Chapter 832: Return to Position
Chapter 832: Return to Position
"Li Huowang! Hurry and help!"
Hearing this, Li Huowang drew out his copper coin sword and slashed it forcefully. The red thread tied with the coins shot out instantly, wrapping around Bai Lingmiao and pulling her toward him.
Soon, under his watchful gaze, the hairpin in Bai Lingmiao's hand and even her teeth became incredibly soft, no longer able to harm herself at all.
"Go! I'll take you back!" Li Huowang withdrew the rib bone sword he had stuck into the White Jade Gate and prepared to descend with Bai Lingmiao.
This place was too chaotic; better to leave first before anything else happened.
But the next moment, Bai Lingmiao suddenly reached out and clutched his hand tightly. "Wait... don't go yet! She's right there! Just a little more!"
She spat out a sound, black gas gushing from her mouth.
"Beware—it’s the Death Celestial Dao! Don’t touch it!"
Quickly dodging the black mist, Li Huowang saw Bai Lingmiao's condition deteriorating rapidly and immediately intended to pull her away from Baiyu Jing.
Yet Bai Lingmiao pushed him away gently, slowly spinning under the white light. "Just... just a bit more! I see her! She's so desperate!"
"Wait! There might still be a chance!" The beast-like eye, also beginning to be infected by death, started sensing part of Bai Lingmiao's thoughts.
"What kind of chance! This place is too dangerous—next time we come, it’ll be the same!"
Li Huowang, anxious for her life, extended his hand again—but the two gods struck him away once more with their claws.
Just as Li Huowang was about to leap forward and forcibly embrace them, Xuan Pin blocked his path.
"Dad, you came here to help. If you don’t even know what she’s doing, best not make decisions for Mother."
"She naturally has her own matters and considerations—not everything must revolve around you."
Li Huowang's pupils shrank slightly, surprised that Sui Sui would say such words.
But soon, he was captivated by what he saw. Looking at Bai Lingmiao far off, doing everything she could to accomplish something, he finally nodded slowly. "Fine! I’ll help!"
Li Huowang charged toward the sinister beings surrounding him, joining Xuan Pin in blocking their approach.
Meanwhile, he focused his mind on cultivation, hoping everything would go smoothly for Bai Lingmiao.
In that sea of chaos, Bai Lingmiao followed the threads, her body sinking into the black mist, trying to get closer to the Mother Without Birth.
Death gradually eroded her will, but when another shared that burden, she could barely move. The Two Gods arrived.
The process was long and excruciating.
Several times, she nearly collapsed, but thinking of the wailing corpses in the incinerators, the half-human, half-ghost citizens rotting away, she endured.
She had finally gained a chance to end this terrifying celestial disaster—if she could solve it, she wouldn’t allow failure due to her own weakness! They were too pitiful!
Biting through her lips, Bai Lingmiao raised her mangled hairpin and stabbed it into her chest, then yanked hard on the thread in her other hand.
As distance closed quickly, she finally saw the Mother Without Birth.
Her thread connected to the Mother’s, each one linking wrists and ankles. For a moment, Bai Lingmiao couldn’t tell if she controlled the Mother or vice versa.
The death within Bai Lingmiao’s heart gradually gave way to compassion. Tears soaked the white silk covering her eyes, rolling down her cheeks.
"Mother Without Birth, please help them! They’ve suffered too much! Too much!! Give salvation to all living beings!"
Her voice carried clearly across, and as she wiped the tears from her face, the Mother Without Birth finally stirred.
The white lotus spinning above Bai Lingmiao suddenly stopped, and she plummeted downward.
Li Huowang, accompanied by Xuan Pin, swiftly followed, catching Bai Lingmiao mid-fall.
Feeling the concerned gaze, Bai Lingmiao smiled faintly despite her weakness. "The Mother Without Birth... has returned."
"So death has come back?" Li Huowang felt joy surge within him.
