Chapter 524: Super Ice Burst Tornado
Chapter 524: Super Ice Storm Dragon Twister
After several attempts by Li Wei and Saint Xi, they discovered that the duration of the Minor Time Magic was directly related to the amount of temporal energy present.
Each time Li Wei cast the spell, the residual temporal energy within Saint Xi could sustain the effect for one full day.
This meant that if Li Wei cast the spell on her once daily,
Saint Xi would be able to grow and strengthen at twenty times the normal speed.
The enhancement brought about by this accelerated growth was comprehensive—
unlike absorbing Holy Light Crystals, which only increased sacred power.
A day later, Saint Xi told Li Wei that she had already absorbed all the Holy Light Crystals.
The accelerated flow of time also aided in her absorption and digestion.
To Saint Xi, she had truly lived through twenty days.
Yet in reality, only one day had passed.
That, too, was a blessing—it meant that in a short span, Saint Xi could digest more treasures and gain strength faster.
Unfortunately, items capable of enhancing Saint Xi’s power were extremely rare.
Saint Xi was a legendary Sacred Great Dragon.
Let alone objects that could boost her strength—
even a single drop of her dragon blood, a scale, or a whisker… to the outside world, these were peerless treasures, immensely nourishing.
Calling them Tang Monk's flesh wouldn’t be an exaggeration.
Currently, Li Wei could only allow Saint Xi to grow naturally at twenty times speed.
He had no way to provide her with more external resources.
Saint Xi suggested going out herself to search for “nourishment.”
Li Wei rejected her proposal.
Saint Xi could theoretically consume anything to draw energy and grow.
But such things had minimal impact on her development—
at best, just enough to sustain life.
For such meaningless gains, risking exposure by venturing out—Li Wei would not permit it.
Of course, if Saint Xi simply wanted to go out and play, Li Wei had no objections and wouldn’t stop her.
He merely hoped she wouldn’t take unnecessary risks.
Knowing the immense significance of Minor Time Magic to Saint Xi, Li Wei devoted himself every day to cultivating it,
striving to improve his mastery of the spell.
A few days later, Gu Ze happened to bump into Li Wei, having completely forgotten what had happened days prior.
Curious, he asked, “Where have you been these past few days?”
Hearing the voice from behind, Li Wei turned around and replied, “Nothing much—I’ve just been in seclusion, practicing magic.”
Upon hearing this, Gu Ze felt ashamed.
Li Wei already possessed astonishing talent, yet still worked so hard—how could that not make him feel humbled?
Gu Ze reflected upon himself—he had only just broken through to the second tier and was already complacent.
He resolved to train even harder.
His goal in life now was to become a great mage in his lifetime.
Higher than that, he dared not even dream.
Over a year ago, he was still worrying about how to become a certified mage.
He never dared imagine becoming a high-level expert like a great mage.
Gu Ze rallied his spirit, encouraging himself.
“Oh! Very well, I’m going into seclusion too! This time, I must master second-tier ice spells—or I won’t come out!”
With that, Gu Ze turned and strode toward his room.
Li Wei scratched his chin, watching Gu Ze leave, puzzled.
He couldn’t fathom what had gotten into him.
He shook his head lightly and thought: Forget it, no need to overthink it.
Opening a portal to the magic hut,
Li Wei stepped inside. Saint Xi lay sleeping beneath the small hill where the Dragon Blood Trees grew.
Ever since Li Wei began using Minor Time Magic on her, Saint Xi had been sleeping longer and longer.
She said it helped avoid the disorientation caused by the differing flow of time.
Each time she woke up after a nap, she could see Li Wei again.
And she wouldn’t feel the passage of the long, lost time.
To Saint Xi, sleeping for dozens of days was nothing unusual.
Some dragons slept for decades at a stretch.
When they awoke, everything had changed—seas turned to mulberry fields, dynasties rose and fell.
Sleeping for dozens of days was to Saint Xi like taking a brief nap, a momentary doze.
As Li Wei arrived, Saint Xi sensed his presence, slowly rousing from slumber.
“Ahhh… That felt like quite a long sleep.”
Still drowsy, Saint Xi yawned, resting her chin on her paws, speaking somewhat hazily.
Li Wei smiled and said, “Of course—it’s already accelerated a hundredfold now.”
“You slept for one day, but it was like sleeping for a hundred.”
Whenever Li Wei entered the magic hut, he always waited until the effects of Minor Time Magic wore off before coming in.
Now, both Saint Xi and Li Wei existed in the same temporal dimension.
Their conversation flowed without issue.
They could communicate instantly through their souls, transcending time differences.
However, when it came to physical actions, neither could bridge the vast gap created by the time differential.
Saint Xi nodded and said, “Indeed, it’s already a hundred times faster.”
Li Wei gave a faint smile. “My Minor Time Magic has improved again. This acceleration will last even longer. Want to try it?”
Master-level Minor Time Magic accelerates time twentyfold.
Minor Mastery-level Minor Time Magic accelerates time a hundredfold.
Saint Xi had already experienced it all.
Just last night, after days of arduous cultivation, Li Wei had refined the Minor Time Art to its Grand Perfection stage.
The acceleration rate of time had increased further.
Due to the lack of temporal energy, Li Wei could not directly employ the Minor Time Art.
