Chapter 440: Erica VS Shadow Servant

Chapter 440: Erica VS Shadow Servant

Erica stood before Levi, her gaze heavy and solemn.

She looked at him and said, "Levi, there is really no need for us to fight."

"You only need to tell my teacher everything you know."

Levi let out a soft laugh. "Heh, I am not targeting you, but I truly look down upon that master of yours."

"Who the hell does he think he is? Why should I tell him a damn thing?"

The moment those words fell, Oates and Allen froze entirely in their tracks.

Holy shit! How fiercely bold!

Was Levi truly not afraid of offending Rox?

Was he not afraid of death?

Erica was stunned as well, unable to recover her wits for a brief moment.

Rox had maintained a faint smile all along, appearing utterly composed from start to finish.

Yet upon hearing Levi’s words, his composure shattered instantly, his face turning dark as a thundercloud.

Rox stared intently at Levi. "Levi, have I given you far too much face?"

"To the point that you actually believe you stand on equal footing with me?"

"Erica, break his limbs. Just leave him with a single breath so he can still speak."

Rox gave the command without the slightest hesitation.

Erica took a deep breath, a sense of helplessness washing over her heart.

Obeying her teacher's command, she instantly entered a state of combat, her eyes becoming incomparably sharp.

When Oates and Allen met her gaze, they both felt a sudden chill rush up their spines.

Erica gave them an aura of immense and absolute danger.

Levi shook his head, having no intention of fighting Erica himself.

"Shadow Servant."

Whoosh!

A white shadow darted out from Levi's side, blocking the path directly in front of Erica.

When Erica saw the white Nitro standing before Levi, a look of astonishment surfaced in her eyes.

"This is... a Nitro?"

Erica was profoundly shocked; she had never expected Levi to be accompanied by a Nitro.

Seeing this, Rox’s eyes flickered, his fingers tapping gently as a thought seemed to strike him.

A Nitro was a rare and precious species.

A creature that did not belong to this world.

Rox had never before managed to obtain a single material specimen of a Nitro.

Now, seeing that Levi actually possessed one, a desire to seize it flared up instantly within him.

While watching the previous matches, he had already witnessed the sheer power of the Nitro species.

If he could conduct deep research into this creature, it would bring immense benefits to his bio-alchemy.

Perhaps it might even allow him to find the path to becoming a legendary bio-alchemist.

After all, during the exchange tournament, that giant Nitro's strength had nearly broken through to the legendary realm several times.

In Rox's view, as long as a Nitro was fed enough Purple Star Stones, it possessed immense potential to breach the legendary rank.

This was the perfect material.

Rox immediately changed his mind, and he commanded Erica.

"Ignore the boy. Capture this Nitro."

He would deal with Levi personally.

Levi harbored the exact same intention.

Hearing the command, Erica felt a quiet wave of relief wash over her heart.

If she did not have to fight Levi, she would have far fewer misgivings.

Bang!

Erica erupted forward, lunging violently toward the Nitro.

The Shadow Servant transformed into a streak of white rainbow, crashing directly into the descending Erica.

Boom!

The two forces collided, unleashing an astonishing wave of concussive air.

The blast of wind swept through the inner chamber, instantly blowing away all the surrounding items and ornaments.

They shattered with a chaotic clatter against the ground and walls.

Countless priceless and extraordinarily precious decorations were smashed to smithereens.

Even Oates could not help but twitch his eyelids, his heart aching terribly at the sight.

Yet rather than mourning the lost fortune, he was far more concerned with the battle between Erica and the Nitro summoned by Levi.

The combat style of the two combatants left Oates utterly astounded.

They were like pure beasts, fist hitting flesh, relying entirely on brute strength for close-quarters brawling.

There was not the slightest shred of martial technique to speak of.

The Nitro could be dismissed as an exception.

It was clearly a monster at first glance.

It was only natural for it to possess such a terrifying physique and strength. But what was the matter with Erica?

Was she not Rox's disciple? Was she not an alchemist?

Why did she possess such a formidable physique and raw power?

This completely defied all common sense.

Alchemists belonged to a branch profession of mages.

By all rights, they should rely on spells to fight just like mages, possessing frail and weak physical constitutions.

Yet the scene unfolding before their eyes completely overturned everything Oates and Allen knew about the alchemist profession.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Erica and the Shadow Servant traded blows, matching punch for punch.

It was entirely a contest of brute force and physical resilience.

There was no technique to speak of between them.

Rip!

Erica tore open her own robe, shedding the cumbersome garment.

Her body, wrapped entirely in magical bandages, was revealed.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The shadow servant manipulated Nitro's body, delivering punch after punch onto Erica.

The magical bandages on Erica’s body glowed brilliantly, neutralizing half the impact.

Erica blocked the shadow servant’s assault.

With a spinning whirlwind kick, she sent the shadow servant flying.

As the shadow servant soared through the air, it activated the Silent Domain.

In an instant, the entire inner hall fell into a soundless void.

The Silent Domain absorbed all sound waves within its range.

Erica stepped firmly on the ground—but no sound came.

For a moment, she felt slightly disoriented, as if she hadn’t touched solid ground at all.

Erica launched herself forward, chasing after the flying shadow servant.

Their figures darted erratically throughout the hall.

Allen watched blankly as shadows flitted before his eyes, unable to make out anything clearly.

He silently took a few steps back, retreating to the entrance of the hall,

to avoid being caught in the crossfire.

He also cast a magic shield upon himself, to protect against stray attacks.

Truthfully, Allen wanted nothing more than to leave this place, yet he couldn't bear to miss such a monumental battle.

Still, it had become rather dangerous for him here.

Never had he imagined that he would be the weakest one present in this fight—

so weak that even the shockwaves might harm him.

Otis could barely keep up with their movements.

Astonishment stirred within him—how could someone like Erica, who looked so young, possess such formidable strength?

At this speed, she was nearly on par with a sixth-tier assassin.

And he himself was only a fifth-tier high swordmaster.

Even watching from the sidelines proved somewhat taxing.

Moreover, he was deeply shocked by Levi’s abilities.

To think Levi could casually summon a sixth-tier monster to fight for him—

Seeing Levi standing off against Lockes,

Otis suddenly realized that Levi likely did have what it took to face Lockes head-on.

It baffled him beyond words.

To rise to the rank of Archmage in such a short time was already shocking enough.

What terrified him more was that Levi’s power clearly extended far beyond that.

Levi and Lockes stared each other down, paying no heed to the fierce battle beside them.

Lockes’ body had undergone modifications; his eyes possessed dynamic vision, allowing him to easily track the swift movements of Erica and the shadow servant.

Levi relied purely on the enhanced physical prowess and sharp sight granted by the Sacred Dragon,

and just like Lockes, he could follow every move made by Erica and the shadow servant.

Lockes gazed at Levi, a faint smirk tugging at his lips as he chuckled lightly.

“So this is your confidence in challenging me?”

Levi regarded him silently.

“Don’t think too highly of yourself.”

Lockes sneered coldly: “I hope you can keep talking big after this.”
