Chapter 813: Perish

Chapter 813: Vanishing

After a brief respite, the drumbeats resumed, and the meat grinder turned once more—but this time it was utterly different.

On the side of Bai Lingmiao, everyone had become wildly exhilarated, eager to suffer fatal wounds and die under the blessing of the Holy Maiden.

Noticing something amiss, a group of chicken-footed beings with downward-facing face veils began to encircle Bai Lingmiao.

The followers of White Lotus were no pushovers. They quickly formed a magical formation around Bai Lingmiao.

At that moment, from another direction, the ground beneath the blood-soaked earth began to rise, creeping slowly toward Bai Lingmiao.

But before it could get close, a streak of red descended from the sky, crashing heavily onto the rising mass. A squelch followed—thick, stinking blood seeped out from the soil.

One foot crushed a skull to pieces. Li Huowang wiped blood from his face and stepped out from the meat grinder. “Finally made it!”

The cultists nearby, seeing their enemies, roared in fury and changed course, surrounding Li Huowang.

“Hah!!” With both hands spread wide, Li Huowang thrust outward, sending all within a dozen zhang around him crashing to the ground, turning them into a mire of flesh and blood.

As the chaos cleared, three great witches stood before Li Huowang, while blood continued dripping from the air.

Li Huowang looked at them and smiled—a broad, delighted grin. “You’re finished. You’re done!”

In the next instant, Li Sui, dressed in the garb of Xuanpin, appeared behind them. Then, father and daughter simultaneously unleashed their power, charging forward against the three great witches.

Just as they collided, a low rumble echoed through the air. “Boom boom boom!!”

“Boom boom boom!!” With a sudden twist of the throttle, Li Huowang soared high from a pile of debris on a motorcycle, crashing heavily onto the unfinished asphalt road of Orange Isle.

Dark red blood seeped slowly through the cracks in his helmet, dripping down his bulletproof vest onto the ground.

When he reached the depths of Orange Isle, he heard gunfire, engine sounds—and soon saw his enemies, the projections of foreign Commanders of Fate! They were fighting!

Seeing all this, Li Huowang drew his military knife with one hand and slashed it hard against the motorcycle’s head. “Now, it’s time to close the door and chase the dogs!”

A hum filled the air. The motorcycle beneath Li Huowang surged forward, climbing steadily toward its top speed of 320.

Someone rushed out to block him, but with a sharp twist of the throttle, Li Huowang crashed into him, car and man alike, tearing apart flesh and bone. The man was split in two.

Li Huowang charged through the rain of blood in midair like a bowling ball, slamming into the enemy ranks. A storm of gore and flesh erupted.

The ones who had been hunting them hadn’t expected that Li Huowang, who should have been locked away in a psychiatric ward, would suddenly appear and join the fray. Chaos reigned.

Li Huowang cut through bullets and gunfire, charging straight to the RV of Wu Qi, leaning against the cabin. “I’m here to help!”

“No nonsense! It’s critical! These guys are going crazy!” Chen Hongyu replied with a grim expression.

“Where is Sanqing?” Li Huowang wiped the blood off his helmet and asked the others.

“Who?”

“Qingwang?”

“He said he went looking for you! But now that you’re back, he’s nowhere to be found!” Zhao Lei said with a dark look.

Li Huowang gazed at the enemy encirclement and those hiding behind cars, and his resolve hardened instantly.

Without hesitation, he leapt onto Wu Qi’s RV, spun the steering wheel, and charged straight into the encirclement, glass shattered by bullets, but his foot pressed hard on the gas pedal.

Under constant fire, the wheels exploded, smoke and flames rose from the front.

Just as the RV slammed into their black vehicle, there was a tremendous explosion. Fire shot up into the sky.

While everyone ducked from the inferno, Li Huowang, on fire, burst out with twin blades raised, arms crossed, cleanly slicing off an enemy’s head.

As he charged toward the next target, a tall figure blocked his path.

With a swift kick, he struck Li Huowang in the stomach, sending him crashing into the charred frame.

“What the hell are you?!” Li Huowang gritted through the pain, roaring as he lunged forward with his blade.

The figure aimed a machine gun at his chest, spraying bullets through the cracked helmet. More blood poured out.

Even as Li Huowang staggered to the ground, he flung his dagger with all his strength—it pierced straight into the enemy’s chest.

“Come on!! Come again!!” As Li Huowang struggled to his feet, looking at the fallen corpse, the others gradually retreated, their bodies vanishing into the shadows of the unfinished buildings.

“Hahaha!! We won! Hahaha, we won! You’ll never take our world!” Li Huowang laughed loudly, head thrown back.

“Yes yes, you won, you won,” said two burly orderlies, smoking, walking past the charred remains of the black car, past the walls riddled with bullet holes, carrying a wheeled stretcher to Li Huowang’s side.

“It’s New Year’s already, stop running around and making us worry,” grumbled one of them, lifting Li Huowang onto the stretcher and securing him tightly with ropes, carrying him toward the distant ambulance.

Looking at everything fading away, Li Huowang paused for a moment, then a faint smile touched his lips.

Indeed, as the Commanders of Fate vanished from that side, the history they had lived also disappeared—as it had with Doumu before.

This meant he had truly won. They had lost.

“What did you win?” Yi Donglai asked with a helpless expression. “If you scared me by pulling out your eye, then yeah, you won. You really won.”

“Li Huowang, that was your eye! Did you even think about what that means? From now on, you only have one eye left. What do you plan to do?”

But Li Huowang seemed in high spirits, chuckling softly. “Heh heh heh… you wouldn’t understand.”

Then his gaze shifted to the sand table before him. Hundreds of figures were stuck in it, their voices driving him mad.

“Shut up!” Li Huowang waved dismissively, and the models on the sand table fell to the ground.

The battlefield, once chaotic, suddenly froze. All the cultists halted in place, their eyes filled with confusion.

In the next breath, a gentle breeze swept across. Whether the highest-ranking witches or the lowest new believers, all collapsed backward in unison.

All the followers of the Cult of the Dao, including those occupying Anxi in the rear, fell to the ground, silent as death.

The Great Li Kingdom, vanished.
