Chapter 513: A Monster That Surpasses Monsters

What exactly is the power of the Chariot? There seems to be no precise answer regarding the nature of this force that has accompanied Wang Yu to this day; the only certainty is that as his physical form grows stronger, so too does this power.

Precisely for this reason, Wang Yu has never ceased his exploration of this strength. As his body reached ever-greater heights of resilience, he arrived at an answer—one reached, perhaps, with a touch of irresponsible intuition.

Having been in this world for so long, witnessing battles great and small, and glimpsing the remnants of ancient wars in history books and ruins, he knew one thing for certain: the "combat power" of this world remained at a level that was hardly hyperbolic. Even the "Morning Star," a bomb capable of permanently altering the geography of a continent, was, in the end, just that.

Throughout all the struggles to date, the destruction wrought by intelligent races has been confined to the surface. No matter how staggering the topographical damage, it has never truly affected the planet beneath their feet. In this regard, according to the records of the Ideal State organization, even the Outsiders are no different.

Thus, when Wang Yu claims to be powerful, that strength stems from the Chariot. In his view, this power is the projection of his previous world into this one—a constant that has never wavered from the very beginning.

And what did that previous world contain? A vast, boundless universe, thousands upon thousands of stars, and a myriad of things Wang Yu himself could never hope to comprehend. When such power is projected into this world—onto this land, which he does not even know for certain is a planet—how could anything here possess a force with a priority higher than that of the Chariot?

Wang Yu no longer bothers to consider whether there is a hierarchy between his original world and this one. Even if the previous world were of equal or slightly lower standing, the power of an entire universe projected into what he calls a "world"—but which is, in reality, merely a single planet—is more than sufficient to possess transcendent intensity and priority.

Looking at the reality of it, there is currently no force in existence capable of breaking his "invulnerable" defense. The power of the Chariot simply exists at that tier of intensity.

Yet, Wang Yu has also called himself weak. This cannot be blamed on his previous world; it is solely due to his own physical constitution, which is, in truth, quite fragile.

Even the most formidable power requires a vessel. He is the carrier for the power projected from the previous world into this one. It is not without reason that Wang Yu calls himself an intruder. The gateway he glimpsed within himself is, in all likelihood, truly a door.

For reasons unknown, this "door" of Wang Yu’s connected two worlds. He is indeed an interloper from another realm, though he is a decent fellow with no interest in causing chaos.

Much like how "Mana Genesis," even when achieving a "pseudo-infinite" effect, still requires an output port capable of bearing that mana—or how a reservoir, no matter how vast, is useless without a faucet large enough to draw from—the previous world is the reservoir, and Wang Yu is the faucet.

He requires a shell strong enough to withstand the power projected and granted to him by that previous world. This is exactly what he has done: choosing a path that resembles that of a knight, constantly reinforcing his own flesh so that it might carry an ever-greater burden of the Chariot’s power.

The learning ability exhibited by his body is, in essence, a form of adaptation. By absorbing the traits of the world’s powerful creatures and optimizing himself time and again, he integrates further into this world while gaining the capacity to wield even greater power from the world above.

The true tier of the Chariot’s power is beyond measure. As long as Wang Yu does not permit it, the Void cannot affect him—that is a given. But should he attempt to use the Chariot to interfere with the outside world, the recoil from the collision of forces would surely injure Wang Yu, this fragile "faucet."

In short, when Wang Yu says he is strong, he refers to the power projected onto him from the previous world; when he says he is weak, he refers to his own body, which is not yet strong enough to bear even greater power.

"The humanoid form likely has no limit, but improvement becomes increasingly difficult." This was the conclusion Wang Yu reached after scrutinizing himself. His power in his "human" state still has much room for growth; his body is constantly learning on its own. Eventually, if his entire physical frame reaches the level of the Shattered Meteorite Blade, shattering mountains and shaking the earth with a single punch would not be impossible.

