Chapter 1646: Attending the Banquet!

Chapter 1646: Attending the Banquet!

At the same time,

the Flame God's Will was observing Zhou Zhou.

The longer it looked, the more it grew unsettled.

For it realized that, despite the fact that the other was merely a fourth-tier Supreme God, something inexplicable stirred within it—whenever it gazed upon him, a chilling, paralyzing dread surged through its very core.

As if, the moment it dared to show even a hint of malice, it would be met with a thunderous, devastating backlash.

Is this truly a Supreme God?

The Flame God's Will was stunned.

As a being of supreme will, it naturally trusted its instincts.

Thus, this could only mean that its feeling was absolutely correct.

Right now, this Supreme God—could truly pose a threat to Him, even... effortlessly eliminate Himself.

A name flashed through His mind at that moment.

"You... are you the Third Reserve of the Supreme Lord—the Prince of the People's Sovereignty?"

The Flame God's Will hesitated for a few seconds, then finally began to speak proactively.

"Yes."

"Are you the Flame God's Will? I know you."

Zhou Zhou smiled.

"Respectfully, Master of the Third Reserve of the Supreme Lord."

Upon hearing this, the Flame God's Will confirmed his own conjecture was correct and immediately changed his tone, bowing respectfully.

Now He understood the source of the threat emanating from this individual.

This one, during the Third Rank Supreme God stage, had already slain a superior Supreme Will cultivator.

Neither Tian Chen God King nor Chongqiu Law Master had ever achieved such a feat.

It was entirely natural to instill a sense of dread in him.

"Stand up."

Zhou Zhou smiled faintly.

"Since we are both attending the banquet, let us go together."

Zhou Zhou spoke.

"An honor beyond words."

The Fire God Will quickly replied.

Then, together, they took flight toward the site of the grand celebration—and the heart of the Supreme Realm.

They flew side by side, chatting as they went. As the conversation flowed, the Will of the Flame grew curious. "Your two newly ascended Supreme Will-tier servants, Prince? What of them?"

"They've just reached the Supreme Will tier," replied Zhou Zhou casually. "Today they've faced many battles, and their minds have gained profound insights. Now they're in a place where time accelerates, absorbing these realizations. But they'll arrive on time, as promised."

"Ah, I see."

The Will of the Flame nodded, suddenly enlightened.

He didn't find it surprising. True strength operates on a principle of raw power—once insight is gained, it must be seized and transformed into strength immediately. To instead come here, flattery and socializing with others, would be a fundamental misstep. Such beings could never rise to the pinnacle of power.

After all, as long as they arrive on time, that would suffice.

The Will of the Flame said no more, and together with Zhou Zhou, they journeyed toward the grand celebration.

Very quickly.

They arrived at the location of the grand celebration.

This was a floating island.

The island was vast, large enough to rival one-tenth of the total area of the great world.

Upon this floating island, countless exquisite dishes were laid out.

The dishes were at the very least of the highest godly caliber, most of them of the supreme will level, and a few even reached the level of transcendent will.

Zhou Zhou, upon seeing this, could not help but subtly swallow.

At this level of banquet, even with his current strength, he could barely produce one part in ten thousand.

No wonder it was a celebration personally hosted by the Supreme Will—indeed, it was extravagant.

And besides the grand feasts, there were vast numbers of servant attendants.

These servant attendants were slender and beautifully formed, representing every known race.

Yet though they appeared distinct in form and appearance across their races, Zhou Zhou could sense that they were all beings born from drops of highly condensed divine laws—beings that might simply be called "law-born entities."

Unsurprisingly, these law-born entities were created by the Supreme Will, and their current task was to fulfill the needs of those transcendent beings dwelling in the realm of Supreme Will.

Beyond these law-born entities, there remained the true transcendent beings of Supreme Will.

There were exactly fifteen of them—most were lower-tier Supreme Will beings, only three being mid-tier.

Zhou Zhou nodded slightly in understanding.

It seemed the Supreme Will beings had not yet all arrived.

As Zhou and the Fire God's Will were just about to find a place to sit, a law-born entity approached, respectfully asking, "Are you the Lord of the People, the Imperial Sovereign?"

"I am."

Zhou Zhou nodded.

The Law-being's eyes lit up, his tone suddenly warm and enthusiastic, yet he maintained perfect restraint, ensuring Zhou Zhou did not feel any intrusion or awkwardness.

With respectful dignity, he said, "Your Highness, the Seat of the People's Sovereign has already been arranged by the Supreme Will. Please follow me."

"Very well."

Zhou Zhou nodded, unsurprised by this.

