Bella pushed open the tent flap and said, "City Lord, look who I brought?"

Alice was standing inside the tent examining a map. Hearing Bella's voice, she smiled and said, "Could it be Levi?"

Bella showed surprise, "Eh? How did you know?"

Lewey walked in, and Alice greeted him with a smile, saying, "Lewey, it's been a long time."

"Alice, Mayor of Rosetown," Lewey replied.

Alice said, "No need for formalities. Just call me Alice."

Bella urged, "You still haven't told me how you knew it was Lewey?"

Alice didn't keep her in suspense and said, "Evelyn told me yesterday that Lewey had come to Petalburg."

Bella's face immediately fell. "She told you but not me."

"Do you know who killed the nectar gatherers?" Bella's expression turned serious as she asked again.

Alice hesitated for a moment, looked at Lewey, and tentatively asked, "It wasn't you, was it?"

Lewey gave a bitter smile. "It was all a misunderstanding..."

He explained the whole situation.

After Alice learned the ins and outs, she nodded.

She didn't say much more.

The urgent matter at hand was finding how to make up for the gap left by the death of hundreds of nectar gatherers.

Lewey told Alice his purpose for coming.

Alice agreed immediately and personally took Lewey to the hive to observe the production process of the floral essence.

Lewey had been unwittingly used by others, disrupting Alice's plans.

He felt guilty and wanted to make amends for his mistake.
