Chapter 434: Mechanics and Dharma Artifacts (Bonus Chapter for Monthly Tickets)
PS: The ground of a cultivator's mega-city must be flat and comfortable. The system treasure chest provided a sci-fi black-tech unlimited edition sports car, which is an enhanced version by the system, so there is no need to question whether a sports car can reach high speeds here.

Though the tale of The Legend of Sword and Fairy 3 did not serve as a sequel to any prior work, this did little to dampen the burning enthusiasm of the clienteles in both shops.
When it came to spells and supreme techniques, the arts mastered by the two protagonists, Jing Tian and Xu Changqing, differed slightly from those of Li Xiaoyao.
For instance, Xu Changqing did not specialize in the way of the sword but rather in talismanic arts, while Jing Tian did not major in the Flying Sword technique, leaning instead toward sword styles that utilized the Demon Sword; the only true Shushan Sect mental cultivation method Jing Tian learned was the one taught to him by Xu Changqing.
Where Jing Tian truly excelled, however, was in his terrifying comprehension of the sword, a gift born from his status as a reincarnated deity.
This was something that the players could keenly feel as well.
During the catastrophe of Penglai, Jing Tian’s strength was still rather ordinary. Even when controlled by Boss Fang, whose own sword attainments were by no means low, using the sword techniques still carried an inexplicable sense of sluggishness. Yet, as the plot unfolded, it was not long before Fang Qi himself could glean a great deal of insight from the sword arts that Jing Tian came to understand on his own.
Unlike The Legend of Sword and Fairy 1, The Legend of Sword and Fairy 3 featured two male protagonists. A dual-protagonist narrative naturally split into two separate storylines, allowing players to experience the game and view the entire world through the identities of two different characters, which could be said to offer two entirely distinct perspectives.
The core theme of The Legend of Sword and Fairy 3 lay in reincarnation, and Xu Changqing and Zi Xuan represented yet another cycle of rebirth. A entanglement of love and hatred spanning three lifetimes, a destiny woven through several incarnations—this emotion that transcended samsara could only be truly felt with that heavy weight in one's heart by immersing oneself entirely within it.
On the other side, Jing Tian’s plotline was further subdivided into two paths. On one hand was the Miss of the Tang Family, spoiled and willful yet not lacking in charm; on the other was Long Kui, his younger sister from another lifetime a thousand years ago, who had lain dormant within the Demon Sword for a millennium.
This familial bond, unforgotten even after a thousand years had passed, likewise cast a heavy emotional weight upon everyone.
With a party of protagonists who each carried their own affections from past lives and reincarnations, players journeyed together to experience the bizarre, wondrous, and varied tales of the humans and demons around them, a stark contrast to The Legend of Sword and Fairy 1.
To the majority of players in the other two shops, it was already thoroughly captivating, to say nothing of novices like Li Lanruo and her companions, who had fallen completely into the pit.
At any rate, since few customers were coming through the doors at the moment, the few of them abandoned all awareness of being shop assistants and played games like madmen.
Inside the "Legend of Sword and Fairy Exchange and Discussion Group," things were as lively as ever.
Gradually, Li Lanruo began to join the discussions, ranging from which girl in the game was their favorite to which protagonist was the most handsome, her Penguin messenger chiming incessantly.
Naturally, aside from these topics, they also exchanged thoughts on things like the plot of Jade Dynasty and the sword techniques and spells of The Legend of Sword and Fairy 3.
In the lounge area near the entrance, Xiaoyue was seen sitting on a sofa with a large white deer. The large white deer actually held a milk tea cup with its two front hooves, lounging on the sofa and sipping the beverage.
"Yo-hahahaha... Milk... milk tea is so delicious!" it cried out to the heavens in a babyish voice that was entirely out of tune.
"Right, right!" Jiang Xiaoyue said with a smug grin. "This princess used to eat delicious things here every single day!"
"Yo-hahahaha... Yes, yes!" a bout of deer-like laughter ensued.
Just then, a young gentleman dressed in a black robe, handsome in appearance and looking to be about twenty years old, walked toward the shop, followed by an imposing attendant.
