Chapter 1575: Charm Demon God Lord!
Chapter 1575: Demon God Sovereign!
As the Sovereign of Peace took effect, the former chief of the Chaotic Crimson Race—Lei Ze—and his people beneath his command were officially enfranchised as citizens of the Sun God Realm.
Their loyalty instantly surged past ninety points.
One could plainly see the shift in Lei Ze’s expression as his gaze fell upon Zhou Wushi—the fire in his eyes blazing with fervor.
"Finally, the Chaotic Race has achieved unity," Zhou Wushi declared.
"Once my identity is revealed, you shall lead your people of the Crimson Chaos to the Supreme Cosmic Expanse and reunite with the remnants of our race."
"Indeed, Your Majesty," Lei Ze replied without hesitation.
Prior to this, they had never merged—first due to the circumstances of their age, and second, because no one of such power had ever emerged to command and subdue the entire race. Not someone like Zhou Wushi.
Now the age of the Chaotic Will has passed too long, too far gone.
The Supreme Will and the Red Sovereign have gradually ceased to care about the Chaotic Human Races in both great cosmoses.
Add to that, the emergence of Zhou Shiyu.
Li Ze understood.
The time Zhou Shiyu spoke of was precisely the optimal moment for the Chaotic Human Races to reunite once more.
Thus, He could not refuse.
It was impossible to refuse.
Zhou Shiyu saw this and gave a slight nod.
At that very moment,
He suddenly sensed something, turning his gaze toward the distant horizon.
He spoke, "Lei Ze, step back. As for the Chaotic Crimson Race, let them function normally."
"Yes, Your Majesty."
Lei Ze bowed respectfully.
Then he vanished into a streak of chaotic lightning, dissolving into the air.
Zhou Wushi watched this, turned, and sat upon the divine throne, awaiting the arrival of the next "guest."
Soon,
a silhouette of deep violet streaked across the sky, arriving in a single blink at the gates of the temple, materializing into a graceful, alluring form of deep purple.
Before this being, Zhou Wushi could not help but exclaim.
She truly was beautiful.
Yet, in terms of appearance, she still fell short of Him.
But it had surpassed ninety-nine point nine percent of living beings and deities.
And at this very moment, this form that had bewitched countless souls, now stared at Zhou Shiba with eyes filled with astonishment.
He could never have imagined.
It had only been a short while since then, yet this little one before him seemed to have undergone a complete transformation.
Standing here now, he found himself barely able to comprehend this child.
How had he done it?
What had he endured?
A sea of questions swirled within his mind.
Just as he was about to speak, two figures swiftly flew in from outside the divine palace, landing on either side of Zhou Shiba.
It was Bai Yun, and another subordinate of a fourth-tier supreme deity.
They now stared at each other coldly, as if the slightest provocation from the other would immediately lead to open conflict.
This figure, whose presence mesmerized all beings, was visibly stunned by the sudden appearance of two top-tier supreme deities before the "Mimic Demon Lord," yet made no further sensitive movements.
"Needn't be afraid,"
"This one is the chieftain of our Mimic Demon clan."
"He won't harm the Emperor."
Zhou Wushi smiled calmly as he spoke, clearly identifying their identity.
It was the chieftain of the Mimic Demon clan—the Mimic Demon Sovereign!
In fact, the Holy Ancestor of the Mimic Demons!
For his cultivation level was unmistakably that of a first-tier Supreme Deity.
No wonder he could plead before Os, sparing this god's former body.
Zhou Wushi thought to himself.
Though it was said thus,
he still did not move to let Bai Yun and the others step aside, keeping them firmly in front of himself, separated by a great distance from the Demon Queen.
The Demon Queen's face stiffened, appearing slightly awkward, yet she said nothing, instead adjusting her expression and smiling gently:
"Norctuul, congratulations—you have finally defeated Os and become the most qualified candidate among all the Crimson Lords to serve as the Fifth Reserve of the Crimson Sovereign."
Zhou Wushi's expression was strange.
Defeating such a weak Crimson Lord—what could possibly be worth celebrating?
Yet, given the comparison to the original form, it naturally paled in significance, so he calmly replied:
"Lord Demon Queen, your words are excessive."
Then He said nothing.
The Demon God Sovereign, seeing this, did not feel embarrassed. Instead, he said, "Since you have now defeated Os, your previous promise remains valid. You are still the sole Demon Lord of our Demon race. Your divine realm may still be called the Demon Realm of Gods, and I will still stand behind you."
He had assumed that Noctuul would be profoundly excited by this.
After all, this was a Supreme God offering unwavering support to an entire race.
