Chapter 888: Discussing the Dao

The four great powers converged—or rather, the four who were outside the door but within the gate had gathered.

Except for the trapped Time Master, all those outside the door were here.

At this moment, the atmosphere was eerily strange.

Su Yu and the others each harbored their own thoughts.

The Lord of the Dead wanted to capture Su Yu and examine the Heaven of Life and Death.

King Wen pondered whether there was now a chance for King Wu to break through.

And Su Yu thought even more: could he gain some advantage?

For a time, the air grew heavy.

King Wu, glancing at Su Yu, then at King Wen, and finally at the sneering Lord of the Dead, spoke after a long pause: "I say, you lot, how long do we stand here without moving?

Have you three seen enough?"

Though the three were on the same plane, King Wu felt their thoughts had drifted far away, leaving him isolated beyond heaven and earth—a truly infuriating sensation!

He, a peak powerhouse of thirty-one paths, on the verge of breaking through to become a Forbidden Land Lord-level existence.

Good heavens!

No one paid him any mind.

Just then, Su Yu flashed a harmless smile, turning toward the Lord of the Dead with a gentle laugh: "Lord Monarch, do you think there might be some room for cooperation between us?"

Hard to fool!

So straight to the point!

We are all enemies of our enemies—though not friends, we could become friends, couldn't we?

The Lord of the Dead sneered: "I have already secured my foothold here. Would those people dare turn against me before the end? I slew a Forbidden Land Lord to carve out the Dead Hell—unlike you lot!"

In other words, I have enough deterrence!

What about you?

You have none now!

Cooperating with you would more likely bring great losses. The Lord of the Dead was not keen on it. Of course, he only wanted to see Su Yu's Heaven of Life and Death; aside from that,

even if these few were not weak, he had no desire to ally with them.

This Su Yu and King Wen didn't look like good sorts!

King Wen chuckled lightly: "That's not quite right! Monarch, if you take us down, the Forbidden Land Lords will eventually turn against you. I suspect that before leaving the Heavenly Gate, they will deal with me first, and soon after, they will strike at you!"

Su Yu chimed in: "That's inevitable! Senior once pierced the Heavenly Gate with heaven and earth—I imagine the Heavenly Gate won't be courteous to you either!"

King Wen continued: "Moreover, Senior's attempt to bring this entire realm out intact is no easy feat. Everyone knows your dual heavens united are unmatched—who would willingly allow that?"

Su Yu nodded: "The Heavenly Gate cannot stop it, and the Human Gate will not stand idly by. Senior's troubles lie ahead!"

King Wen smiled and nodded in agreement, casting an encouraging glance at Su Yu, then added with a laugh: "Besides, Monarch seems to be attempting a life-death conversion. But life and death are the hardest—your Dead Hell lacks vital energy. This has failed, hasn't it?"

Su Yu's eyes lit up: "I happen to know a thing or two about life-death conversion. If Senior doesn't mind, we could exchange some insights!"

King Wen's heart stirred with delight, and he also smiled: "Indeed, if Monarch could complete the life-death conversion, you would surely advance further! We are all Heaven Openers—the Great Dao is easy to seek, but opening a heaven is hard to come by. We can share knowledge!"

Su Yu said cheerfully: "I have observed many heavens—the Human Emperor's Heaven, King Wen's Heaven, the Dead Heaven, and even the Living Beings' Heaven. I've seen more heavens than anyone present, perhaps I can discuss the Dao with you all!"

The two spoke back and forth, leaving King Wu unable to interject.

As for the Lord of the Dead, he had wanted to speak, but when they mentioned opening heavens, he fell silent.

When Su Yu brought up observing many heavens, his eyes flickered. He looked at Su Yu: "Xingyu truly opened a heaven?"

Su Yu smiled and nodded: "Of course!"

"And what is the Living Beings' Heaven?"

"Another Heaven Opener!"

Su Yu grinned: "If Senior is interested, we can talk more later!"

The Lord of the Dead's expression shifted.

Opening a heaven is hard to come by!

