Chapter 448: Remedial Measures

Chapter 448: Remedial Measures

Bella heard Levi's words and calmed down slightly.

She stared at Levi and asked, "What do you mean?"

Levi turned his head to look at Abak, his eyes somewhat cold, and said, "Of course, you should ask him."

Bella looked at Abak, her gaze sharpening.

"Abak."

Her tone was extremely hostile.

Abak looked at Levi and Bella, feeling very surprised inside, silently cursing his luck.

He hadn't expected that Levi and Bella actually knew each other.

Abak hurriedly explained, "Thunder General, please calm down. I truly didn't know these flying magical beasts belonged to the city lord."

"I saw these flying magical beasts frequently destroying the Hundred Flower Garden, so I thought of asking Grand Mage Levi for help to resolve this issue."

"Actually, we just needed to drive away these flying magical beasts. Who knew Grand Mage Levi would act so quickly and kill all the flying magical beasts in one strike? This really isn't my fault."

Abak made excuses, shifting all the blame onto Levi.

After hearing this, Levi chuckled coldly twice.

"Great, so all the responsibility falls on me."

Besides being angry, Levi also realized he had been used by Abak.

Bella glared at Abak and cursed, "Bullshit! You don't know that these flower-collecting bees are raised by the city lord?"

"Don't explain anymore. You're just Kira's lackey. Pay with your life!"

Saying this, Bella was about to attack Abak.

Abak panicked and retreated backward, hastily shouting, "Thunder General, you must stay calm!"

"Don't forget the agreement between the two city lords."

Upon hearing this, Bella calmed down slightly.

"Damn it! Even if I don't kill you, you won't have it easy!"

Having said that, she summoned a bolt of lightning that struck Abak.

Crack! Sizzle!

The magical shield around Abak was instantly shattered, and all his defensive magical items were completely destroyed.

His limbs trembled uncontrollably, black smoke billowed from his body, his hair exploded outward, turning into an afro.

Bang!

Abak was electrocuted to the ground, gasping in terror.

Bella looked at Levi, puzzled, and asked, "Why did you help him?"

Levi spread his hands helplessly and said, "How could I know he was Kira's man? He said he wanted me to help solve some troublesome flying magical beasts that were bothering Flying Flower City, and reimburse my travel expenses back to the Elemental Tower, so I agreed to help."

"The result turned out like this, and I'm also helpless."

Levi shook his head and sighed.

Annoyed.

He thought it was just about dealing with some bothersome flying magical beasts.

He never expected to be schemed against.

Levi glanced at Abak, wishing he could set him on fire and burn him to ashes right away.

But there were too many people around, making it difficult for him to act.

He still had to consider his reputation somewhat.

He could settle accounts with him secretly later.

If he openly killed the vice president of the Mage Association, he probably wouldn't be able to use their teleportation arrays anymore.

Bella looked at the severely electrocuted Abak, and after venting her anger, began worrying about what to do next.

These flower-collecting bees came to the Hundred Flower Garden daily to collect flowers, all in preparation for the Hundred Flower Goddess sacrificial ceremony.

Now, hundreds of carefully cultivated flower-collecting bees had been burned to death by Levi in one go.

Whether the Hundred Flower Goddess sacrificial ceremony could proceed as scheduled was now a major problem.

Levi felt somewhat embarrassed and asked, "What are these flower-collecting bees used for?"

"Is there any remedial measure?"

Hearing this, Bella began thinking about remedial measures. She said, "The purpose of flower-collecting bees is to extract Hundred Flower Essence. Hundred Flower Essence is essential material for the Hundred Flower Goddess sacrificial ceremony."

"The flower-collecting bees raised by the city lord have basically all been killed by you. It's impossible to find so many flower-collecting bees to help in a short time. Relying solely on the remaining dozens of flower-collecting bees, there's no way to collect enough Hundred Flower Essence before the Hundred Flower Goddess sacrificial ceremony."

Levi keenly sensed the key point.

He said, "So the key is needing sufficient Hundred Flower Essence. The flower-collecting bees aren't essential."

Bella said, "Without flower-collecting bees, there's no way to collect Hundred Flower Essence."

Levi smiled and said, "It seems you don't understand mages very well. For mages, there's nothing impossible."

Extracting essence - he had done this countless times.

Levi said, "Let me first see the Hundred Flower Essence you've collected, and then observe how the flower-collecting bees produce the Hundred Flower Essence."

Hearing this, Bella looked at Levi. "You have a solution?"

"Alright, then come with me."

Bella led Levi flying toward their current base.

Soon, Levi saw a circular tent situated on a hillside.

He asked somewhat unexpectedly, "You live here?"

Bella said, "Kira currently controls Flying Flower City. To avoid conflict with him as much as possible, we had to move outside."

Levi recalled what Abak had mentioned and asked, "What agreement between the two city lords did Abak mention earlier?"

Bella responded with an "Oh," saying, "Oh, you mean that - it's just a verbal ceasefire agreement."

"Alice and Kira both don't want to destroy Flying Flower City, so they agreed unanimously to prohibit combatants above the fourth tier from fighting near Flying Flower City."

Levi nodded, indicating he understood.

The two descended toward the largest white circular tent.

The Flying Flower Sword Maidens patrolling around the tent saw the two descending, but only relaxed their vigilance after recognizing Bella.

Bella pushed open the tent flap and said, "City Lord, look who I brought?"

Alice was standing inside the tent examining a map. Hearing Bella's voice, she smiled and said, "Could it be Levi?"

Bella showed surprise, "Eh? How did you know?"

Lewey walked in, and Alice greeted him with a smile, saying, "Lewey, it's been a long time."

"Alice, Mayor of Rosetown," Lewey replied.

Alice said, "No need for formalities. Just call me Alice."

Bella urged, "You still haven't told me how you knew it was Lewey?"

Alice didn't keep her in suspense and said, "Evelyn told me yesterday that Lewey had come to Petalburg."

Bella's face immediately fell. "She told you but not me."

"Do you know who killed the nectar gatherers?" Bella's expression turned serious as she asked again.

Alice hesitated for a moment, looked at Lewey, and tentatively asked, "It wasn't you, was it?"

Lewey gave a bitter smile. "It was all a misunderstanding..."

He explained the whole situation.

After Alice learned the ins and outs, she nodded.

She didn't say much more.

The urgent matter at hand was finding how to make up for the gap left by the death of hundreds of nectar gatherers.

Lewey told Alice his purpose for coming.

Alice agreed immediately and personally took Lewey to the hive to observe the production process of the floral essence.

Lewey had been unwittingly used by others, disrupting Alice's plans.

He felt guilty and wanted to make amends for his mistake.

The two arrived at the underground hive.
