Chapter 562: . You're lucky, you're the first to see this state of mine

Book 562. You are fortunate, for you are the very first to ever witness this state of mine

"Plop... Plop..."

It sounded as though someone were dragging a weary body through the mire. Lin

Everyone turned toward the sound, only to see a vast field of alien beast carcasses in the distance, out of which a man stepped slowly through the slurry of flesh and blood.

He was emaciated to the bone.

His once-perfect and robust physique now resembled a piece of porcelain webbed with cracks.

Particularly at the center of his chest, there gaped a shocking, gruesome hole.

This cavernous wound pierced entirely through his body, even revealing the vista that lay behind him.

Every eye on the battlefield twitched violently, and within a portion of them, a powerful wave of sorrow welled up uncontrollably.

That was the deep, shared empathy born from the bloodline of the Starry Skies Human Race.

Lu Sheng.

He was not yet dead.

Yet looking at him, there was little difference between this and the brink of death.

"Blade of the Ruined Ultimate, why hasn't Lord Blade of the Ruined Ultimate arrived yet?!"

One of the two guides, a middle-aged man, had bloodshot eyes as he clenched his hands so tightly his teeth nearly shattered from the strain.

What surfaced on his face was a profound sense of helplessness and agonizing grief.

Grief for Lu Sheng.

With the body of an eleventh-grade, to face the strike of a thirteenth-grade general-class alien beast head-on and survive.

The talent and brilliance Lu Sheng had displayed were enough to shake the entire Foreign Sky Battlefield.

For a genius of such terrifying natural endowment, if given time, it was simply impossible to imagine what heights he might eventually reach in his growth.

Yet now he was forced into a death match with a thirteenth-grade general-class alien beast, about to be strangled to death right here.

This would be a monumental loss for the entire Heavenly Serpent Galaxy.

Many surviving human martial artists on the field realized this as well, and as they gazed at Lu Sheng, their eyes all betrayed a thick, heavy hue of despair and mourning.

However, this grief

Was soon shattered by Lu Sheng’s own hand.

"Is this the strength of the thirteenth grade?"

Lu Sheng looked down at the wound upon his chest, extending a hand to gently stroke that shocking mark.

The single strike from the blood-colored giant arm of the thirteenth-grade general-class alien beast had utterly shattered his Golden Glazed Body, and his Stellar Body had been pierced through as well.

The edges of the wound still retained a great deal of the dreadful power belonging to the thirteenth-grade domain, suppressing the self-recovery of his immortal cells.

"It really is quite potent..."

Lu Sheng let out a soft sigh, then lifted his head, calmly fixing his gaze upon the thirteenth-grade general alien beast in the distance, and spoke: "You are fortunate, for you are the very first to ever witness this state of mine... person?"

Having spoken, Lu Sheng gently tapped a single finger against the center of his brow.

In an instant, a speck of exceptionally brilliant red blossomed from Lu Sheng’s forehead.

Then a second speck, a third speck...

Countless specks of brilliant red light radiated from every part of Lu Sheng’s physique.

In the turn of a moment, it enveloped him entirely.

An indescribable, terrifying aura emanated from Lu Sheng's body.

This aura was extremely unstable, and it was frighteningly heavy, collapsing the void in an instant and completely transforming the void where Lu Sheng stood into a pure blackness.

Within this blackness, red light blossomed and collapsed back in on itself, as if countless stars were being conceived, born, growing, and perishing within it...

Everyone froze in place, staring at the mutation occurring upon Lu Sheng’s body.

They saw several beams of red light shoot out, piercing through the bodies of dozens of alien beasts in an instant.

Any alien beast struck by the red light, whether eleventh-grade or twelfth-grade, had its body incinerated and melted away within the span of just a few breaths.

Some beams also struck the blood-colored giant arm on the chest of the thirteenth-grade general alien beast.

An arm as thick as a starry-sky dreadnought was instantly scorched with a great hole.