The benefits were self-evident.
Yet Zhou Wuyu's reaction was entirely unexpected.
"Then thank you, but no need."
Zhou Wuyu spoke calmly. "I believe that even if I do not rely on the Demon God Clan, I can still live well on my own. Indeed, I could even independently vie for the position of Fifth Reserve of the Crimson Sovereign."
The Demon God Sovereign stood still, stunned.
This was not at all what he had imagined!
He was a Supreme God, and one who carried the entire resources of the demon-mage race.
Such overwhelming power—how could Nocturne remain unmoved?
Then He saw the two Supreme Gods before Nocturne.
Feeling the unrivaled aura of these apex deities pouring forth, His expression grew increasingly grim.
He understood.
It was these two Supreme Gods who had given Nocturne the confidence!
After all, He himself was merely a first-tier Supreme God.
Though he could not visibly perceive it, from the sheer strength radiating from these beings and their proven record of annihilating multiple Supreme Gods before, these two deities likely possessed the terrifying power of at least fourth-tier Supreme Gods.
With such strength, and possibly a hidden, overwhelming force behind them—
Nocturne might truly regard Him and His demon-mage lineage as insignificant.
Not to mention, he had previously abandoned the other, even denying them the right to continue using the title of "Lord of the Demon Queen" in the Red Lord's Championship.
The Lord of the Demon Gods thought it over, and a chill crept into his heart.
He had truly offended the Lord of the Demon Kingdoms.
Rebuilding trust between them now would be no easy task.
Yet, who could have foreseen back then—when a Red Lord, grievously wounded and with his kingdom's lords on the verge of collapse—was suddenly rescued by a powerful ally, turning the tide and rising from the ashes? Now, he is even considered one of the most likely candidates to become the Fifth Reserve of the Red Sovereign?
If he had known this earlier, how could he have abandoned Noctur?
The Lord of the Demon Gods opened his mouth, unsure of what to say to resolve their "misunderstanding."
Zhou Shiyu, seeing this, found it quite amusing.
But he didn't wish to linger in conversation, so he said:
"Lord of the Demon Gods, your majesty."
"You go first."
"The title of Lord of the Demonic Beast will continue to be used by me, as I enter the Red Lord's Championship."
As for the rest, Zhou Shiba said nothing further.
Nevertheless, upon hearing this, the Lord of the Demonic Gods still beamed with joy.
That Nocturne could say such a thing meant he had not let the conflict between them weigh on his mind.
With this signal, the demonic heart felt much more at ease.
As for how to build a strong relationship with this promising heir, even to bind themselves so that their fortunes rise and fall together—this could be handled gradually. There was no need to rush.
"Very well."
"And, Lord of the Demonic Beast—"
"This is a small token from me, a gift to celebrate your conquest of the Chaos Crimson Dominion of Os."
"Wishing you continued victories over greater foes, swift ascension to the Fifth Reserve of Crimson Sovereign, and ultimately, true ascension to the Crimson Sovereign itself!"
The Demon Goddess Sovereign spoke.
At the same time, a World Ring shot from her bosom and landed gently at Zhou Wuyu’s side.
Zhou Wuyu glanced at it briefly, then nodded slightly.
To his eyes, the treasure within the World Ring was hardly remarkable.
Yet, from the perspective of a First-Class Supreme God, the gift was profoundly substantial—likely causing the Demon Goddess Sovereign to feel pained for some time to come.
The sincerity was, at least, adequate.
In truth, she did not particularly care about the actions the Demon Goddess Sovereign had taken.
After all, it was the original body that suffered—what did that have to do with Him?
He would never shoulder every responsibility upon himself.
Now the demon god race had offered sufficient sincerity in compensation, and Zhou Wushi, as a beneficiary, cared even less.
The demon god sovereign said nothing further, fearing to provoke Nocturnal's impatience, and departed swiftly.
Not long after the demon god sovereign had left, Bai Yun spoke respectfully:
"Report to the Sovereign."
"The Crimson Army has returned once more, ready at any moment to advance alongside the Sovereign against other Crimson forces."
"Very well."
Zhou Wushi nodded, rose to his feet, and declared: "Time is not on our side. Let us begin now, within this Crimson cosmos, the war of conquest that belongs to us."
"Yes, Sovereign!"
Bai Yun's eyes shone brightly.
Simultaneously waging conquest wars within the Supreme Vast Cosmos and the Crimson Cosmos.
Such a feat—since the two great cosmoses were first established—had rarely been accomplished by any true master of strength.
To be able to accompany the Emperor in such an endeavor filled Him with profound pride.