Today, three Heaven Openers had gathered here, and Su Yu claimed to have seen the heavens of several others. The path of opening a heaven was as difficult as ascending to the sky!

For a moment, he was tempted.

He had opened his heaven early and was powerful, but that didn't mean he understood everything or had seen it all.

Every Heaven Opener had their own strengths!

At that moment, Su Yu and King Wen exchanged a glance, their eyes revealing a look that said: "He's taken the bait."

The Lord of the Dead lacked nothing, but since they were all Heaven Openers, there was a chance to discuss the Dao. And in such discussions, with enough talk, one could glean a thing or two.

King Wen looked at Su Yu, smiled, and his eyes showed an expression of "good coordination."

This Su Yu was impressive!

He cooperated well!

And Su Yu smiled back—King Wen was indeed on the same wavelength; he had feared they might not be.

Sure enough, someone was still off the wavelength. King Wu looked at King Wen, then at Su Yu, then back at King Wen.

He went back and forth for a while, his expression odd, and couldn't help but say: "Nephew, are you and Old Wen number two...

Father and son?"

It seemed so!

Not only were their features somewhat similar, but also their temperament, tone, and attire.

Truly, the more he looked, the more he felt they were father and son!

Earlier it had been a joke, but now he thought he might have hit the mark!

Su Yu smiled, showing no teeth, his eyes kind.

But King Wu shrank his neck and couldn't help saying: "Don't look at me like that. When Old Wen number two looks at me that way, he usually wants to teach me a lesson. You may smile kindly, but are you planning to deal with me?"

Su Yu was taken aback: "My kind smile doesn't work anymore?"

King Wu was also frustrated!

Damn it!

Your sly, scheming smile is just like Old Wen number two's! Good thing I have experience—otherwise, meeting you for the first time, I'd have been fooled by this kid!

Beside them, King Wen was speechless.

He shot a glance at King Wu: if you can't talk, shut up.

Be careful not to get yourself tricked!

With his banter, the atmosphere lightened a bit. In the distance, the Lord of the Dead looked at them and said flatly: "You cannot stay long in my domain, especially you!"

He pointed at King Wu and said coldly: "Thinking of breaking through here, drawing attention from all sides, and diverting trouble—impossible!"

But discussing the Dao—that can be exchanged a little!

He still had some interest in debating the Dao with the Heaven-Opener.

Everyone’s methods, approaches, and insights into opening the heavens might differ.

Su Yu and King Wen exchanged a glance and understood.

The Lord of the Dead—a scumbag who couldn’t bear to give up, yet unwilling to pay, only wanting to reap benefits without offering any!

Su Yu smiled: “Only discuss the Dao!”

King Wen nodded slightly: “The path of the Great Dao is long, seeking high and low; if I hear the Dao in the morning, I can die content in the evening!”

At this moment, the Lord of the Dead also felt a pang of resonance, and suddenly said: “Discuss the Dao, then—let’s discuss the Dao. You two, speak of nothing else!”

“I only discuss the Dao!”

Meaning he just wanted to swallow the sugar coating, not the cannonball.

Su Yu and King Wen beamed with bright smiles and nodded in unison: “Fine!”

The Lord of the Dead was torn for a moment!

As a hegemon, a peerless overlord, he should not show a conflicted expression.

Yet now, he was indeed conflicted.

Because he knew the two before him were no good men, and he hoped nothing would go wrong!

The Lord of the Dead waved his hand, and around them, countless deathly auras spread.

Deathly energy sealed the four directions.

King Wen smiled, waved his hand, and clouds appeared around them, a cloud forming beneath each person’s feet.

Seeing this, Su Yu also smiled brightly, and a great sun emerged in the sky.

While King Wu was still bewildered, the three sat cross-legged.

Su Yu spoke with a smile: “As the youngest junior, and the latest to open the heavens, I’ll make a fool of myself first. Having cultivated for four or five years, I’ll briefly expound the root of my Great Dao—”

The three all turned to look at Su Yu.

This time, the Lord of the Dead couldn’t hold back and asked: “How old?”

“Just over twenty!”

