Chapter 1572: Annihilating the Chaotic Scarlet Divine Kingdom!
Chapter 1572: Annihilating the Chaos Scarlet Divine Kingdom!
The Chaos Scarlet Divine Capital.
Aus was attending to the affairs of state.
Right at that moment.
Yet another messenger came rushing in from outside the palace grand hall, throwing himself to his knees.
Panic was etched across his face, his eyes wide with a shock so profound it seemed he had learned of something utterly impossible.
Beholding this display, Aus could not help but knit his brows in displeasure.
Was the caliber of the messengers in his Chaos Scarlet Divine Kingdom truly so wretched?
To lose all composure over some trivial matter.
He was now the master of a primary Lord God kingdom, with seven Supreme Gods serving as his enshrined enforcers.
With such formidable power at His disposal, it is no exaggeration to say that, barring an assault from a Supreme Will-being, He fears no enemy whatsoever.
Even if a Supreme Will-being truly came charging in, He would be protected by the regard held by the Crimson Sovereign—no Supreme Will-being would dare to harm Him lightly.
Thus, He utterly despises his own messenger’s frantic behavior.
Does this messenger not understand—what nation’s messenger He truly is?
He is now the messenger of the mighty Chaos Crimson Sovereignty!
To react with such panic over trivial matters? How would he ever meet the mightiest beings of other sovereign realms?
Should such behavior persist, it would be nothing short of a disgrace to His dignity!
Oss, who holds such pride above all else, has already decided to replace this messenger later, once the moment is right—
But for now, He only speaks calmly:
"What is it?"
"Your Majesty, an urgent report!"
The messenger gasped, "Just moments ago, I received the latest intelligence—five newly ascended Supreme Deities dispatched by Your Majesty have all been destroyed at the hands of the Red Demon Lord's Crimson Coalition."
"Since these Supreme Deities were unable to halt the enemy, the Crimson Coalition has now entered the heartlands of our Divine Realm, and they are rapidly approaching the Chaos Crimson Capital."
"If no powerful force intervenes, they will reach our Chaos Crimson Capital within days, threatening both our sacred city and Your Majesty himself!"
"What?!"
As the messenger uttered his first words, Osir had leapt upright in shock, staring at him with disbelief.
The Red Ministers within the other divine palaces listened in stunned silence, as if hearing a tale from the farthest corners of legend.
And when the messenger finished speaking, the entire hall fell into a profound stillness.
"It's impossible!"
After an indeterminate length of time, one minister suddenly roared in fury.
This minister is the Prime Minister of the Chaotic Crimson Dominion and himself a member of the Chaotic Crimson race. Since the dawn of their rise, he has served alongside Os, forging countless achievements together. Now, his status has ascended steadily, making him the most trusted Prime Minister in Os's dominion.
Even the selection of the five newly ascended Crimson Overlords was counselled by him.
It was evident, then, of Os's deep trust in him.
Upon hearing the messenger's words, the minister's eyes blazed crimson as he roared, "Are you out of your mind?! A mere subordinate of the Demon Lord—what kind of power could such a defeated general possibly have to kill our five newly risen Overlords?"
"Prime Minister,"
the messenger trembled, his voice trembling with fear, "How could I dare lie about this? This is exactly what I witnessed firsthand. There's even a memory stone here, recording the scene of their fall. If the Prime Minister still doubts it, I can play it for you right now."
The minister stared at him with unblinking intensity, yet said nothing.
He dared not look.
"Open it,"
Os said, his voice dark and heavy.
"Yes, Your Majesty."
The messenger spoke respectfully, then trembled as he produced a memory stone, inputting energy into it. Upon doing so, the transparent stone began to display a series of flickering, phantom images. Eventually, a vivid virtual scene emerged before the assembled ministers and Emperor Os.
The virtual scene was remarkably comprehensive and authentic. To the ministers and Emperor Os, there was no sign of falsehood or distortion.
By the time the scene concluded, every minister present—including the Prime Minister—and Emperor Os himself fell into a profound silence.
Their expressions, beyond disbelief and shock, were reduced to one emotion: fear.
All the ministers of the Chaotic Crimson Dominion stared in terror at the two Supreme Gods behind the demon lord.
