Without industrial methods, relying solely on handcrafting is just painfully inefficient.

Bai Zhenzhen’s original hair-thin flying sword features silver strands streaked with gold. To honor that, we crafted the blade with classical silver-and-gold patterns, infused with broad swaths of golden and white luminescence—using light effects to achieve that elusive “concealed spiritual root” visual.

Due to the sword’s large size, its irregular hilt, and the extreme fragility of its attached jade ornaments, designing a custom case proved a nightmare (standard sword boxes simply wouldn’t fit). This delayed everything past month-end. Right now, I only have the earliest prototype image. The sword itself underwent three major revisions afterward—I’ve overlaid a preview of the final hilt design onto that original image below. Once the complete set arrives in a few days, I’ll post full-color photos in a bonus chapter.
