Chapter 452: New Tier 6 Spell
Chapter 452: A New Sixth-Tier Spell
Buzz buzz buzz!
A streak of silver light descended upon the ground.
As the radiance faded, Levi stepped out from within it.
He had returned to the teleportation plaza outside the Elemental Tower.
Night had already fallen, and there were barely any figures visible on the plaza.
A skyboat pilot waiting at the edge of the plaza for passengers noticed Levi and quickly called out, “Need a ride? One gold coin per trip.”
“No thanks,” Levi replied.
He directly cast the Object Control spell and flew toward the floating city.
Seeing that it was already late, Levi decided not to disturb Warren’s rest.
He returned straight to Ming Tian’s Domain.
“Eris, are you asleep?”
Levi sent a message to Eris via his magical badge.
Before long, Eris responded.
“What is it?”
Levi: “Do you have a way to contact the Spatial Tower?”
Eris: “What do you want to do?”
Levi: “I left some things behind at the Spatial Tower last time. Could you ask someone there to help send them over?”
Eris: “No problem. Who are you looking for? I’ll help you get in touch.”
Levi: “Victor.”
Eris: “The elder of the Spatial Tower?”
Levi: “Yes.”
Eris was somewhat surprised—he hadn’t expected that Levi had already established connections with an elder of the Spatial Tower.
After a moment of astonishment, he came back to his senses.
Eris: “I’ll try my best to contact him, but Milan might not be able to find Elder Victor right away.”
Levi: “Just do what you can. If it doesn’t work out, I’ll go to the Spatial Tower myself.”
If possible, it would naturally save him a trip.
The cost of going back and forth was exorbitant.
Even Levi felt a twinge of pain at the expense.
Eris: “I’ve contacted Milan for you. She’s probably resting now. Let’s see if she replies by tomorrow morning.”
Levi: “Alright, thank you.”
Eris: “You’re welcome.”
The next morning, Eris used a magical servant to deliver a communication crystal to Levi.
The magical servant relayed Eris’s original words:
“This communication crystal was given to you by Victor.”
Levi accepted the crystal.
He sent a message to Eris: “Thanks.”
Then, he sat in his study and activated the communication crystal.
Light bloomed from the crystal, revealing a figure—none other than Victor.
Victor looked at Levi and asked, “Why did you contact me?”
Levi said, “When will the Amethyst Source Potion be ready?”
Upon hearing this, Victor paused briefly before replying, “In two days. I’ll send it to you directly then. Keep this crystal safe—I’ll contact you again when the time comes.”
Having said that, he looked at Levi once more and asked, “You haven’t told anyone about our... arrangement, have you?”
Levi replied, “We signed a magical pact. Aren’t you well aware whether I’ve leaked anything or not?”
Victor chuckled. “Good, as long as you haven’t.”
“As for that so-called magical pact—we both know its limitations.”
With that, Victor ended the connection.
Levi understood what Victor meant.
Although the magical pact bound both of them, it wasn’t unbreakable.
Neither of them was an ordinary mage—there were plenty of ways to dissolve such a pact.
After signing the pact with Victor, Levi had researched numerous methods to unilaterally break or violate it without suffering consequences.
There were many approaches—though troublesome, none were impossible.
And the simplest method of all was relying on one’s own formidable strength to endure the repercussions of breaking the pact.
Besides, their pact wasn’t one sanctified by divine authority. Thus, even if broken, the price wouldn’t be excessively steep.
Naturally, Levi had no intention of violating the pact himself.
His concern lay mainly in guarding against Victor doing so.
It seemed Victor had no plans to break it either—and even reminded Levi to keep his end of the bargain.
This reassured Levi considerably.
He carefully stored the communication crystal and glanced at the sky outside.
“In just a few more days, I’ll have the Amethyst Source Potion.”
That was one of Levi’s main reasons for returning to the Elemental Tower.
Victor had promised him two vials of the potion.
With those two vials, Levi’s breakthrough to the fifth tier was imminent.
The second matter was taking the Dragonblood Tree with him.
One remaining issue, however, was how exactly to transport it.
Simply moving the tree elsewhere was easy enough—just placing it inside a spatial ring would suffice.
But Levi hoped to find a method that allowed him to carry and cultivate the Dragonblood Tree on his person.
There was indeed a spell capable of fulfilling Levi’s wish.
*Mystera’s Magical Cottage*
This was an exceptionally unique spatial magic spell.
In her youth, the goddess of magic, Mystra, created this spell to forge a secure sanctuary where she could evade danger at any moment.
Unlike ordinary space-creation spells,
the space conjured by Mystra's Magical Cottage was remarkably stable and enduring—
a permanent, non-temporary realm.
It was akin to carrying a personal secret haven.
Yet despite being its creator, Mystra never claimed ownership of the spell.
She selflessly shared it with all mages, hoping each would possess their own safe retreat.
However, the spell was extraordinarily difficult to master.
A top-tier sixth-rank spell,
it was only slightly easier than forbidden incantations above the seventh rank.
Thus, even though Mystra willingly offered the "Mystra's Magical Cottage" spell to the world,
only a rare few mages were capable of learning it.
The spell was recorded within the Sacred Virilia Library of the Elemental Tower.
Though traditional mages held little reverence for the goddess of magic, they had not yet taken advantage of her name for personal gain.
The spell was freely available for anyone to study.
Although termed free, in reality, only sixth-rank mages ever gained access.
After all, the difficulty of learning it was immense, and the spell was stored on the floor reserved for sixth-rank magic.
Those below the sixth rank simply had no chance of encountering it.
As a key member of the Hall of Truth, a Violet Class student, and first-place winner among five elite mage exchanges,
Levi naturally possessed permission to enter the sixth-rank spell storage level.
He arrived at the Sacred Virilia Library to study new spells.
"There really are so few sixth-rank spells."
Glancing at the surrounding shelves, he noticed barely any magical tomes—certainly fewer than twenty.
Levi understood the situation well enough.
Firstly, sixth-rank spells were too advanced; the higher the tier, the harder they were to create, hence their scarcity.
Secondly, such high-level spells were usually private possessions, seldom shared generously by their creators.
The sixth-rank spells available for study in the Sacred Virilia Library were either ancient creations from long ago or ones that had been publicly released posthumously by their makers—or shared at a price by others.
Only a very select few could be studied without cost.
Levi located the spell record for Mystra’s Magical Cottage to begin his studies.
[Mystra's Magical Cottage (Sixth Rank - Beginner)] 0/1000
With his current abilities, learning this spell was quite a stretch.
But at least there remained hope.
