Chapter 420: Comprehending Intermediate Fire Rules
Chapter 420 Comprehending Intermediate Flame Rules
Levi was deeply astonished to hear Hris's explanation.
He exclaimed in surprise, "Do the Genesis Book and the Apocalyptic Book truly exist in this world?"
Hris shook his head and replied, "I do not know, no one knows."
He smiled and continued, "In fact, even with the Book of Truth, we cannot confirm to this day whether it is indeed the legendary 'Book that Records the Present.' The Book of Truth is merely a name bestowed upon it by mages."
"However, none of this is for you to consider."
"Very well, go on in."
Hris stood at the doorway, allowing Levi to enter the grand hall alone.
Levi nodded, bowed politely to Hris, and stepped into the hall.
The Great Elder of the Space Tower had already been waiting within the hall for quite some time.
As soon as Levi walked inside, he spotted a simple and unadorned book floating in the center of the hall.
The Great Elder cast a glance at Levi.
Without any visible movement from him, the massive doors behind Levi shut with a heavy thud.
Levi subconsciously glanced back.
The Great Elder spoke, "You may now read the Book of Truth."
Levi nodded and walked forward.
Drawing closer, Levi saw clearly that the cover of the Book of Truth was adorned with intricate carvings of insects, fish, birds, beasts, mountains, rivers, and flora.
It seemed as though it recorded all things in creation.
Levi reached out to open the Book of Truth, and the very instant his hand brushed against it, his consciousness was violently pulled into the world within the book.
The Great Elder looked at Levi, who stood frozen in place holding the Book of Truth with his eyes tightly shut, his expression remaining entirely indifferent.
In a daze, Levi snapped back to his senses, finding himself standing inside a colossal library.
He looked around to see the shelves piled high with countless volumes.
Gazing upward, the ends of the bookshelves were nowhere in sight, stretching infinitely toward the absolute edge of the heavens.
Endless and boundless.
A prompt
Li Wei heard his voice and came back to his senses. He bowed respectfully and said, "Thank you, Grand Elder."
Then he turned and left.
After Li Wei departed, the Grand Elder returned the Book of Truth to the hands of the Mage Association President.
Li Wei walked out of the seventh-floor hall. Hiris had already left.
He descended alone.
Before his eyes appeared hazy words:
[Intermediate Fire Rule] 25/10000
Once he exited the Book of Truth, the state of comprehension vanished.
If Li Wei wanted to grind experience again, it would become much more difficult.
However, being able to comprehend the Intermediate Fire Rule in one go made Li Wei extremely pleased.
Even if it was harder now, at least there was hope, direction, and goals.
Sooner or later he would grind his way to Advanced Fire Rules.
Li Wei's spirit soared with excitement.
"Li Wei."
Walking along the path, Li Wei suddenly heard someone calling his name.
Instinctively, he stopped and turned his head.
Victor stood in the corner of the corridor, looking at Li Wei.
Seeing him, Li Wei quickly realized what this was about.
The other party had come for the Purple Star Crystal.
Li Wei pondered briefly in his heart, then smiled and greeted Victor.
"Master Victor."
Dodging and hiding would only appear guilty.
Might as well face it head-on directly.
As long as I don't admit it, what can you do—rob me?
Victor was an elder of the Space Tower, a sixth-rank spatial mage.
Though his strength was considerable, to Li Wei he was not an insurmountable foe.
Li Wei had quite a few items capable of dealing with sixth-rank powerful enemies.
Therefore, Li Wei did not fear Victor.
If Victor dared to lay a hand on him, Li Wei wouldn't mind making Victor disappear.
Victor looked at Li Wei and said, "Come with me."
Li Wei remained silent for a moment, then followed in his footsteps.
At this time, showing cowardice was even less acceptable.
Victor brought Li Wei to the fourth floor of the Space Tower.
Each floor of the Space Tower was an independent space.
The fourth floor belonged to research institutions, where large-scale magical research took place.
Ordinarily, outsiders were forbidden from entering.
Under Victor's lead, Li Wei entered without encountering obstruction.
Li Wei felt puzzled—why had he brought him here?
Was this a good place to make a move?
