Chapter 518: Papa! (Large Chapter!) (4/4)
Chapter 518 Father! (Grand Chapter!) (4/4)
Gaspol replied, "My recommendation is to hand down a verdict on this case first and bring it to a close. Because there are still unplumbed evils hidden within this matter, and given its exceedingly wicked nature and highly severe circumstances, we can open a new case for a fresh round of trial.
If you have an object of indictment at this moment, you may prepare the filing materials first and submit them to me."
Naturally, the present case had to be secured first; Gaspol understood Karen's intention perfectly well. He was simply striking while the iron was hot to lay the groundwork for the next phase of the investigation, and she was more than willing to cooperate.
"Chief Judge, I have already prepared the indictment documents and will submit them to the tribunal now."
"Very well," Gaspol said with a nod.
Karen turned his head, looking in the direction of Alfred and Wick.
Alfred looked at his own desk but could not find the appropriate file.
Wick bent down, picked up a document bag that had previously held a suicide note, and gave Alfred a meaningful look.
Alfred nodded, signaling that it would do.
Wick stood up, carrying an empty document bag as he walked over to Karen, placing it into his hands.
Karen reached out to take the empty bag and walked toward the Chief Judge.
A clerk made a move to step forward and receive it, but after meeting Karen's sweeping gaze, silently retreated.
Karen placed the empty document bag before Gaspol.
Gaspol took it; the moment she touched it, she knew it was empty. However, because the front edge of the bench blocked the line of sight, the people below could see nothing. Moreover, no one dared to use their consciousness to probe the Chief Judge's area at such a time; that would be an act of utter irreverence!
Feigning the action of drawing documents from the empty bag, Gaspol smoothly picked up the sheets of paper previously arranged on her desk, her gaze sweeping first from left to right and then descending in tiers.
Having "finished reading" it, Gaspol spoke:
"The tribunal concurs. A verbal notice of notification is hereby issued, requesting Assistant Director Trisen Norton of the York City District Law Enforcement Department to cooperate with the investigation."
As the Chief Judge, she had naturally studied the case files meticulously and was deeply familiar with the circumstances of the Norton family.
Even so, this boy truly dared to place such absolute trust in her professional competence; at the very least, you should have written a name on the empty document bag.
Yet Gaspol was not angry. Instead, because of Karen's "trusting" behavior, she thought this young man was quite exceptional, well aware that her capabilities were of the highest caliber.
However, few people could have noticed that Loya's gaze had already been lingering on Vicole for a very long time.
Her true form was not present, and with the people sealing the space watching her from above the spatial communication array, the power she could exert now was not great.
But this did not hinder the efficacy of her targeting only one person.
After all,
she was the Laxis Bronze Coin, the very source of sin!
The sins and desires within a human heart were like a dandelion picked up in her hand; with just a gentle breath, they would drift and dance across the sky.
Whomever Brother Karen wanted to ruin, she was certainly going to help!
Loya shifted her gaze away and looked upward. To outsiders, the artifact spirit was preparing to be guided back into the sealed space, but Loya's finger silently traced a circle.
Standing inside the cage, Vicole's body suddenly shuddered, and a violent surge of emotional turmoil erupted in an instant, making him far more agitated than before.
"I don't want to die, I don't want to die, I don't want to die..."
He was seen grasping the bars with both hands, pressing half of his face tightly into the junction between two bars, the will to survive completely suppressing the meager amount of rationality left in his brain.
Facing the direction of the VIP gallery ahead, looking toward Bishop Dolph, Vicole screamed hysterically:
"Save me, Father!"
