Chapter 350: Boss Fang's Tourism and Sightseeing Tour Sets Off Again

The films within Fang Qi’s shop had once been likened to wondrous treasures capable of transmitting martial paths and Daoist arts; though such a statement was overly narrow, the two did indeed share a profound similarity.

Take *Zhu Xian*, for instance—though the system-enhanced television series contained hidden Easter eggs, and Fang Qi had learned the Divine Sword Lightning Controlling True Formula by watching Master Shui Yue teach Lu Xueqi, observing an explicit instructional process was not the sole method to acquire the various spells and cultivation techniques across the dramas.

Every individual, in the midst of watching, could vividly comprehend and feel exactly how these sword formulae and spells were executed; even the underlying structure and utilization of certain artifacts could be grasped with far deeper insight, which was precisely why everyone took care to meticulously watch Perfected Qing Ye’s spells and sword formulae at the beginning of each episode.

Naturally, a direct instructional demonstration yielded far more detailed, accessible, and intuitive comprehension, and it was for this reason that Fang Qi had leapt many steps ahead of the rest to master the Divine Sword Lightning Controlling True Formula first.

By this time, early converts like Ruan Ning and Liu Ningyun had clearly begun to master some of the more fundamental sword-riding techniques of the Qingyun Sect.

For as Boss Fang raised his head, he caught sight of several figures hovering just outside the shop entrance.

It was barely mid-morning.

"Hahaha! Come look, come look—behold this lady's sword-riding technique!" Flush with coins now, the artifact sword beneath Ruan Ning’s feet was evidently a fresh purchase, and its price tags were bound to be exorbitant.

She stood balanced upon the blade, wobbling precariously at first, but soon enough the flying sword bore her aloft; lacking the spiritual energy deficit of a Zhang Xiaofan, she quickly commanded the blade to trace a neat circle in the sky once it took flight, her movements rapidly growing deft and practiced.

"Show-off," Boss Fang muttered, rolling his eyes at her. "Look at Fairy Liu over there; she rode her sword all the way here in the early morning. You’re nothing but a half-baked amateur."

Liu Ningyun stood nearby, the Dragon Slayer Saber badge still pinned to her bodice; frequently tasked with carrying her master through *The Legend*, she had been dragged into the guild by Ruan Ning under mild duress, solely because she was constantly slaughtered and stripped of gear whenever others intercepted their monsters, leaving her no choice but to seek the shelter of a faction!

Otherwise, her own demise mattered little, but if her venerable master were repeatedly hacked to death by common ruffians, where would the sect's dignity lie?

Thus, when it came to soaring through the skies on a sword nowadays, wearing that badge ensured no one dared cross her path.

"It is hardly as formidable as that," Liu Ningyun replied with a smile, shaking her head. "I only began riding the sword once I entered the city... originating from the Nanhua Faction... a novice like myself simply lacks such capability."

Though she still held a lingering reservation toward Boss Fang, spending her days mingling within his guild meant she could hardly maintain a cold facade toward the Great Guild Master forever, so her speech today carried a markedly gentler, more amiable tone.

"She is the Heavenly Maiden of Nanhua, while I am but a common citizen—how can we compare?" Ruan Ning said, her face flushing with mock indignation. "All you do is stand by and make sarcastic remarks."

She then muttered under her breath, "Rubbish guild leader, Old Demon Fang!"

"What did you say!?" Old Demon Fang’s eyes widened in a glare.

"Nothing!"

Shushan—the Shushan known to Fang Qi, aside from the one in *The Legend of Sword and Fairy*, likely amounted to only one other: the Shushan Sword Cultivators, with the Emei Sect at their vanguard.

By this hour, the shop's patrons were filtering in one after another to start their sessions; even the slacker crew, who preferred to lounge lazily upon the couches finishing their instant noodles and cola, washing down spicy gluten strips with carbonated drinks, had exhausted all their idle diversions and prepared to log into their games.

"Hey, don't say I didn't warn you all, a new movie is out," Boss Fang remarked, tapping the small blackboard as he addressed Ruan Ning and her companions.

As members of his own guild, he felt compelled to offer a brief recommendation for a film of this caliber.

"Do you mean *Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets*? I’ve already finished that," Ruan Ning said, utterly mystified.

"Shushan?" Liu Ningyun held a bowl of instant noodles, the broth still unconsumed; taking a quick sip, her eyes locked onto him, her usual refined posture entirely forgotten. "What sort of movie is this? Is it a story about a mountain?"

