Chapter 480: Time Secret Realm

Chapter 480: The Secret Realm of Time

Li Wei and Gusewei hid inside the ice hut, waiting for the transition between the midnight sun and polar night.

Since they had no idea how much time had already passed,

Li Wei and Gusewei could only wait idly, afraid of missing the critical moment.

After waiting in darkness for what seemed like an eternity, Li Wei couldn't help but feel some anxiety.

A terrifying thought surfaced in his mind—what if they had already missed the transition between the midnight sun and polar night?

Completely enveloped in darkness, having lost all sense of time,

if they truly had missed the moment, they might never know.

Li Wei shook his head and muttered to himself, "It shouldn't be. If the polar night had truly turned into the midnight sun, at least the surrounding environment should have changed somewhat."

That was all he could do to comfort himself.

Although he knew this reasoning was flawed, since they were tens of thousands of meters underground,

even if the outside world's night had vanished into endless daylight,

the light would never penetrate tens of thousands of meters of abyss to illuminate the bottom of the Frozen Abyss.

This place remained a pitch-black, lightless dark zone.

Li Wei had no choice but to forcibly suppress his inner restlessness, diverting his attention elsewhere as he waited for time to silently pass.

Gusewei felt equally uneasy.

She feared that during this period, the Ice Emperor might have been awakened by that group of people.

If she and Li Wei failed to successfully prevent the Ice Emperor's awakening, the Ice City of Forred might disappear forever.

Gusewei was afraid of missing the opportunity to stop the Ice Emperor's resurrection.

She occasionally glanced at Li Wei, each time with words on the tip of her tongue that she couldn't quite bring herself to say.

On one hand, she wanted to suggest that Li Wei follow up to see where that group of people had gone.

On the other hand, she wondered if she should go alone? That way, she wouldn't delay Li Wei's affairs.

But facing the boundless darkness and cold alone, she felt deep loneliness and fear from the bottom of her heart.

Without Li Wei, she might have already gone mad staying in such a dark environment for so long.

Both Li Wei and Gusewei's spirits were already teetering on the edge of madness.

After an unknown amount of time, Li Wei suddenly spoke, "Hasn't there been any arctic air current blowing for a long time?"

Upon hearing this, Gusewei paused for a moment, then realized and nodded, saying, "It seems so."

Li Wei opened his eyes and looked up outside, saying, "Let's go out. I feel the time is approaching."

Upon hearing this, Gusewei opened the ice hut.

The two walked out of the ice hut and discovered that the cold wind that usually blew outside had completely disappeared.

Even when there was no arctic air current, the bottom of the Frozen Abyss would still have cold air currents flowing.

At this moment, however, they felt the cold air currents had completely vanished.

Li Wei looked up, craning his neck to gaze at the sky.

Perhaps it was the sky.

All he saw were endless darkness.

Suddenly, he felt the darkness seemed to lighten slightly.

Li Wei widened his eyes and saw a thin white line appear above his head.

Then, the white line spread like a curtain being drawn, quickly filling his field of vision.

"What is this?"

"Ah! Look quickly!"

Gusewei exclaimed in surprise, pointing ahead at the strange changes and shouting.

Li Wei lowered his head, enduring the stinging sensation in his eyes caused by the light.

He saw a dreamlike, twisted rainbow light floating before his eyes.

Taking a step back, he discovered a beam of light shooting from the top of the Frozen Abyss straight down to its bottom.

This beam of light illuminated the location of the Secret Realm of Time.

Gusewei shouted, "The light beam is disappearing, hurry and think of something!"

Li Wei had already noticed—the light beam shooting down from above was gradually weakening and vanishing.

He had only the instant of transition between the midnight sun and polar night.

Li Wei had been prepared all along.

He immediately released Shengxi, who had been hiding in his beast ring for several days.

Coming out of the magic cottage would have been too slow.

Afraid of missing the opportunity, Li Wei had stored Shengxi in his beast ring in advance.

As soon as Shengxi emerged, he activated the reverse scale of the Time Dragon on his chest at the first moment. Gusewei, seeing what suddenly appeared beside Li Wei, stood stunned in place.

For a moment, she couldn't react.

"Is this... a dragon?"

The reverse scale of the Time Dragon on Shengxi's chest burst forth with seven-colored light.

The seven-colored light merged with the dreamlike, twisted light in the Frozen Abyss.

Shengxi let out a great roar, "Aowu!"

Light erupted, instantly enveloping the figures of Li Wei and Gusewei.

The light beam shooting in from outside the Frozen Abyss disappeared.

The light symbolizing the Secret Realm of Time also vanished.

Along with them disappeared the figures of Li Wei, Shengxi, and Gusewei.

Huh!

Li Wei exhaled deeply, feeling that his surroundings were no longer cold.

He knew he had successfully entered the Secret Realm of Time.

"Ah! This is the Secret Realm of Time?"

Gusewei looked around with joy on her face, which gradually turned to disappointment.

There was nothing here.

It was like an empty room.

The walls and ceiling emitted strange seven-colored light, while the floor beneath their feet radiated gentle white light.

Leo swiftly surveyed his surroundings, spotting a massive dragon egg, as tall as a man, not far away.

He hurried over and discovered that the slumbering figure within was none other than Saint Shea.

A strange force enveloped her body.

Leo could see the dragon scales on Saint Shea's surface undergoing astonishing transformations.

He glanced at the peculiar energy encasing her.

"Could this be the treasure of the Time Dragon? The power of time itself?"

Before Saint Shea fully absorbed the temporal energy and completed her growth,

Leo was unable to awaken her from her slumber.

He and Gussie could do nothing but wait within this empty space for Saint Shea to wake.

Leo could only hope this period wouldn't last too long.

Gussie gazed at Saint Shea and asked, "Is this a dragon?"

Leo nodded. "Mm."

She looked at Leo, unsure what to say.

Leo had actually brought a living dragon with him.

She felt deeply shaken.

Gussie scanned their surroundings, compelled to consider a crucial question.

She asked, "What do we do now? Are we supposed to stay in here forever?"

Leo spread his hands. "From what I can tell, it seems we have no choice."

Gussie's expression changed dramatically as she grabbed Leo's collar and shouted, "Are you joking! How long do you expect me to stay here? I need to go back and stop those people from resurrecting the Ice Emperor!"

Leo pried her fingers loose. "You don't need to worry. This is the Temporal Realm. Several years passing here would only mean a few days outside."

Gussie couldn't accept Leo's explanation.

"Even so, there's no way I can stay here for years. Damn it, let me out!"

Leo shook his head. "I'm sorry, but I'm powerless to help."

"The only way out is to wait for her to awaken."

Having said that, Leo sat down and began cultivating on his own.

Gussie remained standing, staring intently at Saint Shea wrapped in temporal energy.

After a long while, she approached Saint Shea with her frost staff, attempting to rouse the sleeping girl.

Leo cast a glance her way, unconcerned that she might interfere with Saint Shea's development.

Temporal energy was among the most powerful forces in existence.

Even gods might not be able to break through it.