Especially the Supreme God renowned for his mastery of archery!
"An elite Supreme God."
A crimson minister spoke bitterly.
The other crimson ministers remained silent, offering no rebuttal.
One arrow, and it obliterated a first-tier Supreme God!
Such power—undoubtedly that of a top-tier Supreme God!
Yet the problem was this:
How could it be that the once-disdained underdog—Noktuar—had suddenly acquired two Supreme Gods of the highest rank?!
And even more astonishing, this occurred right after their own crushing defeat, when the enemy's ranks had just expanded to include these two titans.
They still remembered clearly the state of the demon god sovereign—wounded, dying.
How could it have changed so drastically in such a short span?
Now, they found themselves compelled to look up to the demon lord who now commands two such supreme beings.
Because.
Even the most reverent Os, Emperor of the Divine, whose two earliest divine servants had followed Him from the beginning, were merely two third-tier divine beings.
Close, yes—very close to the pinnacle—but still not quite there.
If those two top-tier divine beings launched an attack, they would have absolutely no chance to resist.
The suppression exerted by top-tier divine beings upon non-top-tier ones is simply overwhelming!
No matter how they thought, they could not conceive of any possibility of turning the tide.
"What should we do?"
The crimson ministers present all pondered this question.
And then, without conscious intent, they all turned their gaze toward Os, seated upon the divine throne.
Os had noticed their stares. Though outwardly calm, within, he was already beginning to feel lost.
Two Supreme Deities of the highest rank.
What could He possibly fight with?
His two Three-Rank Supreme Deities under him—should they hear that their opponent consists of two Supreme Deities of the highest rank—they would likely scatter in panic, abandoning Him, their sovereign.
Those two Three-Rank Supreme Deities had been brought in at great cost to Him. They held both arrogance toward His chaotic crimson divine realm and toward Him personally.
Could He expect them to risk their lives to protect both Himself and His divine realm?
Nonsense.
That they didn’t desert Him in battle and surrender themselves to the enemy—was already a miracle.
So, what should He do now?
Osir’s mind raced through every possibility, and only two paths remained before Him.
One: escape!
Though Osseki had no desire to take this path, circumstances now demanded it—his very life hung in the balance. If there was no alternative, he would have to walk this road.
The second path was surrender!
Osseki considered it for only a moment before rejecting it without hesitation.
Could he surrender to a former underdog?
No. His mind could not accept it!
He would rather flee in disgrace than submit and survive.
Taking a deep breath, he turned to the gods and spoke:
"Brothers and sisters,"
"You have all seen it—the crimson army of the demon lord contains two beings who appear to be top-tier supreme deities."
"I do not know how he obtained such powerful figures, but none of us can stand against such strength."
"If we attempt to fight them directly, the only outcome left for us is annihilation."
"Ladies and gentlemen."
Os's voice was low and heavy. "We should flee."
"Fleeing before the Supreme Overgod is not a sign of shame."
Silence.
All the ministers fell silent.
They stared at Os, stunned that their sovereign would make such a decision.
Os had only recently established the foundational domain of a Supreme Lord, and had just received a reward from the Red Sovereign. By all rights, he should have been at the peak of his glory.
Yet here they were, facing a crisis capable of destroying the entire goddom—forcing Os to abandon his newly built realm and flee.
They were both stunned and, in a way, deeply impressed.
If it were their own fate...
Perhaps he couldn’t be as decisive as Os, abandoning so swiftly the holy realm he had just forged.
Maybe, during those hesitations, the demon lord would strike and wipe them all out.
Os had seen the looks of admiration in the eyes of these ministers.
On the surface, his expression remained unchanged—but within, blood dripped.
Do you think I would do such a thing?
Unless absolutely no other path remained, how could he so easily surrender the realm he had just built?
He knew with certainty.
If he abandoned the realm he had so painstakingly established and fled in disgrace, it would mean not only losing everything he had earned up to this point—but most importantly, it would shatter the expectations of the Crimson Lord.
Upon seeing his actions, the Crimson Lord would surely exclude him from the selection pool for the Fifth Reserve of Crimson Sovereigns. And thus, he would truly be denied a place among them.