He turned to the Fire God's Will, who immediately waved his hand, saying, "Your Highness, you needn't concern yourself with me—I'm off to take my own seat."

"Alright then."

"Perhaps we can talk again later."

Zhou Zhou nodded.

Upon hearing this, the Fire God's Will beamed with delight.

How could He not have sensed the other’s intent to forge a bond with him?

Was it truly that the Imperial Sovereign of the Common People valued him so highly?

Could it be that He had personally spoken such words?

The Fire God’s will stirred with profound delight.

This was a rising star—capable of reaching the apex of Supreme Will, and now mentoring two new Supreme Will masters beneath his command!

In strength, status, and connections, none of these could be matched by a mere lower-tier Supreme Will master like himself.

To be recognized and admired by such a towering figure naturally filled His heart with exhilaration.

As for Zhou Zhou, however, he didn’t dwell on it. He simply followed the Law-being to the central banquet hall of the welcome ceremony, where the Law-being then pointed to a magnificent chair beside a vast table and respectfully said:

“Your Majesty, the Sovereign of the Common People, your seat is here.”

Zhou Zhou glanced at it, and his heart instantly leapt.

Why is my seat placed in the second position?

To have a Four-Rank Supreme God occupy the second seat?

Even though I've made extraordinary contributions, is this truly possible?

"Did something go wrong?"

Zhou Zhou felt puzzled within, yet on the surface, he smiled and asked directly.

"Servant has not made a mistake."

"This seat was personally assigned by the Supreme Will. Your Majesty need not worry."

The beings of law understood what Zhou Zhou was thinking about, and with a gentle smile, replied.

Upon hearing this, Zhou Zhou didn't press further and simply sat down.

With a top-tier Supreme Will-level combat power within him, he naturally had no great concerns—what was to be done, was to be done.

I asked that specific question merely because the standards seemed a bit too lofty—only a flicker of doubt in my mind. Now that it's confirmed the standards are acceptable, we may proceed as normal.

"What is your name?"

Zhou Zhou asked the being of law.

Within his heart, he could not help but marvel.

This being of law possessed the power of a first-tier supreme deity, yet here it could only serve as a mere servant. It was clear that the current welcome banquet stood at an impossibly high level of hierarchy.

Upon hearing this, the being of law was filled with astonishment, yet still maintained decorum and inquired politely:

"Your Grace, my name is Qingming."

"Very well."

Zhou Zhou nodded upon hearing this.

Qingming said nothing further, bowed briefly, and then departed.

Zhou Zhou watched the figure fade into the distance, and in his heart he recorded that name.

After all, he was someone close to the Supreme Will.

It would do no harm to meet him.

Though, with his current status, asking the Supreme Will directly about any matter wouldn't be difficult...

At the same time,

the moment Zhou Zhou sat down, every law-bound spirit servant present, as well as the already-arrived beings of the Supreme Will's realm, turned their gaze—intentionally or not—toward where Zhou Zhou sat.

A myriad of thoughts surged through their minds.

The spirit servants naturally dared not speak of Zhou Zhou, the Third Reserve of the Supreme Lord.

But some of the older, established beings of the Supreme Will’s realm had already begun whispering among themselves.

“This is the Great Emperor of the People? So young.”

"Indeed, astonishingly young. By my observation of the thread of his fate, his age hasn't even surpassed twenty-five—yet he has already ascended to the rank of Fourth-Order Supreme God, having even defeated the most elite of the Unconquerable Will-tier masters. This is beyond belief. Even when the Spring and Autumn Master and the Heaven's Punishment God were at their peak, such feats were impossible. Now, this young disciple has surpassed both of them."

"Under twenty-five?!! Are you kidding me?!"

"I am a Supreme Will-tier practitioner of the Fate Will Path. Do you think I could make a mistake?"

"If this is true, the future Third Reserve Commander of the Supreme Lord may very well achieve something greater than what the Spring and Autumn Master or the Heaven's Punishment God ever accomplished."

"Speaking of that is still far off. Let's see if he can grow."

"Agreed."

"The Supreme Will Master's vision is truly unparalleled. If I could find such an heir, it would be a blessing."

"You're just daydreaming, aren't you? Such an heir is something we'd only encounter by fate?!! Go dream and eat shit!"

"Indeed, the Supreme Will Master is no ordinary being—his strength is unmatched."

...

The mighty beings of the Supreme Will Realm were whispering and murmuring among themselves.

Zhou Zhou could hear what they were saying, yet it did not matter to Him.

At that moment,

a lower-tier Supreme Will Realm being stood up and approached Zhou Zhou.

And with that one beginning, the other Supreme Will Realm masters could no longer remain still—they all surged forward, one after another.