Su Yu sighed and laughed: “Time urges us to age; in the blink of an eye, I’m heading toward thirty!”

Silence!

At this moment, the Lord of the Dead and King Wen rarely reached a tacit understanding—ignore him, treat his words as flatulence.

King Wen also laughed: “Su Yu, begin!”

“Very well!”

Su Yu felt a bit regretful—what a pity; you could be shocked, but you insist on feigning calm. Look at King Wu, his mouth could hold a duck egg—that’s normal!

But soon, Su Yu’s expression turned serious.

“I opened the heavens twice: the Heaven of Ten Thousand Daos, and the Heaven of the Fleshly Body!”

At these words, the others stopped thinking of anything else and all looked at Su Yu.

“The Heaven of Ten Thousand Daos, the Heaven of Ten Thousand Laws—thanks to Time Master Wen Yu’s Time Book, I am half a disciple of Wen Yu—”

Su Yu reached out and summoned a book: the Record of Civilization.

Of course, it wasn’t the real Record of Civilization at this moment.

“Ten thousand laws united, ten thousand Daos united, the weaving of the Great Dao—this is the core of this heaven!”

The power of the Great Dao manifested in Su Yu’s hands; one by one, the Daos appeared, swiftly interweaving and beginning to merge.

King Wen and the Lord of the Dead quickly stared, unblinking.

At this moment, both watched as visions unfolded before Su Yu—the heavens first opened, ten thousand Daos encircled, interwoven into one.

Though it was only an evolution, it still represented the true scene when Su Yu first opened his heavens.

The Lord of the Dead watched with delight; this was also his first time seeing another’s heaven-opening spectacle.

Ten thousand Daos interwoven!

This was different from his own heaven-opening!

He was watching with pleasure when suddenly his expression changed. He sharply turned to Su Yu, eyes piercing, teeth gritted!

“I want to see the Heaven of Life and Death!”

“Su Yu, you bastard!”

“It infuriates me!”

Indeed, when Su Yu reached the Dao of Life and Death, he swept past it without demonstration. The Lord of the Dead nearly exploded with rage—this was what he most longed to see, yet that bastard Su Yu had blurred it, like a mosaic!

But Su Yu ignored him. Nonsense—if you discuss the Dao, you can’t tell everything at the start; if you give it all away, and he doesn’t debate, won’t I lose out?

As the heavens opened, an incomplete heaven appeared before Su Yu.

It trembled violently!

King Wen glanced at it and nodded: “With ten thousand Daos as the foundation, what serves as the source? Opening the Heaven of Ten Thousand Daos, stabilizing the source is a difficult problem!”

Su Yu nodded: “I knew the foundation of ten thousand Daos was hard to set, so I gathered the fortune of the four directions, the faith of the Yu Emperor’s Palace, the loyalty of my subordinates, the bonds of friends, the sacrifices of fellow cultivators—and forged the Yu Emperor’s Seal! Using faith, conviction, trust, and fortune as the foundation!”

King Wen frowned slightly: “This method is not advisable—not that it’s unworkable, but the heaven becomes subject to people; the seal’s connections are all your responsibilities. This is similar to my elder brother’s heaven—not good!”

Su Yu said calmly: “There’s nothing wrong with it. In a lifetime, one cannot be utterly free and unrestrained! No rules, no limits? No rules, no limits—that comes from having no kin, no friends, no Dao, no feelings. The seven emotions and six desires are the human way, the way of being human. My teacher told me that what makes a person human is precisely having feelings!”

The Lord of the Dead sneered: “Fallacy!”

Su Yu looked at him—this was the essence of discussing the Dao: your Dao, others may not agree, so you must convince them to accept it. Even if they don’t cultivate it, you must tell them your Dao is correct!

Su Yu said calmly: “Senior, your words are the fallacy. Does senior have any kin or friends?”

“None!”

“Does senior have feelings?”

“None!”

“Then senior is nothing but a fart—”

“Insolent!”

Su Yu laughed: “Senior is angry—anger is a feeling. Since you have anger, how can you be without feeling? The Great Dao is without feeling, the Supreme is without feeling. If truly without feeling, why would senior be angry? So I say, what makes a person human is having feelings. Does senior agree?”

