Chapter 884: Let You See How a True God Fights!

"To think... Could it be?!" peerng through the temple's observatory, a priestess serving Isabella cried out in shock, "To think even Heinz was defeated?!"

"This...?!" Looking at the scene unfolding outside the temple halls, they fell into a long, stunned silence.

One must understand... their opponent was a mere peak Saint, whereas Saint Heinz’s true strength, even if placed among the ordinary deities of the Divine Realm, would be considered outstanding; few would have dared to face the brunt of his last strike.

The "Eternal Hymn"—that was a powerful divine technique belonging to the noblest of the royal divine bloodlines!

And who was this Father of Olympus they spoke of?! They had never heard of such a god appearing from nowhere, yet he dared to claim... "the mightiest power among the gods"?!

And what God of War, Kratos?! Pui! Where did that leave their own Lord of Martial Valour?!

"Could it be... those evil gods beneath the Nine Netherworlds?!" Her gaze turned cold as she slammed a fist against the wall, snorting disdainfully, "Hmph! Those wretched fiends have truly spared no expense this time!"

She could not help but turn toward Isabella beside her: "My Lady, what should we do now? Shall we... take action?!"

"You think far too highly of these mortals." At that moment, another priestess nearby smiled, "The evil gods of the Nine Netherworlds are truly nothing to fear, otherwise they would not be relegated to those depths."

She bowed gracefully to Isabella: "My Lady, Heinz’s defeat stems from his lack of true divine blood. Bestowing power to forcefully elevate him meant he could never unleash his true potential."

"A battle like that is nothing more than two brutes wrestling. Had it been me, I would have merely increased my speed a fraction to evade that attack, dealing with that mortal with absolute ease."

The Valkyrie Isabella gazed down. What was originally meant to be a display of absolute dominance had ended in Heinz's defeat; not only was the army’s resolve shaken, but their morale was crumbling.

Most importantly, the purpose of her descent into the mortal realm had not been achieved in the slightest.

Yet... she naturally had no interest in lowering herself to strike at these mortals. Her sole objective on this journey was those "Demon Gods" who had caused even the Sea of Ten Thousand Immortals to suffer defeat.

"Sufana, Sophia, go together." She stood by the window sill, her gaze piercing through the intricately patterned glass toward the highest heavens. She had seen far too many such battles; it seemed those evil gods had sacrificed a great deal to allow these humans to attain such power in so short a time.

But how could these humans possibly comprehend the nature of true divine power?

Every single thread, every minute detail of the spells and combat techniques unleashed by gods contained the profound mysteries of boundless laws. How could these humans, with their rudimentary and hasty training, ever understand?

Moreover, for beings such as themselves, combat skills were forged and tempered through the crucible of countless years of actual battle.

"You are both warriors I have personally trained; do not disappoint me." Though she felt sending one of them would suffice... she refused to grant these mortals another chance, choosing instead to deploy them both together!

The reason Heinz failed was that his application in actual combat was not yet consummate. There was simply no opponent in this mortal realm capable of forcing Heinz to utilize that move properly; furthermore, the entire mortal realm was foolishly obsessed with merely increasing cultivation and the raw power of spells and combat techniques. Who among them cared for the finer details?!

Lingering in such a place for too long had dulled his martial horizons.

But... the priestesses she raised with her own hands would not commit the same mistake.

For their adversaries were the evil gods of the Nine Netherworlds!

"The true art of combat lies in the absolute mastery over every single grain and thread of power." The priestesses Sufana and Sophia cast aside their long, pristine white robes, revealing the tight-fitting, exquisite light armor and vestments beneath. One held a greatsword as tall as a mortal, while the other gripped a magnificent wand encrusted with a sea-blue gemstone. Their entire bodies radiated a holy and formidable brilliance, unleashing an aura far more powerful than even Saint Heinz!

That was the aura of a true divine tier!

The two accepted gladly: "We shall let this so-called God of War Kratos witness what the true art of battle means!"

...

At this moment, outside the shop in the City of Blue Waves.

All the temple legions surrounding the shop glared at the crowd before them with hollow bravado.

Never in their wildest dreams did they imagine that even Lord Saint Heinz, who possessed divine power, would be defeated by this rabble.

Yet, hope still lingered in their hearts, an unyielding backbone that could never be crushed, because...

A god had descended!

Saint Heinz and Saint Duran were merely demigods.

But above their heads stood true deities!

No matter how formidable these people were, could it be that they were capable of slaying a god?!

Right at that moment, as if in response to their fervent hopes, the celestial temple suddenly shot forth two blinding pillars of divine light!

The brilliance erupted, columns of radiant divine light shaking the heavens and moving the earth, as surging divine power billowed outward!

The divine light enveloped two figures suspended high on either side of the temple, looking like guardians descended from the firmament. Their immense divine power erupted from their backs, transforming into blinding wings of light. Their pure, flawless faces resembled statues of ice and snow, their eyes casting a frozen, merciless gaze down upon the world, like two immaculate angels of war!

Beneath the temple, the expressions of the legions transformed instantly from solemn gravity to euphoric delight. They raised their weapons high, cheering and shouting—look, this is the power of a god!

Fear them! Scream in terror! Bow down and worship before this majestic divine power!

This was their ultimate strength—the power of a true god!

"Ignorant mortals!" At that moment, Sophia, clutching her wand, spoke, "Today, you shall witness what true combat is! What it means to truly control the battlefield!"

With a gentle tap of her wand, without incantation, and with almost no time spent gathering energy, a flash of light erupted from the sea-blue gemstone. An incandescent orb of light, like a massive cannon shell, fired from the tip of her wand!

In the next instant, it detonated amidst the crowd!

With a thunderous roar, the light erupted like a volcano, swallowing nearly the entire street. Mingled with screams and cries of terror, the terrifying force sent countless people flying through the air.

A large number of surrounding buildings collapsed under the shockwave, and countless players outside the shop were knocked to the ground, lying strewn across the ruins, bleeding profusely.

"Save them! Quick, save them!"

"Save them?!" The corner of Sophia’s mouth curled into a disdainful smile. She waved her wand lightly, and her divine power transformed into countless golden needles in the sky! Immediately after, they rained down like a golden waterfall! Such delicate control allowed every single attack to seem possessed of its own spirit!

"Now, let us show you how a true God of Magic fights!"

But at that exact moment, she suddenly saw... Grand Elder Heru, Saint Willie of the Mage Association, the white-robed Mage Adolf, and the shop assistant, Archmage Merlin, all pull out a wand, lightly brandishing them in their hands...

"???" What did these mortals think they were doing?!