This horrifying sight caused everyone’s pupils to contract, and then, suddenly snapping out of it, they retreated and fled frantically.

Before long.

The region where the red light blossomed and collapsed expanded to occupy a small half of the battlefield's void, unimaginably massive.

No one knew how many alien beasts were swallowed up; once they fell inside, they could not even utter a scream before vanishing without a trace.

A terrifying aura that felt like the end of the world rapidly spread outward.

Now, not only did the onlookers change color, but even the countless eyeballs of the thirteenth-grade alien beast general began to blink rapidly.

Then, after a thousandth of a blink.

The monster let out a piercing shriek from its mouth, controlling its giant arm to claw fiercely toward the center where the red light collapsed.

That terrifying sonic wave which tore everything apart from before appeared once more, and along with the bombardment of the giant arm, it caused many of the red lights to twist and warp.

The blood-colored giant arm stabbed into the region of the collapsing red light, and the countless limbs growing upon its surface were instantly scorched and melted away, turning into a bald, naked flesh-pillar.

But this arm was simply too thick and robust; even though the terrifying red light swept up like a tide, it still could not halt its unwavering thrust into the cluster of light.

Finally, the blood-colored giant arm plunged completely inside the red light cluster.

As if it had pinched a certain core.

A trace of malice flashed across the hideous face of the thirteenth-grade general alien beast, and it was about to crush it fiercely.

And right at this moment...

“Boom!”

A colossal crimson sphere erupted violently outward in all directions.

An overwhelming, blinding red light flooded every onlooker’s vision.

Even with eyes shut tight, they wept uncontrollably, seared by the sheer intensity—

as though witnessing countless suns detonating simultaneously before their very gaze.

Only after their sight slowly returned did they finally grasp the scene before them—and froze, stunned.

There stood a crimson giant, nearly as immense as the blood-red arm of the Thirteen-Level Beast Commander, now looming at the center of the battlefield.

His entire form was shrouded in dense, tangible scarlet radiance, obscuring his features entirely.

All one could discern was his vast frame spreading wide, arms outstretched, firmly locking the beast’s monstrous limb in place.

“Roaaar—!”

A deep, cosmos-shaking growl tore from the giant’s throat—and with sudden, titanic force, he *wrenched* the blood-red arm upward, spinning it wildly in midair, flinging the Thirteen-Level Beast Commander screaming through the void like a ragdoll hurled into oblivion.

Then, with a single earth-shattering step, he shattered swathes of empty space beneath his foot and lunged forward, pursuing the beast’s retreating silhouette without pause.

He raised his fists—again and again—hammering them down upon the beast with brutal, unrelenting fury.

Each strike unleashed torrents of searing crimson light and waves of apocalyptic heat so intense they vaporized flesh and bone alike.

The lesser beasts caught within the battlefield scattered like ants scorched by wildfire—

a single sweep of that crimson aura, and only ash remained.

“Sssss—!”

“Boom—! Boom—!”

The giant and the Thirteen-Level Beast Commander were now locked in furious, cataclysmic combat.

Every clash between them sent ripples through the fabric of space itself, trembling as if the heavens might tear apart at any moment.

The spectators stood transfixed, minds reeling, as though they had unwittingly trespassed into some forbidden stellar sanctum—

bearing witness to an ancient, divine war waged between celestial titans.

No words could capture the depth of awe now gripping their souls.

One truth alone burned clear in their hearts:

This battle belonged wholly to the realm of Thirteen-Level beings.

Yet—who could have imagined—one of the combatants was merely Eleven-Level?!

The fight raged on, flames and crimson infernos devouring the battlefield whole.

The crimson giant grew ever more formidable; the volatile, chaotic energy that had first birthed him now settled, steadied, refined.

Gradually, the blinding radiance dimmed—not fading, but *withdrawing inward*, condensing, solidifying.

And from within that coalescing light emerged a figure both hauntingly familiar… and utterly alien.

Horn.

Fishing net.