The Lord of the Dead raised an eyebrow slightly, and after a long pause, said: “Barely acceptable!”

Feelings?

Perhaps there are!

To feel anger means not being the Supreme.

But then the Lord of the Dead said flatly: “Building your foundation on feelings, fortune, and trust—your heaven is too restricted. Opening three thousand Daos, yet being limited by others—if these people die, your heaven will surely collapse!”

Su Yu smiled: They are all dead, so what meaning remains? Of course, here, I open the physical heaven, taking the flesh as the foundation, unfeeling and devoid of righteousness. Though powerful, it lacks emotion. I still feel that the heaven of the myriad worlds is somewhat better!

He manifested it once more!

Opening the physical heaven!

With seven hundred and twenty apertures, the grand dao spread out, interweaving heaven and earth.

The Lord of the Necropolis and King Wen watched in rapt fascination. Gradually, the expressions in their eyes shifted, and while Su Yu was still weaving heaven and earth, their countenances changed subtly.

After a long while, a gateway manifested.

The expressions of both men shifted entirely!

A gate!

The expression of the Lord of the Necropolis tightened as he looked at Su Yu. After a long pause, he muttered in a low voice: Is it a gate?

King Wen sighed softly: The tremors in heaven and earth earlier, was that you opening your heaven?

Su Yu nodded.

The Lord of the Necropolis's expression shifted fluctuatingly: Then by this reasoning, could the origin of the three gates be the same as yours? All born from opening a heaven of the physical or the spiritual?

Su Yu pondered for a moment, then shook his head: Unclear, but perhaps so!

The few of them shared strange looks, none speaking a word.

Beside King Wen, King Wu paid no heed to any of this. At this moment, he was like a curious child, staring unblinkingly with fixed attention. Though his martial path was brutish, it was also pure!

The dao of opening heaven was something he did not comprehend, yet all grand daos converge on different paths to the same destination!

Though their directions differed, their ultimate goal was aligned.

At this moment, he continuously absorbed these insights, comprehending everything. Especially those instances where the grand daos interwoven and fused, it made him scratch his head in sheer eagerness, desperately wishing to investigate closely, even wanting to experience it firsthand.

Yet at this juncture, Su Yu and the others fell into silence because of the gate.

After a long while, the Lord of the Necropolis spoke: A gate is of no great consequence; with sufficient strength, it can naturally be shattered!

He no longer allowed his attention to linger on the matter!

To say nothing of this potential gate of Su Yu's, even if a true gate arrived, he would possess no fear.

Now, seeing that Su Yu had ceased his demonstration, though he himself had gained a modest harvest, the Lord of the Necropolis smiled. With a wave of his hand, a realm of heaven and earth surged into view.

Life and death—death is the ultimate end of life!

After death, what manner of existence is there?

Mortals fear death, yet sooner or later, they must walk toward the great collapse of death, the great extinction, the terror of grand annihilation. Death is the final destination!

At this very moment, the Lord of the Necropolis expounded upon his own dao of opening heaven for them.

Why one must open a heaven, how to open a heaven, and what death truly entailed.

And at this moment, Su Yu sought to reflect his own comprehensions against it.

His understanding of life and death!

The Lord of the Necropolis said that death is the end and also the beginning. Su Yu agreed, yet he also disagreed.

After the other had spoken for a long time, Su Yu spoke softly: The necromancers of the Necropolis Realm are merely fragments of source essence that Senior guided back from the long river of time. The source essence inherently belongs to them, which represents that their imprints have not actually been thoroughly obliterated!

Su Yu said in a heavy tone: Then if their imprints were completely and utterly obliterated, how could they be resurrected? How could they become necromancers? Therefore, Senior's so-called death is not true death. Within these myriad worlds, a remnant of them still abides!

The Lord of the Necropolis fell silent.

Su Yu spoke again: True death is extinction, complete and utter extinction. Does Senior know what an extinct world looks like?

