Chapter 474: Pure Strength, Mana Nuclear Bomb
"Boom!"
With a forceful stomp, the ground beneath him shattered and erupted in layers. The recoil instantly propelled Wang Yu to a speed invisible to the naked eye, detonating a sonic boom in the air as he charged straight toward the tower ahead. The enemies blocking his path might as well not have existed.
Having identified Wang Yu as a grave threat, the Utopia organization had long since begun summoning more powerful members from the void. At this very moment, several legends and dozens of Great Knights stood in his way.
Truth be told, Wang Yu had no idea where Utopia sourced these members—a motley crew of orcs, humans, and elves. They were no longer merely the orcs of the Bloodfang Empire; there were clearly others from across the continent who had joined the organization, or perhaps the organization had been hidden in the shadows of history all along, its members gathered from the depths of time.
"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!"
Following Wang Yu in his high-speed charge were countless magitech blades released by Avia from the Eden Seed space. Guided by the power of the Chariot, these swords slashed and darted toward every enemy except the knights directly confronting Wang Yu.
The blades moved with impossible agility. Facing rays and missiles meant to intercept them, they utilized the speed granted by the Chariot’s power and the perfect fractal flight trajectories calculated by the girl, dodging every obstacle with miraculous aerial maneuvers to strike at the casters lurking nearby.
"Boom!"
Even the most precise calculations cannot always find a path through an overwhelming barrage. A dozen of the ten thousand blades were struck by the Utopia casters' interception spells, exploding into bursts of fireworks in the sky.
"Shoo!"
But in the next instant, from the smoldering embers of the explosions emerged glowing blades. Having shed their magitech shells, the inner magic runes transformed into blades of pure radiance, moving faster and with more cunning, erratic trajectories than before, relentlessly hacking at their targets.
The relationship between the magitech sword and the radiant blade was akin to that of a scabbard and a sword; destroying the scabbard did not prevent the blade within from delivering a sudden, lethal strike.
"Clang!"
The lightning-fast radiant blades struck the Utopia casters first, only to be blocked by shields of condensed magic. The impact triggered intense energy fluctuations, sending ripples across the surface of the magical barriers.
These casters were masters of their craft, wielding secret arts that were the very reason the Allied Legions found them so difficult to combat. Simple spells were ineffective against such advanced practitioners, and the radiant blades now faced the same dilemma.
"Crash!"
"Sizzle!"
Yet, a moment later, the magitech swords flying from behind collided directly with the radiant blades. Despite being made of non-magical material, they produced a physical impact that drove the radiant blades into the magical shields like nails. The radiant blades shattered, but the resulting shrapnel tore the Utopia casters to shreds.
Had the Utopia members not attempted to intercept these blades with void and magical power? That was impossible. As the distance closed, evasion became nearly impossible, and half the magitech swords were destroyed by magic, only to transform into radiant blades and continue the assault.
However, the void energy Utopia used for defense proved useless against these blades driven by the Chariot’s power. Like passing through water, they met only slight resistance before the dense swarm of blades broke through the defensive array, entering the lethal range.
The failure of the void energy was entirely beyond Utopia’s expectations. A momentary lapse in judgment led to dire consequences as the radiant blades and magitech swords surged into the zone of slaughter.
Magical light flickered over the magitech swords, their internal runes triggering astonishing enchantments: scorching heat, bitter cold, lightning, high-frequency vibration, extreme weight... Combined with the sky-filling radiant blades, they began a systematic dismantling of shields and lives.
The magitech swords, which were poor at breaking shields, softened the defenses, while the radiant blades struck with unimaginable speed. With thousands of blades, each caster was targeted by several at once. Blood sprayed, bodies disintegrated, and a vast number of Utopia casters perished on the spot.
This state of affairs could be viewed as Wang Yu and Avia unleashing ten thousand sixth-tier magic scrolls at once, each under individual command. This "money-is-no-object" style of attack became absurd once it crossed a certain threshold.
While the tide of swords driven by the Chariot’s power slaughtered the casters, the source of that power, Wang Yu himself, was demonstrating a violence so simple it was absolute.
The lead Utopia legendary knight unleashed his "Inner Potential," locking his focus and intent onto the target rushing toward him. He held his breath, a sensation of stagnation radiating from a point within him to his entire body. This same effect instantly acted upon Wang Yu, who was locked in his sights.
"Boom!"
Yet, Wang Yu, who should have been frozen in place, showed no signs of being affected. A heavy punch, containing the force of a mountain-toppling tsunami, slammed mercilessly into the knight's face. The legendary knight’s sturdy skull fractured under the terrifying blow, and a wave of intense dizziness and pain flooded his consciousness.
The Inner Potential had failed. It had neither frozen the knight himself nor affected his target in the slightest. The opponent had simply ignored the high-priority technique and attacked, while the knight’s own power, speed, and constitution were being absolutely crushed.
"Bang!"
Wang Yu’s punch followed a downward trajectory, driving the legend into the earth with astonishing speed. As he took his next step, he cruelly lashed out with a kick aimed at the man’s neck.
