Chapter 215: Tier 3
Chapter 215 Tier Three
The altar's magic circle connected into a whole, achieving great success.
Minor issues that arose during the process were all resolved.
Only twice did critical major problems occur.
Thanks to the magic arrays arranged by Melvin and Levi, everyone's efforts were not wasted.
Martin and Comas specially commended Melvin for this.
"This time, thanks to Mage Melvin discovering the problem early and taking measures, the mission was completed smoothly."
"I represent the Mage Tower to award Mage Melvin three hundred contribution points for his major contribution as a reward for this outstanding performance."
Melvin hurriedly said, "This matter is not entirely my merit; more credit belongs to Mage Levi."
"If Mage Levi had not supported me to do it, I would never have thought of doing so."
"Without his help, I could not have finished this before the magic circle was fully inscribed."
Upon hearing this, Martin showed an expression of surprise.
He looked at Levi and asked, "Did you make him do all these things?"
Levi shook his head and said, "No, I only gave him a suggestion. Mage Melvin making these decisions stems entirely from his own correct judgment."
Melvin looked at Levi, wanting to say something, but words failed him.
Comas smiled and said, "In that case, let's issue one hundred contribution points to Levi as a reward as well."
Hearing this, Martin nodded and said, "Agreed."
"Alright, the mission is complete, everyone may return."
"After returning to the Mage Tower, the Magic Steward will distribute the remuneration for this mission to everyone."
Hearing they could return, the crowd erupted in cheers.
"Ah! Wonderful, we can finally go back."
"I really miss the big bed inside the Mage Tower; sleeping on stone slabs here every day makes my waist ache."
"It's good enough if we can sleep; once night falls, mosquitoes are everywhere, biting me so I can't sleep at all, the buzzing drove me mad."
"I want to go back and take a bath, I'm itching to death."
Levi silently scanned the crowd, searching for potential traitors.
Whoever is unhappy now might be a mole.
But it is hard to tell who is truly happy and who is pretending.
Everyone set off on the return journey.
The altar was handed over to the army for guarding again.
The magic array was already inscribed, so the altar did not require too many troops to watch.
Now, the altar has become incredibly solid.
Even a Fourth-Tier mage could not destroy it.
Levi turned back to glance at the massive altar, pondering one thing.
Could a Super Grand Fireball blow this altar apart?
He was thinking about this matter.
Others were considering the same thing as well.
Martin and Comas stood at the edge of the altar.
"Can that blue fireball from last night destroy the altar?" Martin asked.
Comas shook his head and said, "I am not clear either."
"Theoretically, the altar can withstand attacks up to Sixth-Tier spells."
"But that is only theoretical; being able to block Fifth-Tier spells counts as good quality."
"The power of that blue fireball probably will not be weaker than a Fifth-Tier spell."
Martin nodded, turned around, and walked towards the bottom of the altar.
"Forget it, don't think too much; anyway, it won't concern us in the future."
Comas was stunned, followed his footsteps, and asked, "Isn't there still the arrangement for the subsequent God-Sacrifice Ritual needing the Mage Tower's help?"
Martin said, "Wasn't the Mage Tower invaded by Black Cultists last time?"
"Many people were affected; the City Lord's Estate feared accidents and entrusted the Mage Association to help."
"So, we do not need to arrange the God-Sacrifice Ritual anymore."
Comas chuckled, "Hehe, can he be sure there are no problems within the Mage Association?"
Martin shook his head and said, "No one dares to be certain, but at least the Mage Association has not suffered an attack by Black Cultists; on the surface, reliability appears much higher than the Mage Tower."
Comas said, "This might just fall right into the Black Cultists' conspiracy."
"Who knows?" Martin said, shaking his head.
Levi followed the team back to Maple Leaf City.
Thump-thump-thump!
The sound of hooves approached.
Hearing the sound, Levi looked up, and Lena, covered in wind and frost, appeared in his vision.
She returned to Maple Leaf City leading a squad of elite cavalry. Seeing a large number of mages at the city gate, Lena subconsciously slowed her pace.
After confirming they were all allies, she finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"Giddyup."
Lena rode her horse to Levi's side.
Taking off her helmet and placing it on the saddle, she flipped off the horse and smiled, "Levi, long time no see."
Levi looked at her and smiled too, "Indeed it has been a while; where have you been during this time?"
He actually knew.
Lena went to Frostwind Fortress.
Levi had even seen her in a dream.
But Lena did not remember him.
Lena said, "I followed Master to Frostwind Fortress to fight, blocking the armies of the Marqil Kingdom."
"Then why did you come back?" Levi felt somewhat puzzled.
Lena said, "The God-Sacrifice Ritual is starting in a few days."
"Master and the City Lord sent me back with people to be responsible for the security of the God-Sacrifice Ritual."
Li Wei glanced at the elite cavalry behind her.
"Then you must be careful; there are moles and traitors everywhere now."
"When we set up the altar, we uncovered more than a dozen moles planted by the Kingdom of Maciel."
Li Wei warned.
Lena nodded, "Thanks for the reminder."
She looked at Li Wei and asked, "What is your strength level now?"
Li Wei said, "Mid-tier First Rank."
"And you?"
Lena smiled, "Then you'd better speed up."
"After experiencing several battles at Frostwind Fortress, I have already touched the threshold of a Third Rank Knight."
"Master sent me back to let me settle down for a while, so as not to promote too quickly and have an unstable foundation."
Li Wei showed a look of surprise.
"Your leveling is simply too fast!"
Lena explained, "Mainly because the War Knight profession is special."
"The larger the scale of war, the more victories, the faster the War Knight's advancement speed."
"Alright, no more chatting, I still need to report to the City Lord's Mansion."
"See you if there's a chance."
"Take care, goodbye."
Li Wei watched Lena mount her horse and walk towards the City Lord's Mansion.
He slowly walked towards the Mage Tower.
Gu Ze stood by the roadside waiting for him, seeing the smile on his face.
He chuckled, "What? Saw Lena?"
Li Wei was somewhat surprised, "Teacher, how did you know?"
"Seeing you like this, I knew what happened."
"If you really like her, you can go chase her!"
"You are a genius mage after all, with a bright future, no need to fear being unworthy of her."
Gu Ze encouraged Li Wei to bravely pursue Lena.
Li Wei smiled and said, "I'm afraid that won't work, it hasn't been long since then, Lena is about to advance again."
"She is about to become a Third Rank Knight."
Gu Ze showed a look of shock.
"This... this is simply too terrifying."
Li Wei said, "On one hand, it's because her talent is excellent, on the other hand, her profession is special."
"Teacher, I am thinking of another thing."
"What?" Gu Ze asked.
Li Wei said, "Lena advanced so rapidly, how strong is Orne now?"
Gu Ze showed a look of contemplation.
He shook his head and said, "Don't think too much, catch up to Lena first, why consider how strong her master is?"
Li Wei smiled, saying nothing.
Of course it is because he wants to chase her master!