"..."

Boss Fang could only turn to the group chat and send a message: "*Shushan* group viewing carriage, pay your fare and climb aboard. Anyone joining?"

Song Qingfeng: "The Shushan Sect?"

Nalan Mingxue: "Is it *The Legend of Sword and Fairy*?"

Su Tianji: "Could it be the sequel to Xiaoyao and Ling'er?"

Jiang Xiaoyue: "Boss, you released a new movie and didn't even tell me! I haven't even written it down over here yet~!"

Swiftly, Jiang Xiaoyue scribbled the name of the new film, *Shushan*, onto the small blackboard of the Jiuhua City shop.

Instantly, a vast host of lurkers materialized within the "Boss Fang Tourism and Sightseeing Group."

Nalan Hongwu: "How has it become Shushan? No *Legend of Sword and Fairy* this time? (Questioning Emoji)"

Ye Songtao: "We are already learning the ultimate arts of the Shushan Sect, why should we bother watching this?"

Ye Xiaoye: "Just tell me if Ling'er has been resurrected. If not, I'm not watching!"

After all, her heart still yearned for Ling'er.

Boss Fang: "No!"

Ye Xiaoye: "Then I won't watch!"

Su Tianji: "Not watching, definitely not watching!"

Lan Yan: "Without Ling'er, what is there to see!"

"Watch it or don't, if you don't, I'll drive the carriage myself!"

Perfected Xi Chi: "Wait!"

"Our Nanhua Faction wishes to watch!"

Tang Yuan, Shopkeeper of the Yuanheng Pavilion: "Could this old man be permitted to join?"

Black Demon: "What fine treasures await? We haven't learned them yet! Count us in!"

Daoist Red Wing: "Count me in as well!"

Ning Bi: "Me!"

At that moment, a group from the Haoran Sect happened to step into the shop: "Boss, what sort of movie is this *Shushan*? Why is it so expensive? Fifty crystals?!"

"Are you watching or not?"

"We will watch! We simply wonder what extraordinary treasures lie within to warrant such a steep price?!" the grey-robed cultivator from the Haoran Sect remarked as he handed over the coins.

"If you are watching, hurry up!" Boss Fang wasted no breath; once the crowd gathered, he initiated the screening directly, for he himself was somewhat impatient to begin.

In that instant, a massive throng of people flooded into Boss Fang’s virtual space within the blink of an eye.

It was not merely the Haoran Sect; Fang Qi discovered that Su Tianji, Ye Xiaoye, and the others who had previously sworn they would not watch had all tumbled inside in a chaotic rush.

Even Ye Songtao, Nalan Hongwu, and Lan Mo had slipped in with the crowd.

"Didn't you all say you weren't going to watch?!"

"This lady (this master) reflected upon the matter and decided it best to take a look first!" Though their mouths uttered denials, their bodies proved thoroughly honest.

"..."

The darkness gradually dissolved into a brilliant luminescence, and the scenery shifted before their eyes, as though they had been transported amidst the colorful clouds beyond the heavens.

The moonlight receded, and a vast river of stars hung before them like a dazzling canopy.

"As the saying goes, beyond the mountains lie more mountains, and beyond the heavens lie further heavens. Within the boundless universe, stars as numerous as the sands of the Ganges shift between dawn and dusk, emerging in endless succession."

"In the region of Shushan within Sichuan of the Central Plains, the mountain ranges twist and roll, while the sea of clouds surges and races; the spiritual aura of heaven and earth converges between the streams and peaks. Legend tells of immortal eccentrics within these mountains who absorb the spiritual aura of the peaks, transcending their mortal shells to ride swords through the air, chasing the wind and pursuing the moon, hurtling through the sea of stars."

The view before them advanced slowly, piercing through the sea of clouds to reveal a multitude of peaks rising majestically, the tallest reaching straight into the firmament; moreover, immense crags hung suspended high in the void, independent of any support, floating in the empty air!

"Wow..." Above the sea of clouds and beyond the earthly realm, the sunlight refracted into spectacular rays that illuminated every direction, draping the entire mountain range in a mantle of rosy clouds, resembling an immortal paradise.

A good number of cultivators could not help but halt in their tracks, gasping in admiration as they lingered within the spectacle.

PS: There should be two Shushan movies; the old one was filmed in '87, starring Adam Cheng and Brigitte Lin. I wonder how many people have seen it, but let's write about the 2001 version starring Ekin Cheng first.