The Lord of the Necropolis sank into deep thought. After a long while, he shook his head: I have never died. Grand extinction—what manner of slumber is that?

He did not know.

Su Yu smiled: A man who comprehends death yet has never died—how can he truly comprehend the grand dao of death?

The Lord of the Necropolis frowned: You are mistaken. Death is an instinct, an inherent nature. One cannot possibly truly die before comprehending it! Were that the case, one would enter the state of extinction you spoke of. If all is extinct, how does one revive?

The Lord of the Necropolis added: Mine is indeed a pseudo-death. But in this world, if a true grand dao of death exists, it is extinction!

He pointed a finger toward the void: Just like this void, so utterly extinct, never to revive! The true realm of death may very well be right beside us, yet it is extinct!

Whereas my dao of the necropolis is an existence caught between the two!

True death means they are already dead. From whence would revival come? Only dead silence exists, and that is true death.

Su Yu nodded.

Over there, King Wen spoke up: Thus, the Sovereign's dao of death, in its essence, should actually be a dao of attack and searching.

Attack, everyone understood.

Searching—King Wu was entirely bewildered by what he heard, and could not help but look toward King Wen. What on earth was the Second Brother saying?

King Wen ignored him and spoke: The Sovereign's dao, the Sovereign's heaven, both possess the effect of gathering the source essence of heaven and earth! In the myriad worlds, one can gather source essence, assemble it, and cause resurrection once more! Yet here, it cannot be achieved.

King Wen looked toward him, and the Lord of the Necropolis nodded: Within the gate, there is no scattered source essence!

He remained silent for a moment before saying: The people within the gate have no past, no present, and no future. Now, they are merely non-existent individuals hiding within the gate, pulling a deceptive trade with heaven and earth. The past has already vanished! Their source essence cannot be gathered! Therefore, if they wish to become true living beings, they must go to the myriad worlds!

King Wen nodded, and after some thought, asked: What is Senior's ultimate pursuit?

The Lord of the Necropolis spoke: The grand dao! The cycle of life and death, mastering destiny; my fate is determined by me, not by heaven! If I die yet my source essence remains, then I shall live eternally without dying! My ultimate objective is to manufacture humans from source essence!

He calmly stated his final goal and pursuit: I desire to be a Creator! What is the essence of a living being? How does one bestow wisdom upon them, bestow souls upon them, bestow source essence upon them? If I can explore and clearly understand all of this, only then will I truly have walked to the absolute peak!

Life and death are merely external forms; at his core, he was pursuing creation!

And at this moment, Su Yu's eyes also flickered. Creation!

Only at this moment did he understand what the essence of the Lord of the Necropolis's grand dao truly was. It was no mere death; his objective was creation, the making of humans, the manufacturing of living beings. This had already explored the question of the very origin of life!

From whence did the earliest life come?

Both King Wen and Su Yu frowned. If it were so, the Lord of the Necropolis's heaven was far from simple. Within his realm, the essence of the grand dao was actually profoundly esoteric, not the mere death that everyone witnessed.

Yet a difficulty of this magnitude was likely something the Lord of the Necropolis himself had no means or confidence to achieve.

Creating a world, creating living beings.

A world is easily created, but how does one manufacture living beings?

Seeing that they did not speak, the Lord of the Necropolis felt a touch of disappointment. He let out a sigh: The source essence of life—what truly is it? From whence does it arise?

Su Yu thought for a moment and said: This path is too profound; I have not yet touched upon it.

King Wen also shook his head: What we pursue is still the dao. What the Sovereign pursues is already beyond the scope of the dao!

The Lord of the Necropolis smiled: No matter. That is the ultimate goal. At present, I remain more interested in the conversion between life and death!

He looked toward Su Yu.

Su Yu, however, paid him no heed, sitting quietly as he waited for everyone to continue.

After the Lord of the Necropolis came King Wen.

King Wen's heaven and earth was something Su Yu had seen before.

At this moment, King Wen manifested his heaven and earth, speaking: The grand dao lies in the pursuit of knowledge. The pursuit of knowledge is a desire, and also an instinct. If even the desire for knowledge is absent, then the meaning of a living being's existence becomes utterly devoid of purpose!