"Young master..." A servant from the neighboring Muyun Residence came up to make trouble again. "You mustn't enter this shop! This shop owner has offended the Nangong..."
"Ouch—!" A miserable cry rang out.
"Get lost!" The attendant behind kicked him into a rolling tumble, then pointed at the young gentleman in front of him. "Do you know who this is? What Nangong or Beigong? In this city, there isn't a single shop my young master cannot enter!"
The young gentleman paid no heed to the commotion behind him. He simply fanned himself with a folding fan, inspecting the layout and atmosphere of the shop. "That's right, I've come to the right place! The furnishings in this shop share the same craftsmanship as the land-rowing Dharma artifact from that day."
The attendant bowed and scraped as he said, "Young master, according to that fellow, this shop owner might have offended people from the Nangong family..."
"If he offended them, so be it. It's not as if we offended them," the young gentleman said nonchalantly. "Those people from the Nangong family all have their eyes fixed on the sky, being even more arrogant than this young master. It disgusts me just to look at them! This fellow is quite a talent, let's go in and take a look!"
"Ah... Yes, yes!"
The moment they stepped through the door, the attendant bellowed, "Ob—"
Before the word "owner" could leave his lips, he suddenly jumped in fright, pointing at the person and the deer sitting in the lounge area. "This... this..."
"Hmm?" The young gentleman was also slightly startled. "Isn't this the little princess of the Jiang family?"
He hurriedly stepped forward. "I never expected to meet the little princess of the Jiang family here. What a privilege! What a privilege!"
"Xiaoyue, is this a friend of yours?" Boss Fang looked at the black-robed gentleman before him with a look of doubt.
Outside the shop, the servant who had just barred their way was already being thrashed by his own boss. "Are you blind? How dare you stop a young master of the Tang family?!"
"I am Tang Yu!" The young gentleman cupped his hands in greeting. "My Tang family is well-versed in the ways of mechanics and Dharma artifacts. A few days ago, I happened to see someone utilizing a Dharma artifact to construct a land-rowing Dharma boat, traversing the city at a speed even swifter than ordinary demonic beasts. On a whim, I have come... to pay a visit and take a look."
"..." Boss Fang's face twitched. "Are you well-versed in mechanics or Dharma artifacts?"
"..." The young gentleman looked at Fang Qi as if looking at a strange creature. "Could it be that you do not know, brother? Our Tang family has always advocated for the integration and coexistence of mechanics and Dharma artifacts. How could they be split into two?"
"A few days ago, I saw your land-rowing Dharma artifact. It possessed not a shred of spiritual energy fluctuation, yet it could fly along as if running. I did not expect to encounter a kindred spirit within this city?"
Boss Fang: "..."
"Though it may be somewhat presumptuous, still..." the young gentleman said, "could the owner allow me to take a look at that land-rowing Dharma artifact of yours?"
Boss Fang: "..."
He thought for a moment. "Alright, just a brief look. You can't look for too long, and you can't touch it carelessly!"
With that, he retrieved the sports car from his storage Dharma artifact.
Beholding the uniquely shaped yet flawless "land-rowing Dharma artifact" before him, a chorus of clicks and tongue-clacking admiration drifted in from outside the door. "Exquisite craftsmanship! Truly a masterpiece of nature! Every single joint fits seamlessly, and the design of this vessel's body... it can almost perfectly evade the interference of the wind when running... No spiritual energy, not a single trace of spiritual energy?! To think it was forged entirely through the methods of mechanical gears?!"
...He looked as though he wished nothing more than to stick his head straight inside the car.
Watching this fellow who looked ready to drive his precious sports car away on the spot, Boss Fang's face twitched continuously. He naturally could not have imagined that this single bout of drag racing outside the shop would not only bring back a little girl, but also bring in a sports car enthusiast and mechanical fanatic to boot.
...
Meanwhile, at this very moment, the students of the Taiwang Mansion had also received the news—the academy examinations of the Haotian Academy were about to commence. All students were required to rush to the Haotian Academy within three days!
