Chapter 348: Poison Dragon Sac
Chapter 348: The Poisonous Dragon Pouch
After a day of rest, everyone's strength had basically fully recovered.
Bella was eager to return for revenge, so on the second day she dragged everyone to prepare to leave the Peach Blossom Realm.
Led by Christiman, the group arrived at the end of the Peach Blossom Realm.
"This is the way out; pass through this stone tunnel, and on the other side lies the third layer of the Poisonous Dragon Cave, which is extremely dangerous."
Christiman reminded the group.
Li Wei glanced curiously at the stone tunnel, scanning his surroundings.
He asked with great curiosity: "What exactly is going on here?"
"Is the Peach Blossom Realm a secret realm? Isn't the Poisonous Dragon Cave underground? Why is there such a place?"
His doubts were numerous.
The existence of the Peach Blossom Realm itself was unreasonable.
How could there be such a vast and peaceful place underground?
Alice spoke: "The Peach Blossom Realm is a secret realm, yet it differs somewhat from ordinary ones."
"You can view it as a secret realm merged with the main world, so it lacks the usual teleportation exit found in standard secret realms."
"The entrance you see here is the secret realm exit of the Peach Blossom Realm."
"It is merely an exit; one may leave but cannot enter."
Li Wei wore an expression of confusion.
"What do you mean?"
Alice smiled and said, "You will know once you cross over."
Christiman nodded and said, "Indeed, this is also the reason we have never left the Peach Blossom Realm."
"If we exit from here, we cannot return."
Li Wei felt somewhat strange and asked, "Didn't you say you brought things in from outside?"
Christiman explained, "That is because the windflower's ability is special; wherever there is wind, it can flow.
The Peach Blossom Realm has other entrances and exits, but up until now, the only exit we can traverse is this place."
Christiman pointed towards the sky.
"Did you not descend from above?"
Upon hearing this.
Li Wei understood.
Indeed, descending from above was also a one-way passage.
Constrained by the anti-flight domain, Li Wei could fly upwards at most one hundred meters.
To try flying out from above was sheer delusion.
Li Wei nodded and said, "I understand, let's go."
Bella led the way into the cave.
Li Wei followed behind her and walked inside.
After walking for a while, he suddenly felt the surrounding environment change.
That sensation was very distinct.
It was like stepping instantly from a sunlit place into a damp and dark one.
"We are now in the third layer of the Poisonous Dragon Cave."
Bella said while walking ahead.
Li Wei subconsciously turned back to look.
He discovered there was absolutely no tunnel behind him, only a stone wall.
There was no way back.
He saw Lilith appear out of thin air beside the stone wall.
But for Lilith, she was simply walking normally within the cave, feeling nothing unusual.
Soon, everyone arrived at the third layer of the Poisonous Dragon Cave.
Bella looked at the group and said confidently: "With our strength, leaving the third layer of the Poisonous Dragon Cave should be effortless!"
Half an hour later.
Li Wei and others escaped miserably from a cavern, with countless tiny insect-like poisonous mists surging behind them.
Bella complained: "Christiman, how did you lead us? Why did we plunge straight into the poisonous mist?"
Christiman helplessly replied: "I could only sense that no magical beasts were active here; who knew it was a cavern filled with toxic fog."
Even sixth-order experts dared not lightly touch these poisonous mists.
The purple amulet purchased by Evelyn in the Poisonous Dragon City proved of little use.
The group could only retreat.
"Flower Barrier."
Rustle rustle rustle. Li Wei turned back to look; Alice cast her ability, and countless flowers bloomed within the cavern, blocking the entrance completely to stop the advancing poisonous mist.
Alice said: "The poisonous mist is still eroding the flower barrier; hurry and move quickly while we can."
Everyone hurriedly quickened their pace.
An hour later, the group was lost within the Poisonous Dragon Cave.
Bella glanced at Christiman and stopped complaining about him.
Christiman was now more anxious than she was.
He tried every method to perceive the movement of the wind and airflow around them, seeking an exit from the third layer of the Poisonous Dragon Cave.
Evelyn crushed a leaf of the Poisonous Dragon Saliva Grass and applied it to Bella's injured back.
"Hiss! It hurts a bit."
Bella sucked in a breath of cold air.
Not just a little pain; she felt her bones were about to be dissolved by the toxin.
A piercing agony.
The danger level of the magical beasts and toxins in the third layer of the Poisonous Dragon Cave far exceeded Bella's imagination.
Her wound on the back came from a small spider.
Merely passing by, bitten by the small spider, she almost died directly from the poison.
Terrified, Li Wei quickly placed invisible armor on everyone.
Li Wei scanned the vicinity, assessing the terrain.
Evelyn had already distributed a purple talisman to each member.
Even with all six amulets fully activated, the poisonous insects would only retreat marginally.
Indeed, it risked provoking the beasts, inciting them to assault the group proactively.
The toxic fauna on the third floor of the Poison Dragon Cave were truly preposterous.
As expected of insects nourished by the Wind Poison Dragon's venom, their toxicity was excessively potent.
Kurisitiman's knitted brows shifted minutely.
Observing the change in his countenance, Alice inquired, "Have you located the exit?"
Kurisitiman spoke with some hesitation, "I cannot confirm if it is an exit, yet the wind flows that way; there should be a fissure leading outward."
"We shall investigate," Alice decreed decisively.
Lingering here would yield no exit, so attempting the alternative was preferable.
Under Kurisitiman's guidance, the party proceeded toward the moving air.
Following several turns, Li Wei and the others beheld a streak of emerald light ahead.
"What is happening?"
Li Wei sensed something peculiar.
The group advanced with utmost care.
They found the cave's terminus opened into a massive cavern.
Vastly exceeding any chamber Li Wei had encountered within the Poison Dragon Cave prior.
While the group was still observing the glowing cavern.
Lillith cautioned Li Wei, "Something resides yonder."
Li Wei followed her gesture, though the object remained indistinct.
Lillith's nocturnal vision far surpassed that of Li Wei and the others.
She perceived realms invisible to Li Wei.
Li Wei launched a fireball.
Whoosh!
The projectile soared upward, bursting at its apex to flood the cavern with flame.
Gazing upon the interior scene, all present displayed looks of astonishment.
The cavern walls were scarred by blade and axe, each mark extending dozens of meters like a colossal wound.
Countless deep craters, corroded into existence, dotted the ground and surrounding cliffs.
Confronted by the sight, Li Wei recognized the location instantly.
"This is the true nest of the Poison Dragon. Eight hundred years ago, the Empire's Dragon-Slayers slew the Wind Poison Dragon here; this is the battlefield they abandoned."
Everyone felt deeply shaken.
It was hard to imagine the intensity of the battle that had occurred.
Li Wei gazed toward where Lillith had pointed, seeing a dark green sphere floating in midair.
An instinctive thought surfaced in his mind: the Poison Dragon Sac.
