Chapter 952: An Endless Stream

"Senior Brother Lu Yang, are you all right?" Lan Ting had come to visit Lu Yang in the Hall of Sinners, carrying a basket of spiritual fruits.

"I'm doing quite well, thank you for your concern, Junior Sister Lan," the Immortal Fairy said with a beaming smile. The basket held several varieties of spiritual fruits, all of which tasted wonderful; it was evident that Lan Ting had put a great deal of thought into it.

"Would you like some as well?" The Immortal Fairy passed one over to her neighbor and fellow inmate, Perfected Master Zhui Yue.

Perfected Master Zhui Yue did not decline; she offered a polite thank-you and began to eat.

The Immortal Fairy picked an unfamiliar but beautiful fruit from the basket and handed it to Lan Ting: "Junior Sister Lan, you should eat some too."

The spiritual fruits in the basket were divided into three portions by the Immortal Fairy.

Eating was all about the atmosphere; the Immortal Fairy was not used to dining alone, preferring to share delicious things, which reminded her of the times during the ancient era when she used to feast with Ao Ling and Jiang Lianyi.

The three of them sat together, enveloped in a harmonious ambiance.

Lan Ting curiously observed Perfected Master Zhui Yue: "Are you the Bai Ye that Senior Brother mentioned?"

It was indeed an unfamiliar face, yet knowing the solution to the grand array and being able to enter the medicine storehouse implied that this person was some ancestor of the Immortal Palace.

Lan Ting had asked her master about the true identity of this person named Bai Ye, but looking at her master's demeanor, the elder seemed rather reluctant to elaborate.

Perfected Master Zhui Yue felt too embarrassed to reveal her true identity, so she could only borrow Bai Ye's name for the time being: "Yes, I am Bai Ye."

Perfected Master Zhui Yue silently apologized to Bai Ye in her heart; this was the very first lie she had told in her entire life.

"By the way, Fairy, could you perhaps offer some guidance to Junior Sister Lan on how to cultivate her immortal physique?" Lu Yang asked, feeling a bit guilty since he had been looked after by Lan Ting in every possible way since arriving at the Immortal Palace.

"Are you referring to her Primordial Immortal Physique?"

"Yes."

"Hmm, alright then." The Immortal Fairy seemed a little reluctant, but since it was Lu Yang's request, she would do what she could.

"Junior Sister Lan, how has your cultivation of the Primordial Immortal Physique been progressing?"

Lan Ting gave a bitter smile: "To not hide it from Senior Brother Lu Yang, I have run into some perplexities. I originally intended to cultivate my Golden Core, Nascent Soul, and Primordial Spirit toward the path of Pure Yin, yet my Golden Core and Primordial Spirit seem to defy my commands, continuously absorbing Pure Yang energy instead, causing the Pure Yang power contained within them to grow increasingly rich and dense."

"I also thought about using Pure Yin energy to cleanse my Primordial Spirit, but it was of no use."

The cultivation techniques of the Immortal Palace all leaned toward the Yin attribute, yet her Golden Core, Nascent Soul, and Primordial Spirit insisted on developing toward the Yang attribute. This forced her to study many of her cultivation and combat methods from other sects, leaving her plagued by anxiety.

She had questioned many elders and browsed through ancient texts to no avail; the Primordial Immortal Physique appeared far too rarely, and no cultivation methods had been left behind at all.

In truth, Perfected Master Zhui Yue held Lan Ting in high regard and had secretly searched for a cultivation method for the Primordial Immortal Physique, only to return empty-handed.

"Junior Sister Lan, there is no need to be troubled; this is precisely the inherent process of cultivating the Primordial Immortal Physique," the Immortal Fairy guided her earnestly.

"What is the Primordial? The Primordial is chaos, the unity of Yin and Yang. Although your Golden Core and Primordial Spirit possess the Yang attribute, your physical body is of Pure Yin."

"As long as you steadily cultivate until the Body Integration Stage, your Primordial Spirit will merge with your body, and everything will naturally fall into place, bringing your Primordial Immortal Physique to grand completion."

"It is best to use your Primordial Spirit to absorb even more solar energy; doing so will bring great benefits once you reach the Body Integration Stage."

"Is that true?" Lan Ting's eyes shone brightly upon hearing this, completely sweeping away the gloom that had hovered over her heart for so long.

"This is what I saw within the notes of an immortal." The Immortal Fairy thought to herself that if Lan Ting were to ask where these immortal notes were, she would have to forge a copy on the spot.