Just as he wanted to quickly descend to confirm whether this was true or false, a voice echoed vaguely from within the White Jade Capital.
"Li Wang..."
Li Huowang sharply raised his head, staring into the white chaos of the White Jade Capital. "Who called me?"
"I believe... everything you said, I believe."
Li Huowang wanted to hear more, but the White Jade Capital was already being covered by stars and clouds, leaving no sound behind.
Falling fast, soon Li Huowang saw the Altar of Heaven below, along with the densely packed followers of the white lotuses.
He switched his left foot to the right, stomping several times on his ankle to reduce momentum, landing steadily on the ground.
The followers of the white lotuses seemed even more informed than Li Huowang. When they steadied themselves, the surrounding believers were kneeling, crying out in despair.
"The Mother Without Birth has returned! The Mother Without Birth has returned! The True Void Home is here!"
"The Red Sun Tribulation is over! The White Sun rises!!"
"The mud originates from chaos! The white lotus appears, the world rises!! The Mother Without Birth has returned!!"
Bai Lingmiao looked upon the scene, ignoring her weak body, staggering out of the palace.
She didn’t go anywhere else—instead, she went straight to the alley where the immortal bodies were kept.
The alley, which had always been filled with low moans and screams, was now eerily quiet, save for the buzzing of flies.
Bai Lingmiao pushed away the hands supporting her and entered, looking at the faces of those who had died completely. Her tears flowed again—but this time, they were tears of joy.
Finally, she could die again. She was truly happy.
She knew that not only those here had perished, but also those turned to ash, those suffering eternal separation of flesh and blood—now they could rest in peace.
Not only that, but more importantly, she had fulfilled what she had promised. That feeling was truly wonderful.
Xuan Pin quietly stepped behind her, her large red robe gently embracing her from behind.
"Mother, you really did something incredible. You ended the calamity, saved many lives."
Bai Lingmiao turned around, burying her face in Xuan Pin’s arms, releasing all the pressure she had held inside these past years.
After all, she wasn’t much older—only eighteen this year.
Xuan Pin turned to look at her father, pointing to the mother in her arms.
Li Huowang shook his head, drawing out the rib bone sword and slicing open a rift, directly heading to Great Qi.
"Sui Sui, comfort your mother well for me."

A Letter to Readers for the New Year
Dear readers, *Dao Gui Xian* began publication on December 1st, 2021, and it has been over a year now.
At first, I expected this book to be a masterpiece, since its content isn’t mainstream. But thanks to everyone’s efforts, it has gradually moved from niche to popular, even achieving the prestigious “Twelve Heavenly Kings” ranking.
Another piece of good news: thanks to recommendations from the Twelve Heavenly Kings, daily subscriptions have hit new highs recently. It won’t be long before we reach 90,000 average subscribers. The goal of 100,000 average subscribers, once unimaginable to a struggling author like me, is now within reach.
If we do reach 100,000, I plan to do something big. What would you like? Let me know in advance—I’ll try my best to fulfill your wishes.
I want to thank all new and old readers for your support. This achievement belongs not only to *Dao Gui Xian*, but to all of you.
The physical book will definitely be released in 2023, though I’m not familiar with the editorial office, so I don’t know exactly when.
There’s only one volume left. This volume may be longer than previous ones, as there are many plot threads to unravel, many loose ends to tie up, and the story will finally reach completion.
There are so many readers following "Dao Gui Xian," and to be honest, the pressure I feel is truly immense. Nevertheless, I will do my utmost to write this final volume well.
The main purpose of posting this chapter today is rather simple—besides reporting on our progress to everyone, it's because the Spring Festival is approaching rapidly. I'd like to extend my New Year's greetings to all my readers: Happy New Year! Wishing each of you good health and prosperity in the coming year, promotions and wealth.
Finally, at the end of this chapter, there will be a Spring Festival red packet provided by Qidian. Remember to claim it.
If you joined early and haven't seen it yet, please wait a moment.