The immense force, concentrated on a tiny point of contact, shattered the legend’s neck entirely. His head twisted and tore away from his body, while the torso flew off at high speed, slamming into other enemies ahead. It collided with the Inner Potential and aura-blades of some unknown legendary knight, exploding into a shower of gore with a deafening roar.
Forward, always forward. A punch—just a simple punch. His fist, wrapped in the Chariot’s power, collided with the invisible attacks of several legendary knights, shattering their lethal strikes in the briefest of pauses.
"Shock" manifested in the consciousness of the legendary knights, which had been altered and merged into a "collective." It was the unanimous thought of these beings: What on earth is this thing, and how is he doing this?
Forcibly shattering Inner Potential was even more terrifying than a legendary knight destroying sorcery with their bare hands. While Inner Potential could be ignored if the disparity in physical strength was great enough, Wang Yu was not merely ignoring it; he was treating it like a spell or a common object and smashing it to pieces.
The shock the Allied Legions felt when facing Utopia’s void technology was exactly what Utopia was feeling now, facing this man.
"Bang."
Catching the punch of the leading legendary knight, Wang Yu twisted his wrist with lightning speed, reached out, and grabbed the man’s throat before he could react. With a sickening crunch of flesh and bone, he squeezed the life out of him.
His other hand formed a blade, coated in the power of the "Golden Body," and flicked through the air several times, neutralizing the incoming long-range Inner Potential attacks and aura-blades.
He stepped, sank his shoulders, and exerted force. His body surged forward like a battering ram. His Chariot-covered physique collided with the layered defensive Inner Potential ahead, shattering it with a soundless roar. The impact struck the next legendary knight in the chest, breaking bones and snapping tendons, leaving him unable to fight in an instant.
Wang Yu had plunged into the ranks of the legendary knights. Relying on his ability to ignore all Inner Potential and smash everything with pure physical strength, he was like a legend charging into a formation of non-legends, destroying everything in his path.
In truth, this power had existed since early on—the power of "Reach." The Chariot’s power could reach out and touch things; it could touch the void that did not exist for others, and in the material world, it could touch matter, magic, and more.
Ultimately, at Wang Yu’s current stage, a knight’s Inner Potential was no different from void energy or magic. Once covered in the Chariot’s power, it could be treated as a solid object and dismantled. The only difference was that before, his body hadn't been strong enough, and he would have been the one shattered; now, it was the Inner Potential and its masters that broke.
Rampaging forward, Wang Yu’s destination was that tower. Every enemy that dared to block his path met the same fate: annihilation.
Frontal collisions, sonic-boom punches, kicks that unleashed the force of wind blades, and violent throws after grabbing any limb he could find.
He embodied the very concept of a "Warrior," tearing through Utopia’s lines with pure speed and power. The legendary knights might leave behind a corpse, but the Great Knights were reduced to nothing but fragments.
His eyes flickered. His senses picked up a high-speed entity rushing toward him under the cover of the "fragile" Great Knights. It was an augmentation-type Inner Potential, designed to boost physical stats—the most effective counter to Wang Yu.
Wang Yu could not ignore this type of Inner Potential. Pure power and speed were his true adversaries. However...
The moment the opponent reached him at a speed rivaling his own, Wang Yu pulled his arm back. The Chariot’s power erupted in full, activating the "Chariot: Commander’s Throne." Everything in the surrounding area, save for the Utopia knights, was locked down. Time seemed to stand still.
"Bang!"
A fully charged uppercut shattered the legendary knight whose Inner Potential had been focused on self-enhancement. The effect of the Commander’s Throne ended, and there was no longer anything left to stop this terrifying force from reaching Utopia’s tower.
"Hum!"
A roar echoed from the void. Before Wang Yu, a massive void rift tore open. Another tower’s spire, accompanied by smaller rifts, descended rapidly into the material world. Countless enemies poured out, a tsunami of flesh and steel flooding toward the "isolated" Wang Yu.
Utopia seemed to have realized the threat. Even if it meant breaking the arrangement of their "web," they had to stop him. The other tower detached from its position, descended near Wang Yu, and linked with his target, releasing power many times greater than a single tower to crush him.
"Quite a number, aren't there? Avia, I’m counting on you."
Scanning the dense swarm of enemies in the sky, Wang Yu paused for a moment, speaking to the girl within the void.
"Coming!"
The girl responded, half her body emerging from the void as she handed Wang Yu a glowing sphere.
Magic Genesis—this was the ability the Sky Mechanical City had told Wang Yu was impossible to achieve after receiving Zig’s theories, because one could not create a magic-free environment. But the fact that the Sky Mechanical City couldn't do it didn't mean Wang Yu couldn't. At this stage, the Chariot’s power was indeed enough to create a magic-free zone.
So, if he handed that power to Avia, what surprise would she deliver to him—and to their enemies?
He tossed the glowing sphere into the overwhelming crowd with a casual flick of his wrist. It was a nuclear bomb... of magic.
