Chapter 782: Chop Dragon Slay Immortal

Chapter 782: Chop Dragon, Destroy Immortal

Li Huowang had already returned from Zhengde Temple. In his simple bedroom, he gazed at his own reflection in front of him.

In that reflection, seven eyes were etched upon his forehead—eyes that now seemed to possess consciousness of their own, staring back at Li Huowang with unwavering intensity.

These were seven secrets, and Li Huowang understood well the value they held.

Just one of them had once sufficed to reveal the position of the leader of the Zouwang Sect. Now, with seven such secrets at his disposal, if he so wished, he could use them to uncover any secret in all the world.

Yet what concerned him most at this moment was how Xuan Pin had helped the other Siming within Bai Yujing.

Though the issue had been resolved, Li Huowang still harbored unease about the origin of these things.

As he recalled everything that had transpired, his expression grew grave.

Such a precious item had been casually offered to him by some unknown entity, and all Li Huowang knew about it was its texture—like strands of hair.

The memories within his mind had vanished, leaving only the written record on the table before him as the sole clue to what had happened.

Looking at his own handwriting, Li Huowang felt strangely unfamiliar with it.

"The Siming who governs all secrets...?" Based on his personal experience, the power of this Siming lay not only in effortlessly revealing secrets but also in concealing them.

Anything that was hidden could become a secret—including a period of time, an object, or even an entirely different timeline!

Unlike Ji Zai, and even more unlike Ba Hui, this nameless Siming was clearly both strange and immensely powerful.

At least one thing brought Li Huowang a slight sense of relief: judging by the actions of this being, it was at least not aligned with the Law Sect.

"But if such a powerful Siming is your ally, yet you still cannot defeat the Law Sect—how formidable must they be?" Li Huowang fell silent.

"Never mind. I'll do what I can and leave the rest to fate," he shook his head forcefully, staring intently at his reflection. "Back then... how did Xuan Pin help the Siming?"

As soon as Li Huowang finished speaking, he saw the seven eyes on his forehead slowly close in the water's reflection.

In the next instant, the world before Li Huowang blurred, images flashing past like lightning.

When he clutched his head in agony, memories of what Xuan Pin had done began to surface in his mind—seemingly fragments of a past memory.

"Lord of the Astronomical Bureau, everything is ready," came the voice of the imperial guards. Xuan Pin lowered his pen, turned slowly, and walked out of the room, stepping into a massive ritual platform surrounded by torches.

At the center of the circular altar stood others who had died alongside Xuan Pin.

In the very heart of the platform stood a colossal bronze tree, dozens of zhang tall.

As Xuan Pin placed his six hands in a spell beneath the tree, he suddenly paused.

"What is it?" asked Huangfu Tiangang, the national master holding the Star Sword, who had been preparing to perform the ritual.

Xuan Pin shook his head. “Someone’s here.”

“Someone?” Huangfu Tiangang’s face darkened. He pulled out a Dao bell and shook it violently, sending echoes rippling around the entire altar.

When the sound faded, he looked back at Xuan Pin with confusion. “Where? I’ve set up a great formation outside—I can’t even let a bug through. There shouldn’t be anyone.”

Xuan Pin said nothing further. He seemed to notice Li Huowang’s gaze, peering through the black hole in his red robe toward where Li Huowang looked.

“I don’t know who you are, nor why you seek the Dragon-Chopping, Immortal-Slaying Formation,” he said.

“But since you wish to learn it, it must mean that the world has reached a critical juncture. I will teach you—watch carefully.”

“First, step into the formation, invoke the celestial power, transcend the three realms. This power stems from the Yu Step, the return step—once mastered, no action is impossible. The steps need not be complex, but the heart must align with the Nine Stars, the feet must command the Nine Spirits, the body must embody the Nine Qi, and only then can one truly connect.”

With that, Xuan Pin began demonstrating to Li Huowang.

“Men take the Yu Step, left foot first; women take the Yu Step, right hand first. Left hand two touches right hand three, forming the Great One Decision. Left hand three touches right hand one, forming the Decision for Longevity and Fate. Left hand one touches right hand two, forming the Heavenly Gate Decision.”

As Xuan Pin explained, his three pairs of hands interlocked, performing various incantations, extending from his robe.

“Enter the Yang Star Track, follow my chant: ꃨꄅꄟꄻꅖꅮꆂꊂꊖꊸꋚ, ꋶꌒꌳꍈꍣꍽꎖꄬꅇꅞꎽꏗꏳꐏꐪꑁꑜ.”

The incantation spoken by Xuan Pin was obscure and difficult to understand, yet Li Huowang grasped its meaning immediately.

“The Twenty-Eight Constellations conceal the body within. Ziwei leads the golden beams and jade pillars.”

As Xuan Pin continued, the so-called Dragon-Chopping, Immortal-Slaying Formation gradually embedded itself into Li Huowang’s mind.

Then, beside him, the national master raised his Star Sword and pointed it toward the sky.

Two dragon veins flew from afar, landing directly on the massive bronze tree, coiling around it. One belonged to Gao Zhijian.

As the dragon veins touched the tree, it instantly glowed brighter, shifting toward gold.

The dark clouds above dispersed, revealing stars twinkling in the sky. As Xuan Pin and those around him chanted and performed rituals, accompanied by the roar of dragons, the dragon veins connected to the earth veins, and the mountains, rivers, and landscapes of the entire land changed instantly. The stars scattered, revealing a vast black void.

Li Huowang finally understood why this secret required seven secrets to obtain. Within that pitch-black expanse, he saw a massive jade gate—the Mahu Gate.

A boundless, multi-eyed eye stared down from beyond the Mahu Gate.

While Xuan Pin stepped into the formation and recited the incantations, the barefoot national master raised his Star Sword and tossed three Golden Dragon Sunlight Talismans.

“All beings with flesh and blood, hurry and tread the Heavenly Gate! Yin demons’ aura invades Nanyang. Nine dragons burst forth with radiant light, restoring yang energy. Heaven clears instantly, the great world shines. Evil spirits vanish to distant lands. Om, Ouroboros God, heavenly light pierces the yin. Urgent decree, obey!”

As the talismans ignited on the sword, roars of dragons echoed. Golden dragon forms quickly climbed up the bronze tree, spreading across everyone present.

Each person’s body transformed—dragon scales, horns, and other mutations appeared. Their clothes tore apart, revealing grotesque patches of dragon skin. Dragon qi surged through them, while the dragon veins on the bronze tree weakened, falling away, and the tree was now covered with countless withered, dry corpses.
