Chapter 602: Main Text 602. The Third Level 13, Blue-Haired Prodigy Girl (4)
Book 602. The Third Thirteenth-Level, The Blue-Haired Genius Girl (4)
"It's a rarity to find you not in secluded cultivation, Lin."
Onon Turing walked in with a smile, greeting Lu Sheng.
Lu Sheng spent the vast majority of his time in bitter cultivation.
He was either immersed in the dream space universe or validating his ideas in the real world.
Consequently, out of every ten visits Onon Turing made, he was turned away at least seven or eight times.
Yet over the course of four months, the two had grown quite familiar, looking somewhat like friends now.
Facing Lu Sheng, Onon Turing had shed much of his initial restraint, though a subtle respect was always maintained.
"Get me a cup of coffee as well."
Onon Turing sat opposite Lu Sheng and spoke up on his own initiative, carrying quite a familiar and practiced air.
After his initial curiosity about this White River Market scene Lu Sheng had manifested, he had grown used to it after seeing it so many times.
After all, many in the starry sky had the habit of decorating their rooms to resemble their home planets.
And the starry sky was vast, with too many bizarre and fantastical sights; it was normal not to have seen it before.
Onon Turing had even learned to drink coffee.
Presumably, it was also to accommodate Lu Sheng's preferences.
Lu Sheng signaled to the staff in the cafe and ordered a cup of coffee for Onon Turing.
All the staff in this cafe were artificial intelligences; any request made to them would be met promptly,
making it incredibly convenient.
The coffee arrived quickly, and Onon Turing added a bit of milk with proper form, taking a gentle sip.
"I've inquired; at most, it will take half a month more to arrive at the Hunting Bow.
There will probably be about three space leaps along the way, half a month earlier than expected.
This trip has been unexpectedly smooth.
Perhaps all of our bad luck was left behind on the alien battlefield."
Onon Turing said with a laugh.
"Is that so."
Lu Sheng nodded, "That is indeed good news."
After a brief pause, he asked with a bit of cautious probing, "Are you really not planning to go out for a walk?
There are quite a few interesting places in the giant city.
Moreover, there is... a fellow who is a similar existence to us."
When uttering the last sentence, his expression grew somewhat solemn.
Compared to his time at the dragon field, Onon Turing's sharp edge had undoubtedly mellowed by far, and he now even knew
Striving a bit, he spoke, "Do you mean the Immortal-level extraordinary life physique? The one with the blue hair, that woman?"
"How did you know?!"
Onon Turing's eyes widened, looking at Lu Sheng with utter disbelief, "Did you leave your room midway?"
"No."
Lu Sheng shook his head and said, "But that doesn't mean I cannot comprehend what happens outside the lounge."
Lu Sheng knew exactly who Onon Turing was talking about.
A blue-haired girl who also possessed the Immortal-level extraordinary life physique, with strength not inferior to Onon Turing.
She had boarded the ship alongside a thirteenth-level martial arts expert.
Yes, the Astral Bellflower had guided another thirteenth-level expert aboard midway through the journey.
Presumably, they were just like them, people hitching a ride to the Hunting Bow.
Lu Sheng even felt that their purpose in heading to the Hunting Bow was identical to theirs.
In other words, the Astral Bellflower now possessed a grand total of three thirteenth-level experts to escort it.
Just as Lu Sheng had told Onon Turing.
Although he had not taken a single step out of his room, living a bitter cultivation life akin to being cut off from the world.
It did not mean he lacked understanding of external affairs.
Quite the contrary, he knew many of the events occurring on the Astral Bellflower with absolute clarity.
For instance, the Astral Bellflower had performed eighty-seven space leaps to date and encountered thirteen waves of star pirate assaults.
Among them, Onon Turing had stepped out to fight a total of twelve times.
Seven of those times were alongside that blue-haired genius girl.
The two had fought "side by side" seven times, gaining quite an understanding of each other's strength.
As fellow possessors of the Immortal-level extraordinary life physique, super martial arts geniuses that might only appear once in a hundred star zones.
There had always existed a hidden desire for comparison between them.
Lu Sheng even knew that the blue-haired girl's true strength might be a sliver stronger than Onon Turing's.
Onon Turing responded to Lu Sheng's answer with a complex, indescribable expression.
If anyone else had said such words to him, he would surely adopt a skeptical attitude, thinking the other party was playing mysteries.
But if it were Lu Sheng...
If Lu Sheng could not accomplish this, only then would it seem strange.
Onon Turing nodded and said, "I feel that woman might have the same purpose as us."
"Why not ask her directly?"
Lu Sheng gestured for the waiter to refill the coffee, speaking casually.
Onon Turing said with some resentment, "I asked, but she ignored me entirely."
"Pay attention to your manner of asking questions next time."
Lu Sheng picked up his coffee and took a sip, saying calmly, "If you inquired with an attitude like the one you have toward me, I think she would still be pleased to answer you."
Onon Turing's slightly dark face instantly flushed with embarrassment.
But soon he stubborned up and muttered, "That's only toward you.
Toward her? ...Is she even worthy?!"
Lu Sheng shook his head, too lazy to speak with him.
Onon Turing continued to chat with him about this and that.
After the third cup of coffee, he, as usual, ought to take his leave.
“Come again next time.”
Ononturing rose, bidding farewell to Lu Sheng.
And just then, a flicker of light seemed to flash across the iris of his left eye—followed instantly by a subtle surge of excitement in Ononturing’s demeanor.
“Bounty Alert! Star pirates sighted again.”
Lu Sheng knew that Ononturing wore a communicator directly embedded within his eyeball—a far more advanced model than the one Lu Sheng himself bore, clamped onto the wrist of his combat suit.
Even its signal reception speed surpassed his own.
Just as now: Ononturing had already finished speaking, yet Lu Sheng’s device only then received the belated transmission from the *Star Spirit Bloom* vessel.
Star Pirate Bounty Alert!
All crew members ranked twelve or above are encouraged to sortie and hunt star pirates. Those slain or captured shall earn rewards commensurate with their power level and threat rating.
Moreover, half of all spoils seized from the pirates may be claimed outright.
Naturally, Ononturing held no interest in such paltry rewards or loot—he sought only battle, bloodshed, and rivalry with that blue-haired prodigy girl.
“Care to join me? This might be our last chance to encounter star pirates on this voyage.
Miss it now, and perhaps we’ll never get another.”
Lu Sheng saw in Ononturing’s eyes a wealth of eager anticipation.
He suspected the fellow merely wished to drag him along—to parade before that blue-haired genius, flaunting his prowess.
Yet Lu Sheng felt utterly indifferent toward pirate-hunting expeditions and flatly declined.
“Nah. I’d rather spend this time cultivating alone.
You go ahead.”
Shaking his head, Lu Sheng prepared to see his guest out.
Ononturing replied with a faintly disappointed “Alright,” then, almost immediately, his gaze flared anew with combative fervor.
After parting ways with Lu Sheng, he strode swiftly toward the ship’s airlock.
Lu Sheng, meanwhile, settled back into his seat, sinking his consciousness deep into the Dreamspace Cosmos.
He recalled it had been ages since he last checked in on his Shadow-Side Avatar—wondering what state affairs were in that realm.
Since the thought had surfaced now, he decided to pay it a visit.