He evolved heaven and earth, yet it caused Su Yu’s eyes to flash continuously.

He could not help but look toward King Wen!

King Wen had opened the heavens with thousands of grand daos, and Su Yu had assumed he mastered all kinds of daos, but that was not the case!

At this very moment, he finally saw through a bit of the essence.

And the Lord of the Necropolis could not help but laugh, interesting, too interesting!

Yes, King Wen opening the heavens was like a curious baby, his Dao of Seeking Knowledge and Dao of Exploration were like a tiny person, posing as question after question.

What is fire?

Thus, within King Wen’s heaven and earth, the dao of fire was born, all because of the desire for knowledge!

To seek knowledge was to explore.

Even King Wu was seeing this situation for the first time, his face completely blank: So you mean, your daos are all just made up out of thin air?

The daos within King Wen’s heaven and earth had actually all extended from a single dao!

This was far too unexpected!

King Wen wore a calm expression, acting as though he had not heard the man’s words, and said placidly: What is the dao of fire? If you think it is fire, then it is fire—this is a matter of perception, actually, within my heaven and earth, yin and yang are reversed, and the five elements are chaotic. If I say fire is water, who defined fire to be fire in the first place? Those definitions were merely set by predecessors, whereas I am mostly exploring those unknown daos.

Su Yu paid no mind to this, his thoughts already on other matters as he said softly: So, the grand dao can be imagined out of nothing? It is not necessarily something you must personally comprehend?

Not so!

King Wen shook his head: It is not imagined out of nothing, but rather created by relying on some of my perceptions!

What I believe this dao should look like, what attributes it should possess, and why it should possess them—overall, there is logic to be found within it!

And at this moment, the Lord of the Necropolis murmured: In that case, if I feel that there should be a dao of life within my heaven and earth, and I integrate my definition of life into heaven and earth, will a dao of life be born?

At this moment, King Wu felt that he could no longer understand either.

The things these people were talking about, he could actually comprehend every word.

However, comprehending was useless; he could not achieve it.

Sigh... I really am incompatible with these guys!

King Wu had a face full of helplessness, I am at the thirty-first dao layer anyway, almost at thirty-two!

Fortunately, there were still some gains to be had.

He looked back at the three of them, who were still continuing their discussion on the dao, even experimenting with each other’s grand daos. Right now, Su Yu was continuously trying something, synthesizing the grand daos of King Wen and the Lord of the Necropolis, attempting to twist a dao of fire into a dao of water!

King Wen and the Lord of the Necropolis were both watching.

As Su Yu experimented, he said: If this succeeds, it will be terrifying! The power of the grand dao can be converted—water turns to fire, fire turns to water... this is a subversion!

King Wen, however, said: It is not considered a subversion, everything has a foundation. It just depends on whether it is worth it! You must continuously decompose and dismantle, and in the end, consuming immense energy to turn fire into water might not be worthwhile!

When you decompose to the absolute limit, actually, the simplest example is turning stone into gold! A transformation from an earth attribute toward a gold attribute! Not an illusion, but a genuine dismantling and twisting of the essence. When you can turn stone into gold, it means you can master the dao of converting attributes!

The Lord of the Necropolis also took a breath and said: According to your words, when I master this dao, life or death will be held in my hands?

King Wen smiled: The grand dao is already held in one’s own hands, what you call life and death are merely your own thoughts!

Su Yu ignored his profound speech; he only knew that King Wen’s Dao of Seeking actually possessed some capability of high-intensity dismantling, continuously breaking down and converting the grand dao, changing the fundamental particles, and ultimately converting the attributes, thereby giving birth to other grand daos.

As for the rest, Su Yu treated it as nonsense.

Discussing the dao was just like this: absorb the information useful to oneself, and disregard everything else that was useless.

At this moment, Su Yu’s eyes were bright as snow, and he spoke up: This might be my greatest harvest today. If I can dismantle and break it down to the absolute limit, performing a fundamental reversal of attributes, then my grand dao will lean toward balance!