'Malevolent Demon Lord!'
'Why?!'
'Why can you have the aid of two supreme, top-tier deities?!'
'Why am I forced into this position, cornered right here by you?!'
'All of this is your doing!'
'Damn it!'
'If I had known this would happen today, I should never have easily accepted the plea of the Demon God Sovereign, sparing your life—instead, I should have crushed you utterly, leaving you with no chance to rise again!'
'A moment of weakness... and now I've fostered such a great calamity!'
Os felt profound regret in that moment.
Yet the compensation offered by the Demon God Sovereign had indeed been substantial, and his newly established Sovereign Realm was at its most resource-starved. He had also thought, after all, that a mere defeated subordinate couldn't possibly cause such upheaval. So he had agreed to the Demon God Sovereign's request.
'Never expected—turns out, that damn demon lord has truly turned the tide.'
Os murmured, his voice heavy with regret.
Yet He knew well that now was no time for self-reproach. Now, survival was paramount.
"Everyone, let us split up and retreat."
"This way, we won't all fall into their hands at once."
Standing, Os looked down at his ministers and declared, "If I survive this, and should one day rise again, I will never forget the loyal ministers who stood by me."
"We shall fight once more—for the throne of this vast cosmos!"
Yet as he spoke, his heart held no spark of hope.
The ministers below responded in kind, their faces aglow with fervor, yet within them, a deep stillness prevailed—no flicker of belief in a future resurgence.
What in the world is there to rise again?
Most of the powerful ones, once they fell, never rose again.
It seemed clear that they would now have to seek a new master.
The crimson ministers thought this in silence.
Then, without restraint, their minds turned to the demon lord who had come here.
With two supreme, top-tier deities, wouldn't the demon lord be the very best choice to join?
As this thought formed, they glanced at the throne, where Os sat, and quietly lowered their heads, ensuring Os did not notice the strange glint in their eyes.
Os had no idea that, just as their alliance was beginning to dissolve, these very beings had already decided to turn their allegiance to the very enemy that had brought about his downfall—the demon lord.
After making this decision, Os immediately packed up and chose a direction, instantly teleporting away.
Os, a god forged from chaos, wielded many powers, especially in teleportation. Under the influence of the chaotic principles, his teleportation speed and range even surpassed those of space-based deities renowned for their mastery of teleportation.
Just as he thought he had escaped, his face suddenly changed.
At the same time.
Zhou Shiba had already led his vast army to the Chaotic Crimson Divine Capital.
When they arrived, they were stunned to find that no defensive or retaliatory mechanisms had been set up—like a beautiful woman who had abandoned her resistance, vulnerable and open to invasion.
"This... is surrender?"
Zhou Shiba stroked his chin.
It did make sense.
On their journey, they had never concealed their might. If this place didn’t yield to their presence, then truly, one would have to admire the audacity of its defenders.
"Let's go."
With a single command, the Crimson Coalition descended upon the heart of the Chaotic Crimson Divine Capital.
With two Supreme Divine Beings among them, they had no fear of ambush.
Soon.
They had alighted within the sanctum of Os.
The temple was vast, its architecture expanded with the principles of spatial law, ample enough to contain their entire crimson army.
Not long after landing, they saw a group of crimson ministers in red official robes rushing toward them, bowing deeply and trembling with fear:
"Your servant, Your Majesty. We bow before the Lady of the Demon."
"We are ready to surrender, to serve you. Please, grant us life."
"You're quite clever."
Zhou Shiba chuckled, his voice warm and amused. After speaking, he surveyed the group and asked, "Where is Os?"
The leading minister, the prime minister of the Chaotic Crimson Kingdom, stepped forward and replied:
"Your Majesty, just a moment ago, Os escaped on his own."
"But please, Your Majesty, I have already sent the two Supreme Deities down to pursue them."
"They should be returning very soon."
As the words had barely finished,
three figures descended from the sky.
The figures on either side were precisely the two Three-Rank Crimson Supreme Deities.
The one in the middle, caught and looking utterly defeated, was none other than the Sovereign of the Chaotic Crimson God Realm—Oss!