In a peaceful environment, Wang Yu might have chosen this path of growth. After all, his original body is comfortable to use, and he has no interest in existential questions like "Am I truly me?" But given the state of the continent at the time, how could Wang Yu not prepare a contingency? Together with the girl, this trump card—capable of overturning the entire continent—was born.

After transcending the legendary rank, the vitality of his blood increased frantically, reaching a point where it could survive as an individual entity even when separated from his body.

Once transformed into separate entities, they continued to utilize Wang Yu’s inherent trait of spontaneous physical optimization, slowly refining themselves until these droplets of blood, once detached from his shell, became "new species" that could be considered top-tier predators.

Of course, this process was incredibly slow. For a single drop or a small pool of blood to evolve from the strength of a slime to that of a common creature like a goblin would take at least a year or two. Since the quantity was insufficient and Wang Yu’s "Phase Two" evolution was slow, he decided to let quantitative change lead to qualitative change.

The deep pit outside the Cursed Wizard Tower was filled with Wang Yu’s own blood over the course of nearly a month. In truth, Wang Yu was the primary source of blood for only the first week; afterward, once the blood reached a certain volume, its rate of self-proliferation surpassed Wang Yu himself.

Wang Yu’s ability to absorb minerals and magic crystals for nutrition, much like a dragon, became the foundation for the blood’s continuous growth.

He detonated his own high-energy blood to carve through rock and widen the underground space, mining various minerals below to serve as nutrients for the blood’s expansion, gradually filling that deep subterranean void.

Then, it expanded into wider spaces: downward, reaching the depths of the earth where temperatures soared and magma began to form; horizontally, extending the reach of this massive, root-like blood mass; and upward, beginning to make contact with the powerful creatures living within the land.

Deep in the earth, the blood, constantly incinerated, gradually became capable of withstanding the terrifying heat, eventually moving through magma and drawing "sustenance" from the heat just like an elemental creature.

The outward expansion gradually covered the entire underground of the Alastair Kingdom, extending to the lands beneath several neighboring human kingdoms, and even to the underwater world of the Endless Sea in the far north.

Upward, it encountered earth dragons, troll centipedes, and a series of creatures whose names Wang Yu did not know—beings living in extreme underground environments with physical strength rivaling that of dragons—all of which were devoured by the blood, allowing it to learn more useful traits from their bodies.

Roughly half a month ago, the blood completed its hunt of the extreme-environment behemoths in the depths of the Endless Sea.

In the early days, Wang Yu chose to use the power of the Lady of Night to conceal the existence of this blood. Later, the scale of the blood became so vast that even the divine power of the Night could not fully mask it. It was then he realized that the blood did not need to be hidden at all.

In this state, they had already integrated into the world’s ecological niche—monsters at the apex of the food chain that did not engage in aggressive predation. And as long as the power of the Chariot was not invoked, the Ideal State organization could never observe this blood through the Void.

Although Wang Yu’s name for this blood seemed separate from himself, in the end, this blood was him. He merely worried that his own mind would be insufficient to manage it, so he let the blood act on instinct. In essence, there was no difference between it and his shell; every property he possessed, the blood possessed as well.

If he did not interfere with the Void, then to the Void, he was even more insignificant, more ignorable, and more undetectable than a stone in the material world. The same was true for this blood.

The extreme depth shielded the blood from the observation of other intelligent races on the continent, and its unique properties made it impossible for the Ideal State to discover. Ultimately, through an evolution that did not take very long, this blood—or rather, Wang Yu—raised his strength to a level that was difficult to describe.

The top of the food chain, the highest tier of the ecological niche—these seemed like fitting descriptions. Thus, Wang Yu’s claim of being an "intruder" was entirely accurate. If he weren't such a decent person, the destruction these terrifying pools of blood could bring upon this world would likely make even the creatures of the Abyss pale in comparison.