He looked at the Lord of the Necropolis: Has Senior ever experienced the imbalance of heaven and earth?

The Lord of the Necropolis hesitated for a moment, then nodded.

Su Yu smiled: If you can dismantle to the absolute limit, why would Senior need to care about any conversion between life and death?

It is different!

The Lord of the Necropolis shook his head: I understand King Wen’s dao, but his dao lacks comprehension, it is purely the power of dao laws! The grand daos of his heaven and earth are still attached to his comprehension... what you are trying is merely a simple conversion of power, which is different from the comprehension of the grand dao!

Su Yu was merely attempting to convert power, not the comprehension of the grand dao.

The Lord of the Necropolis spoke again: Just like a grand dao with thirty layers of power, the essence of the power is right there! We go to control it, we have enough comprehension, and we can become thirty-layer cultivators! If you let a Dao Merger cultivator inherit it—setting aside the matter of being counter-bitten to death—how much power do you think he can control? One layer of power?

He looked toward Su Yu: Do not be deceived by this fellow, his seeking and searching for knowledge are all just on the surface!

Su Yu understood and nodded: Yes, I comprehend! I can balance the imbalanced power and dao laws within heaven and earth, but I cannot make it so that after power piles up to thirty layers, the cultivator of this grand dao will possess thirty layers of power... that actually does not work, right?

The Lord of the Necropolis nodded.

King Wen also smiled and said: To summarize it in very simple words, if comprehension does not match the power, the power cannot be controlled! Even if you succeed, you can only achieve the balance of the grand dao, not the balance of strength among the experts within heaven and earth!

Su Yu understood and nodded: Actually, it is the same as cultivating the dao. Take the same grand dao, like the human race’s Physical Body Dao; the intensity of the Physical Body Dao is right there, but there are still variations in strength within it, depending on how much of it you can control.

Su Yu smiled: I understand this principle, but if I can succeed in dismantling, it represents one thing—I can prevent power from becoming imbalanced! As for comprehension, it does not depend on me, but on those dao lords who manage the daos!

Just for this alone, his harvest today was exceptionally massive!

He was still experimenting!

As long as he succeeded, Su Yu could strengthen some of the weaker grand daos, at least bringing the power level up so it would not cause a severe imbalance of the grand dao.

As long as comprehension caught up later, very soon, all grand daos would become balanced!

This solved one of Su Yu’s greatest difficulties—a severe imbalance in his subjects!

Seeing him continuously experimenting, tireless.

At this moment, the Lord of the Necropolis looked at King Wen, and King Wen also looked at the Lord of the Necropolis, both nodding slightly and sighing in their hearts. Su Yu’s desire for knowledge was very strong, and his desire to explore was also very strong, but what was even stronger was his perseverance and resilience.

No matter how many failures, he seemed able to endure them, finding joy within them!

Once he grasped a point, he would continuously attack the difficulty!

Until this point was broken through by him!

Success did not come without reason.

It was just that Su Yu possessed perseverance, talent, and a brain—everything one could have, he had them all, so why worry about not succeeding.

Little sister... this half-successor of yours surpasses my imagination!

King Wen looked at Su Yu, falling into deep thought.

And at another point of the triangle, the Lord of the Necropolis also silently watched Su Yu continuously experiment, falling into deep thought.

No one knew how much time had passed when a look of joy suddenly flashed in Su Yu’s eyes. The flames before him suddenly trembled, and the fire turned into a pillar of water!

Su Yu was overjoyed!

And King Wen also carried a brilliant smile: Not bad, you have already mastered some conversion capabilities. What comes after is mostly continuous experimentation to accelerate the conversion speed; in this way, you can perform conversions at the power level... but as for the comprehension level, even I have not researched it yet!

Thank you!

Su Yu cupped his hands, his smile also incredibly brilliant!

King Wen smiled: No need, it is just a mutual exchange. Your method of weaving the grand dao is actually a new comprehension for me as well. The grand daos of my heaven and earth are not considered woven together, they are all reliant on the Dao of Seeking... weaving might also be a means of improvement!

