Chapter 266: The Theoretical Forbidden Spell

Chapter 266: The Forbidden Spell Within Theory

After Li Wei learned the Fire Dragon Spell within the library.

He spent a bit more time and credits, studying various primal spells.

Comprehending how the creators of spells once brought them into being from nothing.

This aided him greatly in deducing spells.

Li Wei realized the essence of spells was the utilization of elements.

At least, the essence of elemental spells was all like this.

Modern mages instead could not see this point clearly, placing all attention on spell models.

Believing the spell model was the key to unleashing a spell's power.

Having seen the concepts of the primal spell creators, Li Wei understood the essence of spell power was elements.

After studying magical principles, Li Wei knew magical elements were divided into high-energy and low-energy elements.

Low-energy elements referred to magical elements in a calm state.

In this condition, magical elements would not cause any effect on the outside world.

Just like the heavenly and earthly magical elements filling the entire world.

Or perhaps the magical elements within magic stones and magic crystals.

All belonged to low-energy magical elements.

Mages through spellcasting, transformed low-energy magical elements into high-energy magical elements.

According to the entropy increase theorem, high-energy elements existed in an unbalanced state, eventually releasing energy, decaying into low-energy elements to restore balance.

The process of high-energy elements releasing energy was the process of a spell taking effect.

This was the explanation for elemental spells in the Element Tower textbooks.

As for mental spells, spatial spells, summoning spells, alchemical spells, those were another matter entirely.

Other top mage towers also had their own explanations for their respective systems.

Li Wei had not yet studied them currently.

But at least, the Element Tower's theoretical explanation applied to elemental spells.

The definition of low-energy elements was magical elements in a stable state.

The stable state of magical elements possessed uniqueness, meaning the lowest energy level.

High-energy elements did not possess uniqueness.

In short, the higher the energy possessed by the element itself, the stronger the spell power.

The spell model was like a lever.

A mage only needed to use very little strength, to leverage the lever and pry magical elements, causing them to transform into high-energy elements on their own.

Then release them.

The levers in ancient mages' hands were very short, even relying directly on their own strength, to turn low-energy elements into high-energy elements.

They could approach closer to the essence of spells.

With the improvement of spell models, the lever was constantly lengthened.

Mages cast spells more and more easily.

Spell power also became more and more powerful.

Distance from the essence also became further and further.

According to the law of conservation of energy, this theory seemed to have problems.

Low-energy elements transforming into high-energy elements must absorb energy, where did the energy come from?

Seeking the energy source during the transformation process from low-energy to high-energy elements, had always been one of the Element Tower's ultimate subjects.

If one could realize the mysteries within, and control this process.

Then one could rely on the smallest strength, to pry open the greatest energy.

Li Wei had an unverified conjecture in his heart.

Was this not the same as nuclear fission and nuclear fusion?

Energy came from the substance itself.

However, here substance became elements.

But who could say elements were not a kind of substance?

After all, the people of this world always believed the world was composed of four basic elements.

Since elements could compose the world, then elements must inevitably be a kind of substance.

Then, one could explain the energy source for the transition from low-energy to high-energy elements.

Coming from the fission and fusion of elements.

This was much smoother than the nuclear fission and fusion of atoms.

So much so that it could be utilized by mages.

"The process of primal mages using spells utilized the fission and fusion of elements."

"Naturally existing controllable fission and fusion, this world is truly miraculous, what kind of existence are elements exactly?"

"Is the world truly composed of four basic elements?" Li Wei pondered in his heart.

He stayed within the library for a day.

Read many books, yet could not find the answer.

There were also some discoveries.

The world being composed of four elements did not come from mages.

But came from a book called the Book of Genesis.

Rumor had it, the Book of Genesis recorded the process of creation.

The first sentence of the Book of Genesis, "The world is composed of earth, water, wind, and fire four elements."

Some said the Book of Genesis was manufactured by gods.

Some said the Book of Genesis was naturally born during creation.

Some said obtaining the Book of Genesis would allow one to become the Creator God, towering above all gods, controlling the entire world.

But never had anyone seen the Book of Genesis.

The content within the Book of Genesis, was also all passed down by word of mouth.

In some ancient ruins, occasionally one could glimpse fragments of the Book of Genesis content.

There was no way to verify truth or falsehood.

There were also rumors that there existed another book in the world, born alongside the Book of Creation, called the Book of Destruction.

The Book of Destruction recorded the process of the world's demise.

No one had ever seen it.

Throughout history, every so often, someone would proclaim the imminent end of days in the name of the Book of Destruction.

The most famous among them was—Ragnarok.

"The Book of Creation, the Book of Destruction, do these two books truly exist in this world?"

Levi expressed his skepticism.

It sounded quite magical.

Although this was a magical world, neither the Book of Creation nor the Book of Destruction sounded very credible.

Levi walked out of the library, heading toward the manor, pondering the gains of the day.

"The power of spells originates from the fission and fusion of elements."

"This process is far too gentle, nothing like the violence of nuclear fission or fusion."

"The main reason is the lack of a chain reaction."

"Each element is an independent entity, which is why fission and fusion can be so precise."

"If one could induce a chain reaction during elemental fission, then spells of unparalleled power could be created."

Levi thought of forbidden spells.

Any description of forbidden spells spoke of skies collapsing and earth splitting, mountains crumbling and tsunamis rising, heavens changing color and destruction wreaked upon the world.

They could easily destroy entire cities, flatten peaks, and evaporate lakes and rivers.

Powerful forbidden spells could even defy heaven and slay gods.

The descriptions looked very much like scenes of a nuclear explosion.

"Lord Levi."

The magic butler Kuro saw Levi and greeted him.

Levi nodded. "Kuro, good evening."

"What are we eating tonight?" Levi asked.

In his heart were grand ambitions, feeling as if he had grasped the essence and truth of forbidden spells.

Turning back to reality, he still had to concern himself with what to eat for dinner.

What to eat tonight was far more important to Levi than grasping the essence of forbidden spells.

No matter how much he thought about it now, it was impossible to achieve.

It was all merely fantasy.

What to eat genuinely affected his mood.

Kuro replied, "Diana is preparing Sanghuo steak, the main course tonight should be steak, besides that Diana has also prepared the rice you like."

Hearing this, Levi revealed a smile. "Then many thanks."

"Rice is hard to find, isn't it?" Levi asked.

Kuro nodded, saying, "Indeed it is hard, the common grains on the market are all wheat, Diana went to many places before finding a place selling rice."

"Pass along my thanks to Diana for me," Levi said.
