"A parallel world?" Li Huowang looked at the woman before him with hesitation.

"Yes, a parallel world—another relatively self-consistent hypothesis." The salty sea breeze blew up Zhao Shuangdian's bangs.

"Where is the evidence? On what grounds do you believe that?"

"There is no evidence, which is why it is merely a hypothesis. A bold hypothesis."

Li Huowang looked down at the white spray churned up by the propeller. "Since it is just a hypothesis, what use is there in telling me this? Are you expecting me to help you verify it?"

"No, I just want you to understand a bit more. A person's perspective is actually linked to their cognition. The more you understand, the closer you might get to the truth."

"What do you mean? Do you think my perspective is lacking? No matter how lacking it is, at least my current worldview can be cross-referenced and corroborated! Whereas this thing of yours is just a hypothesis!"

Zhao Shuangdian's brow furrowed slightly and then slowly relaxed. "Li Huowang, there is no need for you to be so defensive. You do not necessarily have to believe that your current worldview is the absolute reality. Understanding more of these things is always beneficial."

"You mean to say that even if I lay the evidence right in front of you, you would still think my world is fake?"

"Why must everything be black or white? The world itself isn't necessarily clearly divided into right and wrong. Why must you persist in clinging to only one possibility? Zhao Shuangdian tried her best to reason with Li Huowang.

"What exactly are you trying to say?"

Just then, the sound of footsteps rang out from behind Li Huowang. "What she wants to say is that the world of absolute truth, which projects all of us, might just be Schrödinger's cat. Before the box is opened, this cat exists in a superposition of life and death."

Li Huowang turned his head and found that the one speaking was Qing Wanglai.

"What? According to your meaning, even though we are currently in this world, we could still exist in a superposition of existence and non-existence?" Li Huowang found it utterly absurd.

"Sigh, that is not what I meant. Wait a moment, let me think about how to explain it to you." Qing Wanglai reached up and pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Enough, don't bother explaining. I know what you mean. You can ponder these things yourselves! Just don't drive me mad along with you." Having said his piece, Li Huowang turned around and walked away from the aft deck.

He did not want to add anything else to his worldview. Listening to their nonsense any further would serve no purpose other than to throw his mind into greater chaos.

"The Great Siming leaves no trace and moves only forward, the Siming's vulnerability exposes the path, and following it leads to the same outcome."

This was the secret incantation for contacting the higher-ups that Zhuge Yuan had exchanged back then. He already knew what these words meant, and through cross-referencing, he had proved that this matter was real and could help him achieve his goal. That was enough.

Since the death of a Siming could sever karmic cause and effect, then he would continue to sever it. Once he severed it to the point where no Siming existed anymore, he could finally cure his illness in peace and quiet, and then reintegrate into society.

A functional worldview was enough. As for what this world truly was, he really did not care in the slightest.

As Li Huowang thought of this, he began to search diligently around the cruise ship.

"What are you looking for?" Ba Shengqing asked as he watched Li Huowang pick up a lifebuoy and inspect the deck beneath it.

"I need to see if the Die followed us this time." The last time, the Die had appeared right in front of him, so it was hard to guarantee it would not follow him this time as well.

"A die? This isn't a casino cruise, where would a die come from?"

"Even if I told you, you wouldn't understand. If you have time to waste on nonsense, why don't you help me look."

However, this time was different from the last. Li Huowang could not find the Die anywhere on the ship.

"Did it really not sneak aboard? Is that fellow actually capable of listening to advice?" This thought crossed Li Huowang's mind, and he shook his head vigorously before walking toward the cargo hold.

He had searched the entire ship, and that was the only place left. Regarding the Die, he felt he still needed to be serious. That entity was no saint; for it to dare involve itself in the battle of the Siming meant it certainly had its own calculations.

If he wanted it to help him over on the other side, he had to hold as much leverage over it as possible. He needed to be able to find it whenever he wanted, and take its life whenever he pleased.

Upon entering the cruise ship's cargo hold, Li Huowang was surprised to find that it contained not just cargo crates and containers, but also quite a few cars secured to the floor, resembling an underground parking garage.

"Would the Die hide in a place like this?" Li Huowang bent down, trying his best not to miss a single detail.

Just as Li Huowang looked under one of the cars, he suddenly felt someone watching him from behind. But when he quickly stood up to check, there was nothing there.

"Is anyone there?" Li Huowang's voice echoed through the cargo hold, but there was no response.

Following that, he asked with a look of hesitation, "Die? Is that you, Die?"

Li Huowang took a few more steps forward. He suddenly stopped, tilted his head slightly to sniff the air, and his face turned deathly pale.

Then, Li Huowang quickly pulled out his phone and dialed Zhao Shuangdian, who was up on the deck. "Hey, I'm in the cargo hold. You and Qing Wanglai come down here, I have something to discuss with you."

Before long, the two of them arrived in front of Li Huowang. Not only them, but the others were also standing right behind them.

"What's wrong?" Qing Wanglai asked.

"You're asking me what's wrong? Shouldn't you first ask yourselves what you've done?"

Li Huowang turned his head to look at the various large and small cargo crates secured to the floor behind him. "Nana, come on out. I know you followed us."

After waiting for a few seconds, the front of a large container opened up like a door. Yang Nana, biting her lip with her head lowered, walked over to Li Huowang's side and reached out to grasp his already clenched fist.

"Can someone explain this to me? What exactly is going on here?" Li Huowang looked at the two before him, his tone becoming extremely heavy.

"I said I didn't want her involved, yet you two just had to go against me, didn't you?"

"Since that's the case, how about I just back out? You all do your thing, and I'll go solo!"

Li Huowang's words made the others tense up. It wouldn't have mattered as much before, but now that it was confirmed Li Huowang could truly reverse time, his importance had been elevated infinitely.

"Huowang, don't blame them. This is really my fault. I sneaked aboard myself. I wanted to help you." Yang Nana anxiously pulled at Li Huowang's hand, attempting to explain.

But she immediately saw that Li Huowang was not listening to a word she said. "You two are absolute geniuses. Such a massive Siming followed us here, and you're telling me you didn't know? What a load of garbage! I'm crazy, not stupid!"

"Jizai!!" Yang Nana's voice suddenly spiked fiercely. "Jizai! As the Wusheng Laomu who governs death and mercy! When the Siming clash, by what right do you forbid me from joining!"