He also wasn’t entirely sure how high the acceleration rate was at the Grand Perfection stage.
But surely, it far surpassed that of the Lesser Perfection stage.
Saint Xi nodded, her eyes bright with anticipation.
“Of course, I need to grow up quickly.”
Li Wei smiled gently.
When he was young, he too envied adults and wished to grow up fast.
Only after growing did he understand the cost of maturity, and began to miss his childhood.
Yet if given the choice again, he wouldn’t refuse to grow.
He only hoped this journey would stretch longer, giving him enough time to do what he wanted while maturing—
To make up for past regrets buried deep in his heart.
He wondered what Saint Xi would think once she grew older.
Seeing Saint Xi agree, Li Wei didn't rush to cast the Minor Time Art.
Instead, he said, “No need to hurry. After this temporal acceleration, who knows how long we’ll have to sleep?”
“Before then, eat your fill, so you won’t go hungry later.”
Saint Xi looked delighted. With a flash of light, she transformed into a girl.
“Li Wei, Li Wei! Where are we going to eat something delicious this time?”
Li Wei patted Saint Xi’s head, feeling the smoothness of her golden hair and the firmness of her dragon horns.
He chuckled, “This time, it's really good stuff.”
Half an hour later,
Li Wei and Saint Xi stood before a snow-covered mountain peak.
Saint Xi glanced around, searching for whatever "good thing" Li Wei mentioned.
With confusion on her face, she asked, “There’s nothing here. What exactly is this ‘good thing’ you talked about?”
Li Wei gave a slight smile and pointed toward the snowy mountain ahead.
“This is a magical stone-laden mine hidden within the snow-capped peaks—enough for you to feast upon until satisfied.”
“Ahh!”
Saint Xi wore a disappointed expression. “That’s it?”
She thought he meant real food.
Turns out, it was just a pile of rocks.
From a developmental standpoint, this mountain rich in magical ore offered immense benefits to Saint Xi.
It provided abundant magical energy essential for her growth.
However, from Saint Xi’s expectations, a heap of stones clashed drastically with what she desired.
She preferred fragrant roasted meat over biting cold chunks of raw magic stones in this icy wilderness.
Li Wei said, “Stop complaining. Get started quickly. This place took me asking your sister Vivi for help to find.”
Hearing that, Saint Xi pouted slightly, somewhat reluctant.
Whoosh!
A dull whistling sound echoed through the sky above.
Saint Xi looked up to see a burning meteor plummeting down.
Boom! Bang!
The meteor crashed into the mountain, creating a massive crater.
Snow was flung away and melted instantly.
Beneath the snow lay the exposed body of the mountain.
Scattered across the impact site were numerous rocks infused with magical energy.
These were impure magic stones, usually requiring refinement by mages or alchemists to become standard ones.
For Saint Xi, however, purity mattered little.
She could devour earth or stone alike without issue.
Li Wei’s method of mining was straightforward and brutal—one strike from a falling meteor revealed the entire vein.
Now it was Saint Xi’s turn.
Transforming into a giant dragon, she soared toward the meteor crater.
Her jaws opened wide, unleashing tremendous suction that lifted shattered rocks, soil, and melted snow into the air, consuming everything.
Standing nearby, Li Wei felt the pull overhead and raised an eyebrow in surprise.
He hadn’t seen Saint Xi use such a technique before.
Could it be a new ability gained during her recent power surge?
Rather than chewing each piece manually, Saint Xi now devoured magic stones much faster.
Soon, she carved a noticeable gap into the mountain.
Thump-thump-thump!
In the distance came the thunderous galloping of beasts.
“Roaaar!”
Moments later, Li Wei heard their roars.
Looking afar, he spotted a horde of creatures shrouded in demonic aura approaching.
His brows furrowed slightly.
Saint Xi noticed them as well and instinctively prepared to swallow these monsters whole.
Sensing her intent, Li Wei quickly intervened.
“Wait! Don’t eat those creatures—they’re poisonous.”
Saint Xi glanced at him curiously but halted her movement.
“Poisonous? Their poison shouldn’t affect me,” she replied.
Li Wei explained, “Not that kind of poison. These creatures are demon-corrupted beings, tainted by the power of a demon god. If you consume them, they might influence you negatively.”
Upon hearing this, Saint Xi subconsciously recalled the sensation of being eroded by void energy.
A shiver ran down her spine, instantly dissolving any desire to consume these demonic beasts.
That kind of taste was anything but pleasant.
Erring on the side of caution, Levi forbade Sanxi from devouring the creatures.
"Keep eating, I will handle these beasts myself."
Levi cast his spells, systematically slaughtering the corrupted monsters as they emerged.
A sixth-tier spell!
The Super Ice-Blast Tornado!
This was the most powerful area-of-effect sixth-tier spell Gu Sewei had mastered.
Anything more potent would surpass the boundaries of the sixth tier entirely.
The Absolute Zero Ice-Bound Lands spell, for instance, did not belong to the sixth-tier classification; it was a transcendent-tier spell.
The utterly furious Super Ice-Blast Tornado swept through the horde, dragging all the demonic beasts into the sky, freezing them solid into blocks of ice before casting them down to shatter into a myriad of fragments.
