Chapter 319: The Purple Class Trial, Cleared!

Chapter 319: The Trial of the Purple Class, Cleared!

Orpheus and Ateskin halted their steps, observing the surrounding murals.

Searching for mechanisms in all directions.

Even attempting to attack the murals along the corridor.

But they discovered the corridor was magic-suppressed; no spells could be cast.

Both were utterly baffled by the Purple Class trial.

Not knowing what to do?

"Could it be that we must walk to the end?"

Ateskin said.

He walked briskly forward, then broke into a run.

Orpheus glanced at the unhurried Li Wei, pondered for a moment, and did not rush to follow Ateskin.

He felt the trial was not that simple.

If walking to the end cleared the trial, who would fail?

Entering the Purple Class would not be so difficult.

Orpheus believed the answer was hidden within the surrounding murals.

He attempted to use mental power to seek clues possibly concealed in the murals.

Most likely, under the exploration of mental power, the murals seemed merely ordinary, possessing no magical effects.

Li Wei thought while walking.

He too wondered what the Purple Class trial actually was?

Li Wei recalled Stiel.

Stiel was a student of the Purple Class; how did he differ from an ordinary mage?

Bloodline?

This should not be the key.

People possessing special bloodlines were not uncommon.

The Element Tower gathered the most elite mages from the world; many possessed some special bloodlines.

But those able to enter the Purple Class were few.

Strength?

Compared to ordinary mages, Stiel's strength was indeed formidable.

He could easily unleash power surpassing a major realm.

Li Wei felt this was not the key either.

He suddenly recalled Lilia.

Speaking of which, wasn't Lilia brought back to the Element Tower by Haros?

Why had he never seen Lilia inside the Element Tower?

A vague guess lurked in Li Wei's heart.

That was, Lilia was likely in the Purple Class.

Besides that, only one possibility remained: Lilia and Haros were still on the way to the Element Tower.

Li Wei felt this possibility was very small.

Haros could not possibly carry Lilia walking to the Element Tower.

From the Northern Realm to Storm City?

Tens of thousands of kilometers, fearing it would take a lifetime to walk.

Li Wei leaned more towards Lilia being in the Purple Class.

That was why he could not see her.

Why could Lilia enter the Purple Class?

What characteristics did she share with Stiel?

Powerful bloodline, powerful strength... these were not the focus.

Li Wei's eyes gradually brightened; the key was potential.

Lilia and Stiel both possessed extremely high potential.

If they did not die in the future, becoming Sixth-Rank Mages was almost a certainty.

Whether they became Legendary Mages depended on luck.

But what relation did potential have with these historical murals?

Li Wei could not understand.

He changed his angle, re-examining the historical murals.

Viewing the evolution of history from a human perspective.

No longer viewing events from the perspective of the things themselves.

He suddenly discovered something.

In the corners of all historical murals, or within the background, there were several blurred human shadows.

These shadows existed persistently in every historical mural.

"The masterminds behind the scenes in history?"

Li Wei's first reaction.

Soon, he changed his mind.

"This is inheritance, humanity's inheritance, history's inheritance."

"The historical murals tell of humanity's inheritance."

Li Wei pursued the shadows representing inheritance within the historical murals, moving forward all the way.

Orpheus blinked, finding Li Wei's figure vanished.

He hurriedly ran forward with quick steps.

After running for a while, he still did not find Li Wei.

Instead, he saw Ateskin, who had run out long ago. Orpheus hurriedly asked: "Did you see Li Wei?"

Ateskin showed a look of confusion.

"Wasn't Li Wei with you? What happened to him?"

Orpheus was startled in his heart, showing a look of confusion.

"Li Wei had vanished."

"What?"

Atheskin wore an expression of surprise.

They exchanged glances, realizing something.

Atheskin guessed, "Could he have found the exit?"

Orphis looked at Atheskin, confusion in his eyes.

Atheskin explained, "There is no end ahead; this corridor has no exit. No matter how long you walk, you cannot get out."

"There must be mechanisms, magic arrays, or something of the sort here. Li Wei likely found them," Atheskin concluded.

Orphis complained, "If Li Wei found it, why didn't he tell us?"

Atheskin felt somewhat helpless too.

Of course, he also wanted Li Wei to share the answer to the trial.

The three were not rivals.

It was never stated that only one person could enter the Purple Class.

As long as they passed the trial, all three could join the Purple Class.

Orphis and Atheskin regretted slightly, wishing they had built a better rapport with Li Wei earlier.

Then they would have known the answer.

Helplessly, the two continued searching for possible mechanisms and magic arrays within the corridor.

They did not notice.

On the mural beside them, a shadowy figure marched forward unyieldingly.

Li Wei followed the figure on the mural representing the inheritor of humanity.

He found himself becoming that shadow, historical events unfolding before him once more, experiencing various epic legends from a first-person perspective.

He had forgotten his own identity.

The only thought in his mind was to continue moving forward.

Carrying humanity's heritage, he pressed on.

He knew not how much time had passed; historical memories grew hazy.

A door appeared before Li Wei.

Without hesitation, he stepped through.

Li Wei appeared upon a patch of lawn.

He looked back; there was no door behind him.

He had materialized here out of thin air.

Rustle, rustle, rustle.

A figure appeared before Li Wei.

"Welcome to the Realm of Singing Skies, welcome to the Purple Class."

Li Wei turned to look, showing surprise.

He actually knew the person.

"Eris?" Li Wei exclaimed.

Eris smiled, "Yes, it's me. Rarely do you remember me."

"How are you here? Is this the Purple Class?" Li Wei asked.

Eris said, "Of course, because I am also a student of the Purple Class."

"But aren't you already a Grand Mage?" Li Wei queried.

Grand Mages could graduate from the Element Tower.

They were no longer students.

Eris smiled, "The standard for graduating the Purple Class isn't becoming a Grand Mage."

"Let me introduce the situation first.

Currently, there are twenty-three in the Purple Class; including you, that makes twenty-four.

The oldest has been in the Purple Class for over twenty years; I've been here eight years, so I'm considered a senior student.

Before you, the youngest Purple Class student arrived three months ago.

Doing the math, it seems you came to the Element Tower in the same batch; perhaps you know each other."

Eris praised, "In nearly a century, you are the fifth to pass the trial and become a Purple Class student. The previous four are now Legendary Mages; their futures are limitless."

Li Wei was somewhat surprised, "So few?"

"I felt the trial wasn't that difficult?"

Eris glanced at him, "That is called 'easy for those who know, hard for those who don't'."

"Many things, knowing and doing are two different matters. Even if you told the other two the answer, they couldn't do it."
