Chapter 2020: Ending 2020! Happy 2021!

Terrible, 2020 has passed in the blink of an eye.

As usual, let me first report this month's results: in December, we continued to hold first place in monthly votes, the eighth championship for All Races, eight consecutive titles secured.

This month, I updated over 830,000 words—exhausting, truly draining.

The total word count has unknowingly approached eight million—yes, almost there.

The book was released on February 6th, and it's been less than eleven months. This year has been incredibly tiring, but of course, the rewards have been immense.

We have around seven or eight hundred patrons, and the average subscription on Qidian alone has exceeded 70,000.

I haven't had time to check QQ Book City, but it seems we've dominated the bestseller list for several months, and the monthly vote first place appears to be a six-peat.

Both platforms have performed excellently, completely surpassing High Martial—something I never imagined when I started writing.

When I began All Races, I thought an average subscription of over 10,000 would be great. The success of one book and the continued popularity of a second is incredibly difficult, given my shallow foundation.

I never expected you all to be so supportive, creating a 2020 that belongs to All Races.

We broke Qidian's record for monthly votes in a single month, broke the record for daily sales, broke the record for annual monthly votes exceeding 2.2 million, won first place for annual character with All Races, and there's also the annual Golden Keyboard award—unsurprisingly, it seems to be All Races as well...

This year's achievements are too many, terrifyingly many, beyond Old Eagle's expectations.

But back to the main topic, let's talk about the future of All Races. The story has now officially entered its later stages. I don't know exactly when it will end, but it feels soon.

Because I feel too exhausted, and the plot has entered a period of fatigue. The high-intensity updates leave me no time to refine the subsequent storyline. Few authors can reach nearly eight million words and still follow their original direction.

I can only do my best to fill in the gaps, patch up holes, and seal off flaws. Lately, I often have to revisit earlier chapters—some details and plot directions, even after eight million words, the author may not remember.

The early stages of every book are the most passionate. When the passion fades in the later stages, it becomes hard to bear.

Of course, I will ensure a complete ending, but whether that ending is satisfying remains uncertain.

As for when the book will conclude, it's hard to say, but it might be around February.

This year has probably been my most exhausting, with too many things happening, especially after having a child. Yet it has also been the most rewarding year. Once again, I must thank everyone for your support.

2021 is about to begin. Just as I said when my previous book, High Martial, ended—it concluded at its peak, dominating sales for eleven months before finishing.

All Races has now held the top spot in monthly votes for eight months, and the sales first place for eight months as well. I think if I'm going to end it, I'll do so at its peak, not wait until all passion is gone.

So starting in January, the Three Gates storyline officially begins, and this book enters its concluding phase.

But don't worry—even the ending will have plenty of words.