How could Lan Ting possibly doubt Lu Yang's words? Her question just now was merely an instinctive reaction.

Lan Ting chatted with the Immortal Fairy and Perfected Master Zhui Yue for a while longer before departing in high satisfaction.

"It seems you share a rather good relationship with Lan Ting," Perfected Master Zhui Yue teased with a smile. Though she found Lu Yang a bit peculiar and shrouded in many secrets, his nature was not bad; if given the chance, she might play matchmaker for them.

Immediately afterward, another disciple of the Immortal Palace arrived with a fruit basket to visit Lu Yang.

"Senior Brother Lu Yang, are you alright?"

Lu Yang recognized her original appearance, but now that she had shrunk, it took some effort to identify her.

He recalled that this one was named He Miao, from the Artifact Forging Room.

"Junior Sister He, I am fine. Thank you for keeping your Senior Brother in your thoughts." With Lu Yang's prompts, the Immortal Fairy handled the interaction with practiced ease.

"It is good to know Senior Brother is fine." He Miao's cheeks flushed slightly as she looked at the Immortal Fairy with bashful eyes.

He Miao was rather shy, not daring to speak too much with Lu Yang, and she swiftly took her leave.

"It seems you share a rather good relationship with He Miao as well," Perfected Master Zhui Yue remarked, her smile becoming somewhat unnatural.

"Senior Brother Lu Yang, are you alright?"

Yet another disciple of the Immortal Palace arrived with a fruit basket to visit Lu Yang.

"Thank you for your concern, Senior Sister An. This prison cell is peaceful and quiet, a perfect place to cultivate my character and refine my temperament; it can be considered a stroke of good fortune." The Immortal Fairy was growing more and more adept at managing these encounters.

"You share a rather good relationship with An Qiuxia too." Perfected Master Zhui Yue's smile seemed plastered onto her face, stiffening by the moment.

Junior Sister Xia Tang, Junior Sister Huang Shan, Senior Sister Bu Lianxin... the Immortal Fairy's room was soon filled to the brim with fruit baskets.

In the past, with Lan Ting standing in the way, the disciples of the Immortal Palace had felt too embarrassed to approach Lu Yang.

But now, with Lu Yang confined to the Hall of Sinners, everyone could visit him as a matter of course, using it as an opportunity to grow closer to him.

Perfected Master Zhui Yue: "..."

Had all those romance novels I placed in the Library Pavilion been read by you lots in vain? Is this boy Lu Yang really that exceptional!

Aside from having a slightly better background, slightly higher talent, slightly higher cultivation, a few more miraculous encounters, a slightly better personality, and knowing a bit more than others, he was no different from any other cultivator.

"Would you like some more?" The Immortal Fairy noticed Perfected Master Zhui Yue staring at her with a resentful gaze, assuming the elder had taken a fancy to her fruit baskets.

"I have no appetite."

"Alright then." The Immortal Fairy resumed eating by herself.

The Immortal Fairy possessed discerning tastes, and these spiritual fruits could hardly catch her eye, but since she was idle anyway, with so many fruits placed right here, she would involuntarily take a bite or two.

The other prisoners looked toward the Immortal Fairy's side, their eyes brimming with envy and jealousy.

Was this kid here in the Hall of Sinners for a vacation?

"Fellow Daoist Lu Yang, I have a few uncertainties regarding the cultivation of the Sword Dao. Could you offer me a word or two of guidance?" asked Xue Shitou from the other adjacent cell.

The Immortal Fairy pondered for a moment; she had plenty of experience dealing with female cultivators, but she was rather inept when it came to the Sword Dao: "Little Yangzi, you handle this one."

Lu Yang truly deserved his title as the number one figure of the Sword Dao among his peers. With just a few pointers from him, the profound riddles of the Sword Dao that had troubled Xue Shitou for years were instantly resolved, revealing a faint glimpse of the path ahead and bringing immense joy to his heart.

"Senior Brother Lu Yang, will you still be telling stories tonight?" Bai Ye's voice echoed from behind.

During the time spent instructing Xue Shitou, day had turned to night, and it was now Bai Ye who held dominance over the body.

Since Lu Yang was right here, there was no need for her to go outside to play.

"I will."

"Strange, why did I feel less busy when I was outside, yet ever since arriving at the Hall of Sinners, I've become even more swamped?" Lu Yang muttered to himself.