Soon,

they had all gathered around Zhou Zhou.

Most of them were lower-tier Supreme Will Realm beings, only a few, three or four, being mid-tier.

At this moment, their attitudes toward Zhou Zhou were all deeply respectful, even somewhat flattery-filled.

"Your Highness, the Emperor of the People, I am the Will of Time. First time meeting you, I hope you will have a favorable relationship in the future."

"Lord Supreme of the People, I am the Will of Bingyun. In the Realm of Extreme Ice, I possess the Palace of Extreme Ice. Should you have time, Lord, I would be honored if you would visit me there—my hospitality shall be flawless."

"Lord Supreme of the People, I am the Will of the Five Elements. For years I have admired your renown, Lord Supreme of the People. I have long known you were the Dragon of Shallow Waters, destined one day to soar to the heavens. Now, my foresight has proven true—your rise to such high office is nothing short of magnificent, hahaha..."

"Lord Supreme of the People, I am the Will of Hehuang. Under my banner stands the Hehuang Divine Court. Every ten thousand years, I select one hundred of the most beautiful women from across the myriad realms—of every race. Should you issue a command, I shall dispatch messengers to bring them to you immediately."

"Lord Supreme of the People, I am…"

...

All the Supreme Will Beings, in turn, introduced themselves to Zhou Zhou, each eager not to fall behind the others.

Of course, among them were those who wished to befriend Zhou Zhou, and others who scorned such flattery.

Yet though they disdained this servile behavior, none dared to step forward and publicly challenge Zhou Zhou in front of the entire gathering of Supreme Will Beings.

After all, they were all titans of cultivation, having spent countless ages refining their strength. Such basic courtesies—never offending others—were well understood.

Above all, the Emperor of Common Lifes had long since subjugated them with His pinnacle potential, His pinnacle strength, and His pinnacle faction.

Otherwise, relying solely on the status of a Supreme Lord Candidate would certainly have been insufficient to conquer this cadre of peak powerhouses from the Supreme Great Cosmos.

The combat prowess of a top Supreme Will Realm expert, combined with the true realm of a Fourth-Tier Supreme God, was more than enough to make these self-important Supreme Will Realm experts shut their mouths obediently.

"Hahaha... so lively here, it seems I have arrived a bit late."

Just at that moment.

A familiar voice rang out.

Upon hearing this voice, Zhou Zhou's eyes lit up, and he immediately stood up, pushing past these Supreme Will Realm experts to arrive outside.

"Brother!"

Zhou Zhou said joyfully.

"Worthy younger brother."

The newly arrived will of the cycle chuckled, "I originally intended to arrive first, but the Underworld has suddenly arisen with urgent matters that required my attention—forcing me to delay a little. Won't you hold it against me, younger brother?"

"What nonsense are you speaking," said Zhou Zhou, shaking his head. "How could I not know of the Underworld's current affairs? That you could come so early is already surprising to me. The ceremony hasn't even begun yet."

The Yellow Springs Realm had just returned, and countless wandering souls from across the infinite realms had poured back into the Underworld. How busy the Will of the Cycle had been during this time, Zhou Zhou could scarcely imagine. He had even prepared himself for the possibility that the Will might not show up at all.

"Still, you understand me, younger brother."

The Will of the Cycle smiled, turning his gaze toward the multitude of supreme will beings gathered around Zhou Zhou. With a gentle wave, he said, "You continue with your work. I'm off to my seat now."

And with that, he bid farewell to Zhou Zhou and, under the guidance of a being born from a fundamental law, proceeded to his designated place.

Zhou Zhou had originally intended to linger and chat with his elder brother a bit longer, but seeing his brother's demeanor, he decided against pressing the matter. He returned to his own seat and began conversing with the many supreme will beings surrounding him.

He refused no one, engaging in friendly conversation with whoever wished to speak with him.

Witnessing Zhou Zhou’s demeanor, these supreme-will powerhouses were secretly filled with wonder.

Ordinarily, a master who achieved such renown at a tender age would inevitably harbor some degree of arrogance, yet a glance at the Common People’s Emperor before them revealed quite the opposite; not only had he won fame in his youth, but his strength and influence were also peerless, with his Scorching Sun Divine Kingdom now likely second only to the Solar Divine Court and the Lunar Divine Court, while the patron backing him was none other than the Supreme Will itself.

Despite the accumulation of such overwhelming prestige, this Common People’s Emperor did not possess a single shred of arrogance.

It was truly beyond belief.

Such were the thoughts that crossed the minds of the supreme-will powerhouses, and their admiration for the Common People’s Emperor deepened all the more.