Immediately thereafter, the two deities did not waste a moment, returning swiftly to the Demoness Divine Realm, where they led their armies and launched a conquest war against the lordly factions surrounding the borders, centered on the Demoness Divine Realm.
Under the overwhelming might of their forces and the absolute supremacy of their peak combat power, the territorial boundaries of the Demoness Divine Realm expanded at an astonishing pace.
...
The Crimson Domain.
Here lay a domain of pure crimson.
From sky to earth, in all directions—everywhere was crimson.
At the very zenith of the sky, a colossal crimson eye lay shut.
Suddenly!
The crimson eye snapped open.
With its sudden awakening, a devastating crimson storm erupted across the entire crimson domain.
Gazing upon that crimson eye, if the Supreme Will were present, it would discern within its depths a flicker of doubt, shock, and rage.
"Os, that fool! I just bestowed upon him a reward moments ago—now he's been defeated by another crimson lord, and he's lost his very status as a lord?! "
"Damn it!"
"I held him in such high regard, yet he turns out to be such a weakling."
"I thought he might even catch a glimpse of the faint grace of the Celestial Emperor."
"Looks like I made a grave mistake."
The Red Sovereign sighed softly.
Such a successor as the Celestial Emperor's heir—indeed, it was no mere accident or chance that one could obtain it.
Then, memories surfaced—the demon lord who had brought down Os.
"The Demon Lord," the Red Sovereign mused.
"This little one... shows some intriguing potential."
"Only recently had he been defeated by Os, his very life hanging by a thread, his divine realm crumbling into fragments."
"And now, not only has he risen again, but he has utterly destroyed Os—a contender with real strength vying for the Fifth Reserve of the Red Sovereign."
"What on earth is going on here?"
The Red Sovereign felt a flicker of confusion.
He had not been closely monitoring the struggles among the Red Sovereigns within his own cosmos. Instead, his focus had always been on the Ultimate Void Cosmos and the race of Delusions. Thus, he knew little of what transpired within his own realm.
Fortunately.
Now is not too late to make amends.
With a mere thought, everything that had transpired within the entire Crimson Cosmos during this period flashed before His inner awareness.
The Crimson Sovereign effortlessly absorbed all of it.
Yet He paid no heed to the rest—his entire focus lay upon the events concerning the Demon Lord in recent times, especially the experiences following his defeat at the hands of Oss.
Soon enough.
He grasped the full sequence of events.
"During the perilous journey back from near-fatal injury, did I unexpectedly encounter two Four-Rank Supreme Deities?"
"These two Four-Rank Supreme Deities first emerged during the Age of Chaos, and they harbor enmity not only toward the Chaotic Will but also toward the Chaotic Human Race under His command."
"They saw the Chaos Red Race, long extinguished, now showing signs of resurgence in this age, and thus felt resentment and unease."
"They wished to prevent the rise of the Chaos Red Race, yet due to the rules I have established, they cannot directly intervene in the War of the Red Lords."
"Then they turned their attention to Noktul—the Red Lord who dared to challenge Os."
"They decided to align themselves with Noktul, to serve him, and to aid him in the destruction of Os and the Chaos Red God-King."
"So it is."
"Such a connection indeed."
The Master of Redness nodded silently within his mind.
In the age of Chaotic Will, the Chaos Race had many formidable adversaries.
Now, with signs of their resurgence, it is entirely understandable that the strongest among these foes would wish to prevent their return.
Yet…
"How strange, I always feel something's off..."
The Red Sovereign murmured to himself.
He studied once again the events of Noktul during this period.
Suddenly.
His eyes narrowed slightly.
...
The Capital of the Radiant Sun.
Within the Palace of Cycles.
Zhou Zhou sat in meditation upon the enlightenment cushion, contemplating the laws of existence.
After a long while.
He slowly opened his eyes, and upon doing so, a look of deep reflection settled upon his face.
"Indeed, it is the inheritance of the Chaotic Will."
"Even though I currently only grasp the essence of the Lower Supreme Will and all levels beneath it, I have already gained immense insight."
"Combined with the aid of sacred cultivation artifacts such as the 'Sutra of the Heart',"
"I now feel that I am nearing the threshold of the Third Rank Supreme God."
"My own will has begun to approach the level of the Near-Supreme Will."
Zhou Zhou was profoundly satisfied with his cultivation progress.
He could feel, clearly and distinctly, that he was no longer far from the Supreme Will.
Even though his present strength was merely that of a Second Rank Supreme God,
he had already glimpsed the dawn of becoming a true Supreme Will master.