Over there, the Lord of the Necropolis looked at Su Yu once more: Show me your evolution of life and death.

Damn it, show me something crucial!

I'm dying of impatience!

We've been discussing the Dao for ages, and though I've gained a little, I haven't seen the key point!

Su Yu smiled, his grin radiant: Senior wishes to see?

Of course!

Cooperate!

The Lord of the Dead's face darkened: Only discuss the Dao!

Su Yu said regretfully: Then forget it. Senior evolved heaven and earth, and I saw it—nothing interested me. No choice, I think I don't need to discuss the Dao further!

Discussing the Dao is essentially showing someone your catalog of the Great Way.

Everyone sees if there's a topic that piques their interest.

Only then do they delve deeper.

Su Yu tossed out his catalog, and the Lord of the Dead was quite intrigued by the life-death transformation within it, but the catalog he offered seemed to hold no interest for Su Yu—that was truly vexing!

The Lord of the Dead was itching with rage!

He couldn't help but growl in anger: My heaven-opening is no simple matter! You must know, the most crucial core point lies in collecting the origin—do you know how?

Su Yu shook his head!

I don't!

Not to mention, this is actually quite useful. Collecting origin is a special application of the Three-Body Method, but the Lord of the Dead's version seems to have no side effects!

In truth, Su Yu was extremely interested, but unfortunately, I won't trade!

The Lord of the Dead snorted coldly: If you learn it, you can try to collect all your origins across the myriad realms, thereby completely detaching from them and forming your own heaven. Otherwise, both you and King Wen have origins scattered between heaven and earth! This is also a fine way to boost your strength.

Su Yu shrugged: That's a matter for the myriad realms!

The Lord of the Dead ground his teeth: This is my most prized, signature skill! If you learn it, you can resurrect anyone you wish, as long as their origin exists. No one else knows this technique—otherwise, I wouldn't be the only one who could open the Netherworld Domain.

I'm truly offering my signature skill!

And you won't even trade a life-death transformation?

The Lord of the Dead was furious!

Compared to his own skill, he felt Su Yu's life-death transformation was actually worthless—pity he hadn't mastered it himself, but when the need arose, it would be worth a thousand gold!

As for Su Yu, the method of collecting origin was something he could take or leave!

At this moment, the Lord of the Dead was deeply depressed!

I don't want to cooperate!

Seeing this, Su Yu laughed and spoke: Then how about this—

Su Yu considered for a moment: Four Great Emperors, merge into my heaven! Additionally, Senior, help me capture ten cultivators above the 25-Dao level! In this way, I can teach Senior—and as for Senior's origin-collection method, it's too precious, I don't want it!

You!

The Lord of the Dead was half-dead with rage.

Su Yu said calmly: Or does Senior think your origin-collection method is inferior to fourteen cultivators above the 25-Dao level?

Nonsense, of course my origin-collection method is more precious—how could they be the same?

The Lord of the Dead fumed: You just want me to be your thug! Forget the fourteen you mentioned, the remaining ten are all high-ranking figures from forbidden lands—beat the young, and the old come running. Now you say above 25-Dao, but if I actually do it, I'll be dealing with 32-Dao ones!

Do you think I don't know your intentions?

You bastard!

Su Yu said calmly: Only through effort comes reward—at our level, cultivating the Dao, how can there be gain without labor? Senior, if you can't see even this, your standing in my eyes will diminish!

Who cares about standing in your eyes!

The Lord of the Dead was speechless!

But Su Yu sighed: In my heart, across countless ages, the Lord of Time is first, the Lord of the Dead is second—engraved between heaven and earth, unknown, unworthy, and uncomprehended by any but the most extraordinary prodigies! In my exploration of heaven-opening, Senior is one of my guides—these are no empty words!

Left without a retort!

The Lord of the Dead glanced at him, silent for a long while.

Su Yu might not be lying.

This fellow's heaven-opening was probably influenced by me to some extent—but you want to trap me, and I'm supposed to walk into the trap?

At that moment, not far away, King Wen smiled brilliantly.

Where there is desire, there is a trap!