His enemy, the Ideal State organization, had harnessed a monster from the stars, attempting to use the entire Void as a weapon to consume the intelligent races of the continent.

And so, Wang Yu, "ceasing to be human," became an existence more monstrous than the monster itself. He was a humanoid natural disaster, a tide of blood crawling across the earth. Breaking through the constraints of his humanoid state, Wang Yu, having gathered all his blood, now carried the power of the Chariot, which had broken through multiple tiers in succession.

Now, the power of the Chariot was no longer on par with the Void; it was a force that could crush the Void—more absolute, more aggressive. Surrounding the "Phase Two" Wang Yu, a domain unfolded with a roar, and wherever it touched, the Void retreated.

"How do you feel? Is it difficult to control such vast power?"

Aivia touched the cube on the outer layer of her soul with her psychic energy, speaking to Wang Yu.

Yes, one could think of this object as Wang Yu’s soul. Although it was entirely different from the souls of this world that connected to the Void, it could roughly be considered the seat of Wang Yu’s consciousness.

It was only after his human form was obliterated by the Outsider that he truly realized this. In other words, when Wang Yu had pulled out the "Psychic Protection Cube" while searching for evidence of his soul’s existence, it was actually his "soul" all along. And it was likely that half of this object still resided in the previous world; the "invulnerable body" was the power extending from it.

"Ugh, it feels pretty terrible, actually. Having a bunch of 'tentacles' suddenly appear and having to control them is really pushing it for me. My brain is a mess, oh, oh."

Wang Yu let out a strange cry in response. He was truly flustered; the massive body of blood that had previously acted entirely on instinct now required his direct control. It was as if he had to process every instinctive reflex in his body; being able to control the general direction was already a sign of innate talent.

"Then can you let them act on instinct?"

The girl asked, already beginning to use her touch on Wang Yu’s "soul" to intervene in that massive shell, which was more monstrous than any monster.

"I don't think so. If left to instinct, this blood would attack the Ideal State and the Outsiders as a predator. But I suspect that without finer control, my current strength still falls short of achieving our goal."

Responding with some helplessness, Wang Yu did not need a beast; he needed a monster with strategy and wisdom. In truth, he just needed his body to be more obedient.

"Then let me see if I can help. Oh, it should be fine. I can apply the experience of using perfect fractals to control divine power to you as well."

The girl tapped her chin lightly. Utilizing the permissions Wang Yu had granted her, she began to influence the parts of this massive blood shell in a programmatic fashion. Using the perfect fractal spell construction, bolstered by the unprecedentedly powerful Chariot, she wove a "neural network" that sacrificed minor details in exchange for simpler control.

"Ah, that’s fantastic! Finally, I don't have to turn my brain into mush. I’ll leave the other effects of the Chariot to you. Get ready!"

Wang Yu sighed with relief. With the help of the control panel Aivia had woven for him, he made the massive monster shell move according to his will. In the process, he began to familiarize himself with this Phase Two body, gradually reclaiming control over the finer details.

"Mm, leave it to me. Let's finish them!"

The girl wore a spirited smile. Inside Wang Yu’s massive form, she pointed forward. The perfect fractal spell, which had been gathering information through the Chariot, had fully captured the Outsider’s shell, which had no discernible boundaries.

Calling this spell a "perfect fractal" was perhaps no longer accurate. With the Chariot’s field—which was higher-level than the entire Void—gathering information, and using the biological computer-like effects of this shell to calculate, the girl could almost see the trajectory of everything around them in the past and future.

Perhaps "The All-Seeing Eye"—a name that was somewhat arrogant yet fitting—was a more appropriate title for the spell the girl had created.

"Boom!"

The vast, boundless domain formed by the Chariot collided directly with the Void, sending massive tremors and ripples through it. And that Phase Two monster shell, carrying the power from another world, lunged at the Outsider without mercy.

Now began the duel between two monsters, two indescribable things!
